  1. Can you hypnotize SAU and all my Japanese angst away from me Tez???? Well!??? Can ya??!!
  2. As an aside, the Wangan in its main stretch from Shinjuku across Yokohama bay is awesome. As long as you know where the cameras are ( and in Japan they tell you - how amazing is that...none of this "camera in a wheelie bin" shit ) you are free to go as fast as your car can take you. The other that springs to mind is the highway ring that surrounds greater Tokyo. Ive had amazing times on these roads. It really did feel like a game at times, in that the machine i was playing, was grip, pitch and yaw sensitive too, lol//.,/. That and the small fact i could actually die. I'm really starting to warm to the Fonz in many areas not least of all in the way I communicate to it and it to I, but it....well...it has ...drawbacks a Euro definitely does not have...
  3. Thats not iro hazaka is it?? Ive been dying to drive those myself if it is. I was there once and shot some video from the passenger seat but swore to return once i had a car. Its only one way in each direction right? One uphill and one downhill? If it is you can see drift marks on the road and yes on the barriers - i dont think its limited to tourist busses only, lol
  4. Came back from Shimoda with the missus today and took the Izu skyline back towards Odawara. Dont know if any of you have driven this but as my wife correctly quipped, "It's like a huge 25 kilometre roller-coaster!" The blacktop was supersmooth, the roads undulate and pitch on and off camber, corners range from tight to flowing, are surrounded by rich hills and greenery and it only cost 350 yen to get on - it had only 2 cars going in my direction that were dispatched quickly and the rest of the way was glorious driving heaven. Seriously. Mari was busy observing the scenery and the speed from time to time ( nag ) while i focussed on the road, so there's something for everyone. Half way up there's a lookout where you get a wicked view of the Izu peninsula and Mt Fuji when the weather is clear and then a stop off in Onsen town. Ive never had so much fun "alone" on a road as i did today. The best part of all.... There are NO cameras the whole way! I swear Japan is built partly for those of us who really love driving with leniency in mind. What about the rest of you 外人? What roads have made a serious impact ( other than a physical one ) on you during your travels?
  5. Its kinda true though... We are aliens. We can do crazy shit no Japanese person can do.
  6. It all depends on where you buy and own the car though doesnt it? I honestly cant believe what the average car costs in Oz... 57k in the US would get you a luxo...same in Japan...
  7. lol, got you on that one Richo...
  8. Im going to come out of a light hibernation and throw in what i believe to be a well educated opinion. There is no reason for anyone - not a single f**king soul - in the continent of Australia to complain about the R35, and the fact it is being delivered to Australia, in any way shape or form. You should all be feeling extremely fortunate its going there at all. This bullshit talk about spec and blah blah colour options blah blah bose sound system is too heavy blah blah is so whiney its not funny. Australia and all its "enthusiasts" have whinged long enough for Nissan to warrant the R35 to be released there and instead of cheering and aplauding your own bloody efforts, instead youre complaining about what you will and wont get! FFS, some of you make me physically and mentally distraught....
  9. LOL, that is a sacrifice I'm willing to make... Roses are more expensive than apples btw...
  10. mate, those arent really the types of "melons" id like to spend 20k on...
  11. Oh, yeah while im at it... All you expats should be going to COSTCO for fruit and veg...holy cow.. Picked up 1.5 kilos of proper green grapes ( not the ones you have to bloody peel - hate them ) and a kilo of black cherries for 2000 yen. Now thats value in anyones book.
  12. lol, that would make an excellent Valentines day gift if you think about it... Romantic...well, that depends. Memorable...farkin oath.
  13. Chainsaws are pretty effective in their own way, Lorry, lol...
  14. I didnt know they had internet access in detention centres.
  15. lol i know that. Its just got fully hektic tsu-tsu BOV's now.
  16. Sif they go and put two BOV's on it, lol. Totally hektic, bro.
  17. Not when you live in Japan and they're half the price they're not, lol. Lucky is living in Japan and having access to "Personal Imports".
  18. Thats what i thought it was a first glance. I wasnt expecting scepticism to be met with such vehemence, lol. Everyone knows i made up all those stories anyway.
  19. Sorry to come across as sceptical but the rental place ( which i can tell it is from the photos ) just let you loose in the R35 with an international license...? On another note, the car doesnt sound anything like a ferrari. There is afaik only one rental place in tokyo that lends the R35 and you have to be a platinum member and have held a Japanese license for a few years...
  20. f**k me! You guys are getting raped. Even super Autobacs here in Tokyo has them for $400!!! LOL @ Aussie rip offs. I decided to go for a Kakimoto R for the Sube and that was only $450! Great exhaust by the way - 95 dB, awesome burbleage.
  21. I always knew - the bB and the cube would be a hit in oz for one reason or another.
  22. There was an article recently, in the Metropolis, about these muppets. Theyre the scourge against all things multicultural in Japan. Apparantly, the whole purpose of these chimps is to f**k things up in the name of the emperor. Anyone who speaks against teh Emps has either been bashed, stabbed or even capped. One of the cities mayors spoke against the Emp and he wound up nearly fatally shot... f**king muppets.
  23. Yeah, your mum's.
  24. Dezz, right now you look like an absolute wanker.
