  1. woud you like to see the race for yourself courtesy of itv?? Pm me for details?
  2. relax mate, cant take a joke? I'm not the God father of drift, but Tokyo is... or has everyone over there forgotten about that? no need to take it so personally, jeez. by the way, caught the drift competition off a torrent yesterday and man does australia have a long way to go to be at the standards Japan has set. Its going to be a while before Oz can say it has a top level competition in Drift.
  3. like how to spell and make legible sentences?
  4. thats a very good insight. You have to think and anticipate that others will make the mistakes and then you will already be avoiding any future accidents subconsciously. Theres food for thought.
  5. Im not bragging at all. I know what i know and understand what i understand, simple as that. You either know you have skill and talent because of your experiences and training or you kid yourself and others into thinking you do. there is no such thing as luck when it comes to driving. Luck is defined as " success or failure bought about by chance rather than through ones OWN ACTIONS." Since you are in control of the vehicle your own actions dictate what will or will not happen. I appreciate your 2 and 1/2 cents though.
  6. your going to have to come to Japan to take me on. lets see now, well, will suzuka suffice? or maybe even fuji speedway? In any case and back to the point, im smart enough not to endanger any one else because of my actions and responsible enough to know when the right time and place is. Too many people dont. The guy in question is obviously part of the latter. I wouldnt want to associate myself with anyone that irresponsible and least of all beacuse of people thinking i have the same level of intelligence and driving skill.
  7. Hamilton wins! what an unbelievable race. F1 rookie takes his first win, outclasses illustrious teammate and leads the drivers championship. Alonso makes an ass of himself no less than 8 times, Massa and Fisichella blackflagged, Raikkonnen nowhere, 10 second stop and goes galore, botched pit strategies, a super aguri passing the world champ in the final laps for 6th position(!!), the other missing out on points because of a hit and run on an animal on the track (??), and the worst accident i have ever seen anyone walk away from, EVER without so much as even a broken bone...It such a testament to the strength of the modern F1 monocoque. If that were any other F1 era Kubica wouldve been killed instantly. Contrary to previous reports Kubica did not sustain a broken leg. He will apparantly be released from hospital today. i cant wait for next week.
  8. took the words right out of my mouth.. by the way, what kind of car do you drive NOS man?
  9. Whos going to win tomorow? any takers?
  10. speak for yourself buddy. Just because you claim to be an under performing driver does'nt mean i am too. I not saying i cant drive a car to ITS limits but i know MY limit and i do race and have had professional training. Id gladly run rings around you for being so conceited. Just so you know, a machine is only as good as its driver or didnt they teach you that when you took your driving/racing school for dummies course??
  11. Richard i was thinking of uploading that exact vid a couple of days ago, instead loading up the detroit vid of cheever in the wet.. that turbo hauls major ass though... those were the good old days..
  12. i cant believe the start hes had. I havent seen anything like this since i started watching F1 when i was 7 years old.. truly a supernatural but I think id put him in the shade if i had the chance!
  13. Lewis Hamilton secured his first pole position with a demoralising, at least for Alonso, lap time of 1 min 15.707 that will surely give him his biggest chance for his first win in F1...Alonso dropped the ball at the final chicane and weaved across the line in frustration knowing Hamilton had him and there was nothing he could do about it. Personally i couldnt be happier for Lewis... Hes not just going to win races but championships with them.. lets hope Canada will see the start of that. great Quali, awesome action and good to see Webbo up in 6th for redbull.
  14. "phuman" is a friend of mine...i know hes had to make some changes to the car but has anyone spotted him on the road recently? b good to hear some news.
  15. hey you think spotting cars in Japan where i am now counts for this thread seeing as i come from adelaide?
  16. you should've said you saw a pretender masquerading as a F2004!!
  17. oh yeah nearly forgot.. last year i actually met the guy who won the championship in the real F2004..and no he wasn't plastic.
  18. You actually think you saw Ferrari's F2004..? What you saw was a shell similar to a life size plastic model, with nothing in the middle...1:1 scale. So valuable they only put a flimsy rope around it to protect it from all the groping hands.. :laughing-smiley-014:
  19. something along the lines of this.....know this guy pete? Hachiko crossing, Shibuya, midday Robs out cold... No..i didnt lay him out..he just cant handle his booze.. Kawasaki city, 2:45pm 15/2/2007 Spot the giant Japanese freak... this guy was massive. The other dude with the mike was standing on a box and he STILL wasnt as tall... :laughing-smiley-014: Just take a look at the label on these things at donquihote... The package should read : "not everyones hung like one.."... Its always fun to notice non-sensical Japlish..this one was good. Im going to start another thread on this topic alone..oh the fun we can have!!! ive seen junior high kids with these cases on their desks!
  20. I will try not to just limit my diary to just photos cause so much interesting stuff happens to me here and itd be a shame not to share some of the funnier photos that i manage to snap...as Peter can attest to..hes witnessed his fair share, havent you mate?
  21. AND.....just infront of that benz was this Veilside Silvia. See the guy all the time..Cheap midlife crisis type a dude.. Nice kit though.. Has anyone seen a sticker from Veilside like this before? ... Side profile... nice, if a little old, rear end...
  22. .....and 10 meters down from where the GTR was there was a very nice Carlsson SL Merc.. all in spitting distance from my office. I was too slow to get a shot of the M5 that drove past while i was taking pics of this.. the douchebag scratched the rims up pretty bad but...
  23. all these photos are being taken with my trusty and powerful 5 MP sharp phone. Not bad i think you will agree. I bought the camera and a phone came with it. Two days in a row and this time its on a WRX! Akihabara does strange things to people. Otaku is a word that springs to mind.. literally 10 metres away was this very poor looking R34 GTR. The thing obviously wasnt being looked after.... ...tacky and very crappy stickers.. ..although it did have a carbon rear diffuser... not too bad in this light...
  24. Seeing as I have the privelage of being in Tokyo and im surrounded by all types of car exotica i have decided to start a little thread of my own based solely upon the crazy cars i come across. This wont be solely focussed on nissans cause beauty comes in all shapes and sizes doesnt it? enjoy. M3gtr. I work in Akihabara and see nice cars all the time in this part of tokyo..but some are beyond description... like this for example.
  25. even better : high performance cars dont kill people, low performance drivers do.
