  1. yes just go try it there take a socket with you... will only take 10mins max to change it they will gladly take it back if it isn't a good fit i dont know why it touched my crossover pipe... maybe i have something funky going on with my engine height ???
  2. easiest thing ever i think lol undo 2 nuts on top of each strut (4 in total) slip on bar and put the nuts back on
  3. do as suggested above, just for the record what did you actually do when u installed the bar?? when i installed mine i did not need to do anything with fluid etc, just undo the 2 bolts holding it in and also undo the ends of the original hicas unit, than replace with new lock bar theres a tutorial for an r33 in the DIY section
  4. they touched my crossover pipe so i returned it, tried another one and the same thing
  5. is this the same for r33 ? i know that guide is written for an r32 which has the ambient button, but the r33 doesn't have that button
  6. if you need to keep your old one than best is to get a ring spanner that has a slot in it (good quality one, china ones will just bend and round the bolt) or i have seen a special tool for the job as well, sort of like a socket with a slit in it like this http://www.autobarn.net/lis12100.html using an open ended spanner if its seized can make the problem worse but rounding it if you don't need it anymore, cut the wires and use a socket and as mentioned before, needs to soak in wd40 or the like and use a breaker bar if you don't have enough leverage
  7. hey fellas i dont the diagnostics on my r33 a/c system the symptoms are, i get hot air on and off when i turn on the A/C (can hear compressor turning off and on randomly so i rekon it thinks that car has reached desired temp) hold the off button for 5 sec, all lights up press UP and 2 flashes.... gives error 25 (sun sensor) press UP and 3 flashes.... gives code 30 (all good i assume) press UP and 41 comes up and sounds like the air con starts going..nothing else happens press UP and 5 comes on but nothing happens can someone explain each step for me i thought it done some temperature test aswell but maybe coz it wont pass code 25?? yes i tried the car in bright sunlight and in the night and still get the error 25 almost 100% sure its a sensor just not sure which one... had the drier/filter replaced and regassed at the end of 06
  8. cool now i guess the next question is, are the new bushes i got going to fit or more importantly are the current ones worn i will take a photo tomorrow and show you guys to see what you think. It looks like its got a crack all around it but nothing major
  9. sorry to hijack but didnt want to make a new thread id like to know where i can dispose of old motor oil? i have about 5 x 5L bottles sitting at home lol
  10. so the bushes are only nismo but the rods are stock?
  11. took some photos, these were in daylight not too bad
  12. Hey fellas was doing some work under the car and noticed these, are they orignal or aftermarket nismo items? also by that pic, i know its not a good one but does that look like a tear in the bush or is that how they are coz i bought new ones but not sure if they are the same size if these are not orignal equipment (have to measure them) heres a pic
  13. I went to plastix and bought a 3mm thick peice of coloured perspex, cant remeber the number probably 302 anyhow you can try it in there as they have sample peices. perfectly blue clock and a/c panel only thing is, it gets a little darker if u put it behind the existing tinted glass and if you replace the glass you can see the blue perspex in the daylight which doesnt look that good so its kind of a lose lose lol anyhow its only dark in the bright daytime in direct sunlight but still readable. FYI perspex cost $10 as it was the minimum purchase price and i got a sheet about 200x200mm so enought to do plenty lol if i can be f**ked ill take a picture
  14. price drop, updated in first post
  15. any updates bob? havent received them yet
  16. interested in a trade for some 19" rims? prob not but worth a try
  17. I don't think theres a procedure on the whole swap here, maybe im wrong but haven't seen one
  18. it really depends on the place and who is doing it. Pretty much all places do not let you inside the workshop for safety/insurance reason but the smaller type workshops usually let you stay and watch. Me personally i dont like places that make you wait in a waiting room without the option of having a look, even if it is from far away and not right next to it
  19. just to add, ordered some castor rod bushes, will replace them by monday/tuesday and will let u know how it goes if that fails, will probably get new control arm bushes
  20. what condition is it in?
  21. nope, not unless i get a buyer for both
  22. bumpity bumpity still for sale, interest shown but no buyers
  23. just an update, all parts delivered personally installed swaybars and subframe mount bushes and f**k what a difference.... very good and recommended
  24. +1 on spend money elsewhere best colours are black, white and gunmetal imo
  25. ALSO to add something i just remembered... when i bought my car it has 4 new tyres which i assumed to be balance but most probably not aligned anyhow... after 6 months or so i have MASSIVE wear on the inside front right tyre where incidently is where im getting the knock what bushes/components would determine camber on the front?? im assuming its too much camber due to a worn bush or something anyhow thanks so far cheers
