Japanese Drifting Vs Arabic Drifting
m3gtr replied to tacker's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
theyre f**king lunatics the lot of them i tell you... absolute f**king loons. good drift but..do it again! -
I have to admit, that was a pathetic advert. gotta be thankful though boys...not a skyline in sight. The ford doesnt do anything better than smoke it up.. the commonwhore doesnt even have LSD, and the celica driver wishes his car had boost! thanks for the laugh RTA... :laughing-smiley-014: now... your point was..?
-
If thats true theyve ripped off Jackie Stewart for the helmet design.. the second part is, again, lap of the gods and its prost behind the wheel..
-
Thats right. That clip is from lap of the gods. Great video although a little old now..
-
Lewis Hamilton stacked his Vodafone go kart at an event today!! ahaha, lets hope thats the only wipeout he has this year!! it was a total noob mistake! :laughing-smiley-014: :laughing-smiley-014: check it, helmet cam style. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K_4uhYoMEX0

Supposedly the second fastest street car in japan... That might actually be true although i have my doubts, Pete. that thing is packed chock-a-block full of automotive goodness!
-
FARK ME. that is the toughness.. :)
-
just a troll lads wading through the quagmire.. pay no attention to the unsightly behemoth..
-
a putra eh? quite fitting for the thing actually.. whats the malaysian word for putrid or puke? probably something related to that car if im not mistaken. as if afficionados wouldnt have spotted the roof line at first glance... geez blimey crikey and all the rest. This IS supposed to be a skylines forum is it not?!
-
what the hell was my last post mate??? ffs..im talking to myself around some of you..

Im going to get back on the proverbial track and make a very serious suggestion. People on this forum have asked the question about what they can do to improve the sport. I have a suggestion on this. Those that are serious should come over here and meet some of the professionals. rub shoulders, make contacts establish friendships. I can personally introduce you to some of the people in D1 including those from team orange which is an arm of "kumas" ebisu circuit stable as well as Manabu Orido who is a good friend of someone i know. Im sure they will in kind direct you towards others as well who can help set up something between the two countries, whether you come here or they go there. this way you can connect with those already established in the sport and i have also had talks with them and some have expressed their desire to drift down under. There are people in Australia and Japan with fat enough wallets to make this happen and if an "alliance" of sorts can be established it will no doubt be towards the growth of the sport and recognition not just in the public eyes over here but also in Australia too. Some representatives from DA should come over here and represent the SPORT, not just their own greedy personal interests. i will wait to see if any one is serious about this because im not going to bother if its all going to be hot air.. i really cant be bothered investing my time into it if others wont take it seriously. Its a start.

i agree on both counts! but the shiba sells upward of 3 to 4k here! ive seen chihuahua's here that had a 5 thousand dollar tag on them!!! absolute insanity. I do agree though that a V8 will appeal more to the masses even if its the dogs breakfast to the purist...
-
now that is a tough machine!
-
oh i was going to mention the shiba inu just before! ironic you mentioned it. Yes its a beautiful dog. see a lot of them here curly tailed little wonders of nature with japanese eyes to boot! i wonder how much you paid for it in oz? you wouldnt want to know how much dogs and cats for that matter are over here.. your jaw would drop open if i told you..
-
no no...everyone on here is a loudmouth dont feel bad about it! we fit right in.
-
not the best example of a rolemodel for the sport then i gather.. what about yourself 1400? how would you conduct yourself in public if you were in his shoes?
-
dont need to be but my wife is...does that count?
-
scathing, your using some big words now and i guess you must have your thinking cap on. i wonder what happens to your gray matter when you remove it. Inane? That would imply that what im saying is empty which it clearly is not although you are entitled to your own opinion. Its insensitive of you to just casually dismiss the issue like it was insignificant and unsubstantiated when you werent the one that had the dubious honor of being the only nation on earth to be bombed not once but twice with a nuclear weapon. Show a bit of global sympathy. My only point to all this before you blew it out of proportion and left me no choice but to check you was that the tone, attitude and underlying meaning of the words delivered left me in no doubt that the person in question had no idea what hed just said was offensive. i call it arrogance. You say that you dont think "jap" is an offensive term. I dare you, actually challenge you to find a Japanese person who agrees with you on your point. you may find it acceptable but that just proves how callous and insensitive you are as a person. As long as its alright for you then its alright, isnt it?
-
The last time i went to an event was here in Japan. i suppose it doesnt count. Sponsors have little or no say in what driver says publicly except for when it is about their company. I do NOT agree with you though on Jap being the same as aussie. Honestly and i will not go on about this point after this post, is that during the wars Japanese people were called japs in a very derogatory way. Aussie has never had a negative stigma attached to it and in this day and age, to use that term, is an endearment but to use "jap" is purely insensitive. Have you read any good history books lately? im glad to see you can admit there are "loudmouths" within the sport. Would you go so far as to say that this is a problem for DA's image or is it acceptable behaviour?
-
the fact that you are on here gives me reassurance and im glad you are saying this. I think you will find plenty of advice on here if you read between the lines by the way...sometimes its tough though to keep your emotions in check..
-
So you admit that even yourself cant find a better way to say that so as not sound like a bigot and a racist? Charming and eloquent aren't you? Quite the way with words.
-
scathing i never said having self confidence equates to arrogance. The words are completely different. A healthy ego is important. Spouting off is detrimental to a healthy ego. Knowing you can go out there and do the job and do it well is great, fine and dandy but some peoples hard work gets flushed the minute they open their traps... A few lessons in public speaking or the close eye of a manager would bode well for many competitiors in the sport/.. maybe australians at large think its okay to be a total wanker infron of the camera just as big brother is in V8 supercars..maybe people think you need to be that way to be successful..to get ahead, to rattle the opposition. Total feckin bollocks. Your more likely to totally disarm your opponent by not giving off the slightest hint of ignorance and arrogance. That would do the head in on many an aussie competitor. Look at lewis hamilton. The guy is just 22, yet he holds his tongue, lets his skill do the talking and is amiable, polite, well presented all of which is a wet dream for any PR agent. anyway, what difference does it make whether youre racing in F1,DA,GT,V8 or down at the pub drinking with friends, buying groceries or filling up on gas.. were talking civilities here..everyday, run of the mill civilities. Finally and by no means least, the word "Jap" really gets under my skin. Its the equivalent of gook or nip or any other derogatory name for people of asian descent as far as im concerned. It should never be used, period. terrible way to refer to someone in my opinion and that was on television!
-
ummmm...i dont think so to be honest... on another note..., what everyone on this bloody forum keeps forgetting is that drift ORIGINATED from japan. your taking the bloody sport and claiming its your own! And next time i hear a bloody aussie mutter the words " yeah, then we'll be able to take it to the Japs." ( as i did hear on a DA telecast that i got from the web ) im going to come down there and take care of the situation. simple as that. not only is racism and bigotry prevalent in the sport theres TOO MUCH BLOODY EGO. No one can admit to the sports true weaknesses...NOT ONE person. Ive made them clear as daylight having observed and understood from there and now from here and yet no on eis willing or got the guts to take the heat for it. Typical.
-
the average NOVA slave gets paid less than that in many cases.. chain schools in Japan are like working for Maccas. fast food english.. Im lucky enough to work or a university. Do private lessons on the side to boost the income..make enough money thats for sure.. you can do it for sure but deciding whether you will be short or long term will also dictate how serious your job offers get,...
