  2. hey i need a new gearbox crossmember, my car is an r33 with an r32 gearbox and i wanna know if an rb26dett gearbox cross member from an r32 GTR will suit the r33. i can find plenty of images of the rb26dett cross member but very few of the rb20det one, could anyone confirm interchangability?
  3. hey just had a 30e thrown in my r33, dont ask ^.^ and i found i need a few parts to get it back on the road. i need an r32/r33 radiator. also need a gearbox crossmember, manual. but would consider auto. and last i need a front half shaft for the tail shaft, with a yoke to suit an r32(turbo or n/a) or an r33(n/a) may post up more parts as i find i need them but this should be all for now thanks my number is 0400870890 txt or call
  4. Hey im putting an rb30 and rb30 gear box into my r33 i want to know if the front half of the r31 shaft (with rb30e yoke) will bolt to the back half of the r33 tail shaft. Afaik the gearbox i have is the same or aimilar to an rb20det box. Any pictures ahowing the front halfs next to each other would be great

  7. Technically patrols came with rb30s untill slightly after the r33 was made... So it should be ok on paper... Its currently regoed with a 25det. I dont plan on changing it to be honest. If push came to shove it could be engineered without a problem. I had an engineer approve a 95 vs commodore with an rb25det s1 engine from an earlier 33. Conversion starts on sunday but ill put up some pics soon. At this stage i dont think ill turbocharge however ive been dreaming of supercharging, response and torque is the aim here but so is keeping to a very low budget. Have to see if it spins the 245`s on the back lol.
  8. Thought id share my project for both sharibg experience and gaining some. I have a s1 4 door 33 that started life as an automatic 2.5t. It was converted to manual and imported in 2000. Since then whilst in the hands of the previous owner it snapped a rod and an epic 30det was built for the car. After several years of bad luck and skids the previous owner decided to part it out, i brought the rolling shell minus box, engine and radiator. I have a s3 manual gx 31 that is my daily and shortly to be my donor car... Next week im putting the rb30 box and engine into the r33... As a strictly budjet project. Ill be posting up some pics as i go as well as sharing pointers about.interchangability that i come across duribg this rare and retarded conversion... With 4.36 diff gears however im sure it will be interesting.
  9. oh. cool there ya go air brakes... once had one of my mums friends ask when i took her for a spin in the gts-4 "wha?? does this think have those hydralic brakes them trucks have??" so thats as far as my education on brakes on trucks goes
  10. hmmm. i got pulled over at a "defect" set up on clarence street i think it was in belerieve. ive got a r31 rb30e+t, the car was wearing bald front tires at the time (got three punctures in my good ones so chucked some spares on ) car has a woodstock "catch" can. they pulled me over, checked my back tires, didnt check under the hood (i had a dash mounted boost gauge so i thought they might have put the puzzle together) and then gave me a defect notice for having a headlight out, just the headlight not the parker, didnt check my front tires or anything else at all. replaced the headlight, wiring was screwed so i twisted the parker wire together to the headlight wire and bing! no more defect... altough im sure its now heaops dodgier than having 3 lights at the front of your car insted of 4... they only gave me 72 hours to fix my headlight wiring i have noticed quite often lately ive been pulled over alot, i dont mind tho, id like to think that if my car was stolen a cop would pull the crim over thinking it was me (hoon) and licence+bretho check so i could use that licence number they got to find who pinched ma car!! as for your run in with the bov atmo being illegal, should have asked what legislation that reffers to and also what the lmax legal DB reading is and how they were measuring it, sure they would have done you over but its not liek they could have gotten you for hooning if your parked?? lol is a trucks atmo bov illegal?? what about there hydro brakes when they pull up at the lights?? its basically the same sound
