  1. second thought, maybe u will be ok coz theyre might be minor differences between the 32 and 33 brakes and rotors combinations so a 32 with 33 brakes may be fine btw, if i didnt use spacers it would only JUST touch the calipers
  2. it wont be fine, i have a 33gtst with 34gtt rims and i need a 2-3mm spacer on the front, rears are fine
  3. Hey everyone, i have a monza atmo bov that came with my car basically i am getting alot of fluttering when backing off the throttle, its almost at a point where i cant let go of the pedal without getting flutter what i done was loosen the bolt on top which i thought would make it require less force to open the piston but the more i loosen the more flutter i get (Note: i think it is coming from the pod filter not the BOV because when i give it a bit you can hear it come out the bov) so am i supposed to tighten the spring so i dont get any flutter? (im guessing its the air chopping on the turbo blades and being heard through the pod because its not getting released out the bov)
  4. havent heard from him in over 3 weeks, getting ridiculous but all should come good in the end... just want my parts ! LOL
  5. what are they weights of the 2 cars? also if you have spluttering over 5k than that would indicate somethings not right
  6. +1 for only to be used in fog
  7. yes as stated above, its a VFD (vacuum fluorescent display) which can be changed but the prices of these things are $200+!!! so dont think ill take that approach will instead be putting a peices of plastic/perspex infront of it... something they use already on some lcd displays etc only thing is getting the correct colour to make it blue... will be going to plastix some time this week and getting some samples will report back
  8. are any special tools required if you want to replace the synchros? like a press or anything like that?
  9. if you drive the car normally, than no need to take it off i rekon people say when racing/drifting they dont like the car steering for itself but than some others say they like it i personally removed it because it was cheaper to get a $70 lockbar than to find out what was wrong with my HICAS and repair it as the light would come on after 10min of driving btw that 2kg your going to save aint going to = shit
  10. mintr33 it is not a globe it is some form of lcd display (i think 32's have a globe) so you cant change the globe or put condoms on there i will take the clock into work tomorrow and hopefully one of the senior tech's will point me in the right direction
  11. on the DIY im sure it said remove the TPS connection to adjust not the AAC plug and as for the amount of turns, i done probably 2 full turns either way and no difference
  12. the usual things check afm for any damage/cracked solder joins check all vacuum hoses for leaks or tiny holes check grounds and electrical connections clean aac valve (search for the diy in the DIY section) since you dont have atmo BOV than it shouldnt be that but my bet is that it is a vacuum/air leak somewhere
  13. gasket was still in tact, and also there was a black rubber type thing on the base of the screw (guessing to prevent vibrating it loose)
  14. whos "this guy"? just a pic you found or someone from here?? looks good and would be easier to do
  15. Posted in the DIY thread about my problem but doesnt seem to be getting any response so ill try here. Basically my car was idling at 900rpm and it would hunt every so often but nothing major, so i cleaned the AAC as described and the hunting pretty much went away and idles much nicer now but the screw in the AAC valve does absolutely nothing??! also disconnecting the TPS electrical plug does nothing either my revs just stay on 900rpm is this normal? what other things can i check to make sure i dont have a problem? and yes i made sure the car was warm before i done this so the cold start doesnt interfere
  16. Just got a second hand r33 clock that i want to mod so it has a blue lcd display instead of green to match the rest of my interior lights now question is what sort of display is it? some form of 7 segment display? im pretty sure is microprocessor controlled and i see an IC under the display but ive never seen these displays before (i work as an rf tech for defence) im guessing no one has done it so far? anyhow any ideas would be good, how is the r32 clock? is it interchangeable coz i hear they have a bulb that gives them the light???
  17. its not difficult at all, just use a stanley knife/blade or even a small pair of scissors to cut the hole
  18. +1 for new pump, dont want it to fail on you again i put a gtr one in and it was very loud (party because of the bodgy workshop that installed it wrong) changed it for a walbro 500hp kit and it was much quieter and pretty much a straight swap, all hoses + clamps come with the kit i think the only thuing i had to change was the connectors for the positive and negative. the 040 bosch is probably equivalent to the walbro one, either way they should both do for approx 250rwkw
  19. You can buy gasket maker at supercheap just make sure its the right one as there are many different types (Some arent oil resitant or fuel resistant bla bla, but you want one for air piping) or you can get the proper gasket from nissan or perhaps you can just buy a $2 sheet of gasket paper and use that?? dont know how well that would work tho...
  20. are they all with the red heat wrap on them? could possible get black? dont really like things to stand out on my car, less hassle if theyre semi-hidden
  21. Did you put in blue leds or the proper wide angle ones that are for sale. With standard leds the light just goes straight and is hard to see with the wide angle ones it is like factory.... if anything maybe just a little bit of a dim will make it better
  22. +1 for the filler cap, put some of that playdo stuff that hardens like steel worked great when they comply the car they dont do a good job of putting the filler neck in
  23. they require a tiny spacer probably 5mm or smaller to clear the calipers on r33s, i found this out when i changed my rotors and my spacer was stuck on the old rotor
  24. pretty sure they are 666dan from here that sells them, i have them. If you can change the normal globe you can do these its a matter of taking your centre console off, a couple screws around the cluster and its out than twist the bulbs out and put the new ones in they look good too, just gotta match the rest of the dash now
  25. seems my car does not adjust its idle??? i tried screwing in/unscrewing the idle screw on the aac valve, nothing happens... sits at 900rpm disconnect the TPS connector, does nothing.... still sits at 900rpm what could be wrong?
