  1. That last bit makes no sense to me at all. If he fobbed you off or pushed you over because you were standing on his umbrella i think that sentence would be very different. Your the fan he treats like crap and somehow its..okay for you? On a different note, FW is also a monument to the sport - thats Sir Frank, to you, lol. He was one of the kindest people in the paddock and it was an honour to meet him. MS, NF, RB, DH, DC, MH, PH ...the list goes on - the point is so many have given back to those that support them. Ironically, very few do not and thats a good thing i suppose.
  2. Well put. Valid points all round. I tend to disagree on a couple of things though. Stewart is an obvious choice for someone giving back to the sport on a massive level but all those involved in the FIA drivers safety committee are doing a positive thing. KR is not a part of the committee. That speaks volumes. Im not trying to single him out but the fact that hes done nothing is obvious. My point was that a driver can do any number of things to give back to the sport apart from the obvious sponsors engagements. Things to do with the fans for example. KR is shocking at these types of things. The bottom line is, if it werent for us there would be no F1. People tend to forget this too quickly. The drivers are literally role models and people look up to them - look to them for all different types of things. KR, again, is hopeless and the videos and photos can attest to this. The very fact that LH is black is a positive thing to the sport and the very fact he has been the first ever black man to compete in the series has opened the minds and aspirations for the black community the world over. Yes, the very fact he is black is already intrinsically, giving something back. Yeah, Kimi is white... So what? We are used to seeing white people driving F1 cars. I can see this being taken totally the wrong direction in this thread but thats the risk i take with an example like this. If i were a driver i would not be pushing cameramen over, bowling over kids and walking away when the kid starts screaming, i wouldnt be getting lapdances from prostitutes in seedy clubs - i would in short see the position i have is one of great responsibility and treat it accordingly - something that KR for instance has missed entirely. I wont be sorry to see him leave the sport to be honest although he is an exceptionally quick and decisive driver. That simply isnt enough for me. The drivers have to be upstanding and live up to the responsibilities that comes with the power theyve been given. Who can honestly say KR has in any way shape of form accomplished this?
  3. Thats where youre dead wrong James.
  4. Gee great post Marco. Thats just about answered everything.
  5. Look right next to where the dude is standing next to the car. Can you see the profile of the bonnet is smeared/blurred? I think its a chop as well actually...
  6. Roy! Hold up. I dont find KR's missus attractive. I for one dont understand why others do - meh, no big deal, yeah? A Ms Scandinavia title means very little to me and seriously, shes not very attractive. To me. "haters" isnt a pet term of mine but many people have blindly hated on LH when hes good or bad and turn a "blind eye" to others when they f**k up big time. Its this kind of hypocrisy that brings me to the term. Let me be very clear...I dont hate KR or even dislike him but i have been pissed off with the way he has conducted himself in the past and continues to do so. Knocking over a kid because of an autograph. Bodyslamming a cameraman because he stepped on his freaking umbrella. Waving a stick around paro on a boat and then nearly breaking his neck. The monkey suit. ( well...yeah it was bloody funny though ). The stripclub, the lapdances. His public image is terrible when you really think about it and then to top it all off hes Mr monosyllabic. Hope the missus can deal with that one. Hes definitely not the type of guy that is a good ambassador for the sport. He never has been. To his credit, hes a WDC ( finally ) and he is a damn good racer and driver. But hes no gem. He seems to think hes better than the sport, like its not worthy of him- he can leave anyday... but Kimi old boy, the sport and the media made you who you are, given you what you have and they sure as hell can take it all away and youll be very distantly remembered. Noone can forget MS because despite his 7 titles and all his faults, he has put so much back into the sport - continues to be an active part of it and many can thus overlook his ruthlessness in view of this. What has Kimi goven back to the sport? When i saw him in Suzuka, he just came out the gates and then got in his big shiny merc and f**ked off.He didnt even say a peep to all those gathered to greet him. The bastard. Every other driver i met stopped and took the time out to talk, sign or for a pic op. FA was kind enough to stop for 30 seconds. I even got 10 minutes with MS, ffs! Thats what i call giving something back. When a poor kid has to get bowled over over an autograph..when a journo, doing his job, is thrown to the side. Hes an arrogant pig atm and yes, it does piss me off. What has Kimi done for the sport? That, Roy is the question id like you to answer.
  7. I think your hate for LH is actually love, Dezz. Youre the type of guy that means yes when he says no. Cmon now, out of the closet with you and admit it.
  8. Shes not that hot. Not at all...seriously. you guys are all blowing because youre the ones who want to be married to KR, lol. They also look completely mismatched, but its okay coz shes only a gold digger anyway by all accounts.
  9. Thats a weird shot - it looks like hes flattening teh reaper.
  10. How exactly did you arrive at this conclusion. He said it "complements us" and i can totally understand Ferrari feeling the need to bring in a 7 times world champion to give them some feedback on what he thinks is ailing them. Smart move and yeah, it sure does complement Mac that Ferrari are resorting to these measures. MS is Ferrari's pinch hitter.
  11. He was 6th behind Gonzo in 4th. Good outing for Renault. It would have been very different if KR hadnt somehow magically leapfrogged FA at the 2nd round of stops. And what a freaking leapfrog it was too!
  12. I have that video and its not spectacular like they claim it to be. Its too brief - definitely not comprehensive enough and doesnt cover enough of the different eras... Bit of a shame really.
  13. see above post...
  14. Its a while ago but i only just found this post - did your mate bring it in as a personal import or a race only special? Where did he get it from by the way?
  15. http://www.racing-underground.com You can thank me later...
  16. How do you know his tyres were or werent graining? Got a little birdie there i can borrow perhaps? Massa is hopeless in the rain. Agreed? Ofcourse. He is a good dry track racer and he seems to prefer medium length flowing courses. Hungary is one such track. He isnt the best on the grid but he does know how to dance...just dont do a rain dance. I will agree 4 seconds is very little and LH was plain unlucky to pick up a puncture - it ruined what couldve been a grandstand finish... I cant take anything away from Heikki although i will say he was nowhere to the 2 infront of him - a very lonely 3rd who was in the right place at the right time...I wish that would happen to Webber now and then... Kimi really pisses me off. The lumbering idiot trundled around looking like a guy who was taking the day off, la de farkin da, then all of a sudden, WHAM, hes got the fastest lap and reeling in Glock??!! Someone slap the Finn upside the head and tell him to stop smoking crack behind the wheel. One more thing - this was yet another example of Mr Invisible, Mark Webber, literally going backwards down the order and then miraculously, just vanishing. Ive never seen a driver quite like that. Hes either up there or hes nowhere to be seen! Amazing...I think i saw him twice that whole GP. For all you Hammo haters out there in Hater land, consider this. Despite the idiocy of the ITV wankers, Lewis made a pretty good start and Massa got a blinder - theres not much you can do to counter when someone gets a start like that. LH was reeling in FM around the time for the forst stop - actually the gap was down to 2.5 seconds and he then got baulked by one of the Hondas. LH had the pace - so did the Ferrari, and whos to say LH wasnt carrying 3 or 4 laps more fuel in the car - its entirely plausible considering Mac having to shuffle the strategy to compensate for LH losing the lead at turn 1 at the first pitstop. LH, without that puncture would either have won the race when massa blew up at the end or overtaken him at the stops. I doubt Massa would have won last night but man, that was a blow to the nuts the way his engine let go... Youd never have seen that happening to MS...
  17. lol, octopussy stream guy mustve just woken up.. he cut off the broadcast...
