saw 2 skylines today at wsid, i think it was kennedys one and a black series 2 with white rims and a cooler, the black one was the slowest getting about 14.6 got me psyched up wanted to take mine for a run but im sure ill get 15+ lol

try to keep signal wires away from power wires also, thats a rule of thumb

hey all just put in a fusion 4 channel, soundstream 6.5 fronts and 6.5 inch fusions for the rears, i also have an alarm with built in turbo timer and also a keypad immobiliser (if that makes any difference) now it seems ive got a random problem which goes like this when i turn the car on to accessories or reds, the radio works. than as soon as i turn the car on (which temporarily turn off cd player while its cranking the motor) the cd player turns back on but the amp goes into protection mode so no sound comes out of the speakers. Its got me stumped. the amp and all speakers are brand new, and i have installed many systems before so i have a good idea on what i am doing. It seems like its getting some sort of voltage spike/drop which the amp doesnt like and goes into protection mode... im yet to measure it on a meter when i turn the car on so than what i have to for it to work is switch the head unit off wait about 20 seconds than turn it back on and it works, or alternatively i can make sure the head unit is off before i turn the car on anyone have any ideas? also to make it worse, it doesnt ALWAYS do it, just about 80% of the time sorry for the essay but dont want to return the amp until i am 100% sure thats the problem (shop is a good 1 hr drive from my place)

thanks for the replies, i was just stating approx 300rwkw as i dont think i will ever get more than that more realistically i hope to get around 250rwkw in about a years time when i get a bigger turbo + computer and other supporting mods. i have no problem cutting into the front bar as its not as bad as the engine bay especially when the boys in blue want to have a peek. is the reo part of the front bar or the car? i think the blitz lm kit is around $1400 or so from autobarn so it will be hard to find for $1000

hey all just doing some reasearch on what front mount intercooler i can get for my 33, i know this topic has been covered alot but id still like to ask some questions what i want is a cooler that will support approx 300-350rwkw (so i dont have to upgrade again later) i would like to get a kit that uses a return that doesnt need to cut into the engine bay so it leaves the car in its original condition if i happen to remove it on sale of the car. From what i have read the blitz LM kit uses that style piping but its hard to find other types. Ive had a look at all the just jap ones but think they are of poorer quality hence the cheap price (u get what u pay for) and also they need cutting to the engine bay to be done and i was also told that the trust m spec ones are made in the same factory in china as the just jap cooloers so yeah... can count that one out (i also think that uses the piping i dont like) basically what are my options, i have a series 1 33 with a modified series 1 front bar my budget is not much more than $1000 but will spend more if it is definately worth it. Id really like to spend $600-$1000 to be honest i have looked at gtr coolers as well but need some opinions on someone more experienced than myself thanks

hey all i hav had my 33 for not even 4 weeks and i have already got 2 stone chips (both from different incidents). They are not big, maybe the size of a grain of rice but im wondering why its so easy to chip ? i had an n13 for 6 years and not one stone chip on it...its weird and pissing me off so what are my options? if i get another windscreen is there any type that is more resistant to chips etc??

i have a similar problem, can hear some sort of noise/vibration but goes away at 2.5k rpm mechanic says its the clutch that is out of balance or gone

seems like the sound has gone, has been gone for the last days or so, so it could has been a rock or something like that stuck in there thanks

im not much of a fan of the throwovers, i rekon they are too messy in a sense...but thats just my taste

should it be sitting at the 4 mark when it idling? isnt that a bit high? my oil pressure are like security mentioned in the earlier posts, sometimes at idle its at about 1 bar tho which could be a bit low

i pulled my door trims off today to install some speakers and i had a look on my window and realised i have a big scratch mark up the INSIDE of the drivers windows (which i just got tinted 3 days ago!!!!!!!!!) im so upset this has happened as i didnt see any scratches before the tint also the fury pads look to be just about brand new on both passengers and drivers side so i dont know what the problem is its a 33 btw

hey fellas just wondering where can i get those weathershields for the windows so i can wind down my windows a bit and not have to worry about the bloody water dripping straight in the car and onto the electrics. its really annoying i know they might look crap but i think they may be necessary thanks

ok mechanic checked it on his computer, came up with 2 errors about there being no signal sent from sensor now how would i check if the sensor is connected or oven there for that matter? i assume its in the steering column or just behind the wheel ?? btw i have a standard steering wheel on there but it could have been changed before

yes it gets faster as speed increase but once u reach a certain speed (maybe 60 or 80ks) it disappears, also if u are going slower than say 20kms its not there will take off tyres on the weekend and tell u how it went
