well i just bought it, and never owned a turbo before, so juts gonna learn how to drive it before i start to push it, last thing i want is to smash up my baby haha, it's pretty stock, hks BOV, HKS Pod filter, front and rear struts, 18" rims, turbo back exhaust, in the ca18det, so it's by no means a monster, but it has enough power for me:) when i learn to drive i will be goin to the track heaps me thinks:D:D where abouts are you from? would love to meet up and compare:D what you got done to yours?

correcto, auto non turbo are quite hard to come by, decent looking ones at least, consequently, due to their rarety, the prices are similar to gts-t's of the same year etc :S

ok guys, i'm currently looking for a skyline, as some of you may or may not know, and have test drove a few, first of all, in one of the 33's i drove, the indicators flashed at double speed, which i'm told often means there is a dodgy wiring, but all of the indicators work, they just all flash rapidly, however i was told by the owner that this was standard in skylines, can anyone clear that up for me? secondly, i was told that a flashing AIRBAG sensor in the dash was because a panel on the side of the wheel was pulled open out of curiosity and it went off since then, logically this makes sense, but can anyone confirm it? finally, what is the law's regarding driving a manual with an automatic licence? obviously it's illegal, but what kind of punishment is involved if caught?? as there is so few skylines with auto, compared to manual, was just wondering what the situation was... quick replies would be awesome! thanks heaps guys. As title states, i'm after a non turbo auto r33, preferabley white, black or silver, but any colour is up for consideration, i'm located in melb, but can really go anywhere in vic for it.. have cash now, would like to purchase before christmas!! thanks all:) Dave

just regarding people talking about done up magna's, you are probably talking about the magna "VR-X", they are stock from the mitsubishi factory with chrome wheels, and a meaner styled body kit, but there is also people that do them up, but to answer why people are seeing them more and more it's probably the VR-X model magna, they come with engine modifications as well, it's all on wikipedia if your at all interested:) just thought i could clear up a few things:)

ahh what you say is true, but then if i had those things on any car i'm sure i'd get pulled over...i guess ill test drive both and just see what happens, you said you had 3rd party insurance, but i read insurance companies won't pay out because it's an illegal car anyway? i guess you where lucky enough not to get into any accidents... ahh the decisions are endless and so hard...i live in a pretty low risk area, eastern sub's of melb but hrmmm...

ahhh thats not a bad idea mate, thanks, when you say you drove a your 33 turbo does that mean you where driving it illegally? if thats the case, where you getting pulled over left right and center or what was the go there? how did you avoid going to court? (this is not me kicking your suggestion in the teeth stuartlaw_78, merely just curious )

yer mate it definately has, thanks heaps for your more mature perspective on it, i think i might move on a r33 NA and see how it goes, and learn how to drive, and insurance would own me on a NA car so therefore i can build up my own rating as opposed to having it under my parents name and then when i turn 21 get a real monster, anyone that has any other idea's regarding car's i'm very open to suggestion though, or anyone that has any information on NA 33's would be very much appreciated! and i can't wait till i'm 21 when ill buy a monster of a 34 gtr or something ridiculous:)

nah mate i can completely understand where you're coming from, yer i have driven a turbo'd car a few times before and i can understand what you're saying, do you think an r33 gt is a waste, because they do still look awesome, but i can get some experience before driving a 190 kw animal? what kind of times and how slow are the non turbo'd 33's? i'm considering this or a supra, but i prefer the look of the 33, and also they are more in my price range, but they just lack power compared to an NA supra, i know i don't need break neck acceleration, but i do enjoy my car's and don't want to be driving a slug... any other advise/wisdom/opinions or facts about naturally aspirated car's 33's would be much appreciated!

yer i'm looking at supra's at the moment, they are however, quite costly, but they are looking like one of the few options, s14's are right on the limit, 125kw but in my price range look fairly ordinary unfortunately...is there anyway to increase the safety of a non air bag car for the sake of my folks? harnesses? or something? that would open up a whole nother world for me in terms of what i could get...

i would have loved an s13, but there is so few that have a drivers air bag, which is the only reason i've looked past the r32, but i agree, the FR cars are in my opinion the way to go, is a civic type r within the victorian p plate limits??

hrmm what you say is true, but idealy, i'd like to be able to learn how to drift in my own car, and that's really not feasible in any FF car..but thanks for your input do you happen to know anything about transplanting airbag's into older cars? or have you any other suggestions regarding any other jap car's that i might have not considered...would a 2.5l twin turbo soarer eat petrol/ and get me mauled on insurance?

but arent integra's FWD? are non turbo 33's really really sluggish or what's the deal there?
