I guess it depends what you can offer. I have no idea what the mats would be worth. I am mostly after the cash, sorry mate. If anything I would be looking for swaps for small manual hatchbacks... Ashley. -

1996 Model with 135,000klms. Automatic gearbox RB25DET. Ashley (0422 972 257) I am available all week for the next month. Call anytime, leave a viocemail or email me at ashxmax(AT)hotmail.com I purchased the car after my first child arrived 3 years ago with 100,000klms. I am the first owner after the Australian importer. It is used exclusively getting me to work in peak hour up and down Princess Highway/King Georges Road in Sydney. It doesn’t do trips shorter than 30 mins. It returns approximately 12.8-13L/100 km depending if/how the climate control is used. The suspension was expensive and totally necessary. It handles 100% better with about 10% more noise transmitted to the cabin from the stiff bushes. I have never fiddled with the boost. There appears to have been no tampering with the high/low boost switch/solenoid. Modifications and Maintenance: • Bilstein/Whiteline Suspension kit: Bilsein shocks Height adjustable via circlip, Whiteline springs, Whiteline swaybars adjustable front and back, Whiteline bushes (camber and caster adjustable), Subframe bushes (pineapples) • 3 inch dump pipe and cat (the full system never made it on) • Oil and filter every 5-6,000km, it has never used oil. • Replaced timing belt, water pump and spark plugs at 100,000km. • Serviced transmission at 105,000km. • Replaced Exhaust Manifold and 12 exhaust studs at approximately 120,000km. (This has taken care of the two issues with RB25 engines) • 4x Federal 595 EVO tyres approx 2,000km ago. Some of the standard features: * Power windows, mirrors; steering; boot closure; * Driver's and Passenger's airbags; ABS; * Dual Sunroofs; Climate control air-conditioning; * Reclinable and fold-down rear seats (almost flat load floor); Hooks and tie-down points in the luggage bay; 12v lighter socket in the rear luggage area; * Luggage bay safety net; Privacy glass (rear doors and rear luggage area); * Floor Mats (including boot floor mat) This is not an immaculate car. It has some blemishes inside and out but still presents well.

I questioned Jason/SkidKid on his modified 32 gtr exhaust a while back. This was his reply... I purchased an X-force Mild steel R33 belmouth dump (8mm flanges) a while back. It needed a lot of persuasion to bolt to the cat. The shape of the pipe off the turbo flange also saw the need for one of the bolts to be shortened. Since the install Autosport Engineering in Kirrawee and I have had a total of 5 attempts to get the turbo to Exhaust manifold gasket to seal. Autosport put an extra 4 nuts on the manifold to turbo studs about 2 months ago and it is leaking again. It looks as if the illshapen dump could be prising the turbo off the manifold.. Focus: Just Jap Quality Varies, last i spoke to them they were happy to admit this and would be just as happy to replace a faulty part. If your dump needs more than a little persuasion to fit take it back and have it replaced.

V35 Sedan As A Family Car?
ashlogan replied to ashlogan's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
We really want a manual, but if one couldnt be found we would be fine with the conventional auto. Call me prejudiced but i dont like the idea of the cvt. A car without "gears" freaks me out a little. My mind is not totally made up, i soppose a drive of one would be in order. -
V35 Sedan As A Family Car?
ashlogan replied to ashlogan's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Thanks for the replies Warren. Your help is greatly appreciated. I have found that the v35 boot is approximately 410 litres, our current commodore is 475 litres. A pretty small compromise really. My partner and i would prefer the 350gt Manual, but we could probably cope with an auto. A CVT was never an option. Id like to think that i could sacrafice a bit and live with the 250gt or the 300gt but i dont think i could take it knowing there is a better version out there for a few more dollars. I have found this one 350gt It looks to be pretty clean with low k's. This is the spec we would be after and kilometers up to the 60k range wouldnt bother us too much. Does this really have the brembos? How often do the manual sedans come up? Would they be outnumbered 10:1 by the gt8 models? More searching has shown that Commodore Sv8s from 2003/4 come in at around the $25-$30k mark. The commodore, although flawed in many ways makes a good argument. The extra size, availability of manual versions, sheer grunt and tuning possibilities may sway me... Then there are m35 stageas to consider yet. Let me know what you guys think... -
Hey my name is Ashley. After reading the latest HPI with the v35 250gt Sedan review in it i have some questions about the V35 as a family car. My partner and i currently have a vx commodore sedan and a c34 Stagea. The commodore looks like it will get the chop soon. The m35 stagea would be the logical choice but we may not need something that large. 1. What kind of boot capacity do they have? How would it compare to the vx commodore for example? 2. Rear seat space. Would a 6 foot tall male fit comfortably behind someone of equal size in the front? 3. Interior trim durability. How does it hold up with daily use/abuse? 4. The tiptroonic feature on the 4 and 5 speed autos. Is it a gimmic or a genuinely useable perofrmance feature? 5. Ride quality/NVH/Smoothness. Anything would be better than the Commodore and my stagea has the whiteline/bilstein package. Would a V35 be simply better or would it toally outclass our current cars? The V35 seems like a dark horse in the $25k family car race. Our other options are the m35 stagea, Commodore/falcon, Subaru Liberty etc etc. I would love to hear your thoughts, particularaly on the points listed above. With so few v35 owners on the street this forum must be a goldmine. Thanks in advance.

While i was at Just Jap today i saw the Stagea HKS Hi Power cat back on display. Unlike the Hi Power systems for most other cars the Stagea one has a proper middle muffler. Perhaps HKS knew there would be drone issues without it... How lovely.

Im after a stock rb25det exhaust manifold to replace the cracked one in my stagea. Any rb25det manifold will do the job. Prefferrably in Sydney. PM me or call 0422 972 257.

A few questions about your exhaust FLYSLY: 1) Is it defiantely the HI POWER and not the HI POWER SILENT? does it have a proper middle muffler or just the hotdog/resonator thing? I was always afraid that the drone would be unbearable with the HI POWER. 2) How is the ground clearance? i have the whiteline/bilstein suspension kit (like many here) and with 335mm centre of wheel to guard (the top circlip) im having some exhaust clearance issues... and thats with the stock exhaust. These are the things that have been holding me back from getting the HI POWER. If you could ease my mind I would be very appreciative.

Wouldn't "importing" ska's car be a whole lot easier than dealing with shipping, compliance and the wait? Its a known quantity and seems to be well set up.

Hi A Reasonable Price For A Stagea And Advice Please
ashlogan replied to joshsmum00's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Considering that your husband may prefer the Series 1 model, I would suggest considering looking at private sales. About 5 months ago I got my Series 1 with some cosmetic issues for $10,000 from a private seller. I have noticed that more Series 1 stageas are falling into this price range now. It seems that some of them aren't cosmetically compromised like mine either. A 10-11k car would leave a lot of cash in the bank. Perhaps my experience with children is different, but an immaculate car can quickly turn into an ordinary one with a few kids around. -
My series 1 has electric mirrors that can retract via a switch on the drivers door. Im pretty sure its a standard feature. I havent seen a jap import that doesnt have this feature.

I was really hoping not to have to do this but here i go... When i power up the IEBC i get all three LEDs lit up and i cannot get the hand controller to display anything at all. I have tested all resistors, put the link in to the 4mhz (*edit* and 20mhz) "crystals", plugged the controller in before I power up the IEBC, the link under the db25 socket is in, I have played with the Hand Controller trimpot, I have been over the notes and I have the correct cable. All my soldering looks ok to me, although, obviously i am far from an expert. At this stage I am struggling to maintain my sanity. If anyone can help I would be extremely appreciative. Here are some pictures... IEBC top. IEBC bottom. Hand Controller Top. Hand Controller Bottom. *Post revised. Now i think it makes a little more sense.
