Quite the opposite actually. Stupid? the bloke is new to skylines. its hardly a project. he is asking for advice. and in my opinion, buying an r32 gtr would be a better idea, taking into account the amount of money, time and know-how needed to purchasing and fitting all the supporting mods it takes to a) do the engine swap, and b) making the car stop, handle, and road worthy after its done. is this not an online forum where members are able to give their advice when asked? OP, just to keep these guys happy, go buy an rb26 cut, put the 32 up on blocks in your shed and go for it. fingers crossed its not still sitting there in 2 years time in bits and pieces..

mate, dont get too worked up about the whole thing without being too harsh on the OP, lets be 100% honest with our selves here, we ALL know that this guy IS NOT going too spend the money on converting his gt-t into a gtr look-a-like. Nor is he going to buy a r34 gtr, just to turn it rwd. this is an internet based forum where ALOT of people say things they really dont mean. Now i could be completely wrong, and OP has thousands and thousands of dollars spare to spend on modifying a 12 year old gt-t in such an extreme way, for no real apparent gain, then good luck.

making a gtr RWD... ...compared to turning a gtt into a gtr, its f**king simple.

you can get r33's for much cheaper than that.

do we know what car nissan will be entering? nissan dont have a v8 production car in oz at the moment do they?

the cars has to be based off a production car, does it not? so what are nissan entering?

Ended up putting a deposit on this. Quite happy with the condition of a car the car considering the k's. congrats mate! ive really got a soft spot for a good looking 34 4 door. as said before, have a full service done, make sure the car is in perfect running order BEFORE you go modding it. otherwise its a massive backwards step. there are probably PLENTY of reputable mechanics in your area, have a look in the victoria section of the forum. to perform a full service, you dont necessarily need to take it to a performance garage for a full service, they can sometimes be very over priced.

looking for a cheap little pulsar for a daily. the only examples in my price range are edging on 200,000+ kms. ive never owned a pulsar past the 200,000k mark, how do they hold up? obviously its all subjective to how they have been looked after/ driven. there are plenty for sale rearing the 300k mark, so i guess its got another 100k left in it? FYI it2 200,000+ k's on 1999-2003 models. cheers adam

Hey guys, i really want to attend a few events at Queensland Raceway as a spectator, and start to introduce my mrs more to Motorsport. I have had a look at the 2012 Track day calendar, but was just wondering which events are most entertaining as a spectator? Just saw a 1985 Mustang GT Hatch go for $12k on Mecum Auto Auctions. Was fully restored and race preped. Ive never seen one before, i rikey alot, paint job was fail though.
