  1. isnt 60 a bit thick ?
  2. taso84 i think your a mistaken with the fuel cut defender maybe your getting it mixed up with the hks speed limiter remover. purpose of the fuel cut defender it to manipulate the afm voltage so u can run some boost before your ecu shits itself but you are right, if u have a pfc this is not needed
  3. definately go bigger than 75mm if going over 300rwkw i was advised from a respected workshop that the jj/gtech etc 600x300x76 ones get a bit dicky up at around 300kw
  4. thats ok, main thing is you dont get a defect
  5. In theory gas shouldnt ever run out. but thats in theory a/c guy rekons you should probably re-gas every 5 years or somthing unless you have a small leak which seems like you do
  6. yeah definately on stands but jacking it up i couldnt find a nice spot putting it on the rails looks like it crushes them
  7. mine has the same problem, not as severe i think as yours but same symptoms. AC will switch off before its time and than switch back on randomly (usually after about 30seconds or so) you can feel it while driving aswell when i got mine re-gassed the guy said it is a sensor of some description thats behind the dash/glovebox area that senses the temperature and turns off the compressor because it thinks its reached the right temp best to get an a/c to check it out.. he will tell u better than anyone on a forum btw cost me approx 150 for a re-gas and new filter/dryer
  8. do a search on hicas and u will find thousands of posts but to keep it short, HICAS is the 4 wheel steering skylines have that turn the rear wheels at 1 degree if your going over 80kph i think around a bend many people just use a hicas lock bar to get rid of it as either 1) they dont like it as they race/drift 2) cheaper to lock it sometimes than to troubleshoot the problem not 100% sure if your problems are directly related to eachother but have a read and see what you find
  9. make sure it is connected up properly, sorry cant help u with how to because im still new to the turbo scene but yeah i had a similar problem and it wasnt installed correctly. usually misfiring happens when your coilpacks are getting old or your running too much boost. That being said most people are running 0.8mm gap (standard is 1.1mm... which im running at with 14psi and standard coilpacks and i have no misfire so im lucky... knock on wood lol) you tap the plug on the concrete to get the gap down and measure it with a feeler gauge. also check the spring and ball inside the controller and see if anything suspicious is going on there sorry cant be much more help
  10. just to add my bit in here. for a series 1 r33 aswell bought the car with full turbo back kakimoto exhaust 132.2rwkw turbotech boost controller 10psi, apexi pod in box and hks FCD 175rwkw front mount, fuel pressure reg, 14psi 204.5rwkw just by someone who knows what they are doing adjusting a few things like fuel pressure and the fuel cut defender after the fmic install i gained a fair bit but yeah dont be too hung up on figures (unless your paranoid like me and think your car is shit lol) oh yeah and 14.7 at the drags with 175kw and suspected slipping clutch
  11. how about the front end of the car with a trolley jack?
  12. good work, i like the idea of this as everyone is getting it cheaper than u can find anywhere else (apart from 2nd hand) its good to help others out and make a bit for your effort
  13. dont they take your km's down every year at the rta (well on your pink slip first)
  14. as the title says, is there a way to see how many k;s a car has done before it come to australia? i heard someone saying there was service that u pay a small fee to that finds out the original k's anyone know?
  15. i gained 30 rwkw (175 to 205) since my last run on the dyno. difference is slight, a bit more wheelspin and pull
  16. as long as it is in a position where it is clearly visible i guess they wont say anything. i rekon if u have it on the bottom lip where it is facing upward instead of forward than they will most probably have something to say about it
  17. sorry to hijack but im also interested.. just a question, my front bar has a hole in it and is getting repaired so if i were to get my front bar sprayed again would i have to do the whole thing or just that area? The area is about the size of a tennis ball
  18. thanks for all your input lads, problem solved (not by me tho) CRD adjusted a few things on my car and found out the canister was not connected properly or something like that (didnt understand 100% what he meant) but yeah after adjusting boost controller, fpr, fuel cut defender hit 204kw at 14psi im happy and now its running as it should!
  19. all pm's sent. and thanks for the advice about taking in macro mode. next time the pics will be better lol i always thought u had to have a close up lens to take close shots
  20. walbro comes in a kit form and is so easy to install, it has a new hose with clamps, rubber mount down the bottom and pickup filter thing. also has a wiring harness with it. The hardest part is cutting the + and - and crimping/soldering them to the new harness LOL. GTR pump uses everything the same so u dont need new hoses etc but it is slightly different on the bottom and wont sit in the cradle with the GTST rubber mount so this is where it gets ugly. If u a suitable piece of rubber and half a brain u could make a similar mount but yeah it help to have everything there when ur tank is opened up and u have no car to get bits and pieces lol
  21. wouldnt a single plate clutch do the same thing?
  22. it has been over a month since i done it, for the matter of 120 dollars i cant be bothered going back especially since they cant see it while it was installed. they will most porbably make excuses etc etc and highly doubt i will get my money back and i dont think there is anything else they can do for me.. i will just not go back there again
  23. theres plenty of people selling, you just jave to have a look around. PSI parts who is a sponsor sells bodykits and they deliver interstate
