  1. It will have to be remapped due to the poorer quality fuel. I dont think this counts as a "watering down" per say, but merely an unavoidance.
  2. Mines, If you want to, you can pay me 9 million yen to buy one here and i can keep it here in Tokyo and send it back as a personal import. That way you save around $40,000 on one in Oz and you have one a year earlier than almost everyone else. I promise i wont thrash it..... Too hard.
  3. Australia wont get the V-spec. You can count on that... unless some wily coyote gets it through Sevs, which i dont think will ever happen.
  4. I dont get it... In every post someone has referred to a "bogan". Is that not to say there arent wogs out there that do the same things - spark up in carparks, act like idiots etc etc? Im a wog myself and have witnessed a few things and also have been on the receiving end of mindless roadrage. I dont think its entirely limited to the "beanie and goatie" set, to be brually honest. I dont understand why Australians disrespect someone elses car - for whatever reason and im not looking forward all that much to the attention mine will receive, being the only one of its kind in South Oz because im 100% sure a lot of it will be unwanted and negative... i.e, Stolen, Keyed, Bashed, Torched, Spat on, Bottled, etc, et-bloody-cetera.
  5. Think about that statement for a minute... while reflecting on how much it costs to run an F1 car these days.... Feel stoopid yet>?
  6. Yeah, but that thing has had Sharon stone sitting in it... Ewww. I wouldnt be losing sleep either.
  7. It doesnt matter anyway. seriously, who wants to see tobacco sponsoring these things anyway? The only thing good about that sponsorship was that the cars looked cool. Nothing more. Good riddance i say. I always liked the fact that Williams was against it for a long time and still is - you see some pretty cool sponsors on his cars these days.
  8. That is the ugliest car on the grid... even uglier than the honda. God i wish those bloody fins werent introduced... its mangled the whole silhouette of the car. And i couldnt give a shit about the performance gains either...
  9. Thats really weird. Webber was only 3 tenths quicker on slicks than 3rd place raikkonen... Only 3 tenths??
  10. lol, raikkonen hits clipboard, clipboard ko's kid. Naaaaaahhhhh, he had nothing to do with it.
  11. Good luck with it - make sure you let us know how everything went down. Hey, at least you werent working for the bunny. Then we'd be really screwed.
  12. LOFL, thats twice in 2 weeks hes knocked someone over - this time its a kid. Id blow him into the weeds, just let me at him.
  13. Those guys on the bikes are .... f**king nuts to put it bluntly... Come on...too many pics of local rally legends going up here... Bloody Aussie battler pics whoring up the thread again...
  14. The other thing too... Why would anyone fake a harness...??? wtf? And corporation does not appear on their legit gear...
  15. Rippped off...not good. Hes right you know. Bit of trivia... Takata were the first in the world to introduce the 5 point harness to racing in 1965... Too many crew flying through windscreens and whatnot in that day...
  16. Why dont we just rename them LIEDARZ? Seriously.... Sif no one cracked that joke yet... This thread was begging for it.
  17. Sydney kid, nice double post, lol. Seriously though, a lot of the "servicing" thats needed is easily done outside the dealerships. Its a no brainer. What bugs me though, is getting your car serviced at the dealership part of the warranty? Because if it is...
  18. Ivan, you knew i was going to be in on this didnt ya?
  19. That Kimi is a low down dirtbag. Who the bloody hell does he think he is? Sif he didnt stop to give the woman an autograph, even when she was desperate for one. The fact the kid was hit wasnt the point. That bastard didnt even turn around and see if the kid was alright. Kimi shouldered the auto book out the way and the kid copped it in the face. Disgraceful.
  20. Youre site is difficult to navigate through... How do i get to the actual thread? *nevermind...thread tools was my friend, lol*
  21. Would anyone dare to surmise 160k worth of technological development went into the 427? I dont bloody well think so. Hmmmm... M5 - $170k...id pay that. GTR at $160 - theres a sheitload of tech in that beast... M3 - yep, same only cheaper.. AMG C63..? Seriously. 427? Not on your life buddy. I cant for the life of me understand why, putting aside the logically pointless reasons, anyone would spend that much on a car that was packing so little in the way of improvement, refinement and advancement??! ...go ..Holde...n..?
  22. Farkin ROFL! Awesome post, coakman. Im not being left out of this either. I will say again that the 427 is NOT good value for money. Thats it. It is NOT worth 160k. Australian car makers and the government due to lobbying, have shot themselves in the foot by closing the door on overseas models to protect the local lineup. Just take a look at the "grey import R35" thread to get an idea...( yes, i do read. ) Its as simple as that. Because of that, holden have had to place a ridiculous tag on the 427 to justify its conception. It will only work in Oz too, mind you. No one in their right minds will pay that sort of money for a car from Holden outside of Australia. Clarkson was being a dick when he "pulled his neck out" in the GTR. The bloody ride-on lawnmower appearing should have told you that much. In dramatic but plebish terms, he was only saying the GTR is neck breaking quick, lol. Damn, this thread refuses to burn out. Lets chuck a few more logs on it and stoke it up a little more...
  23. There you go. Get in with the principle and you can effectively cut out interac... Not so easy. Keep in mind, they know this and what i dont think Akeenan has mentioned is that they have a clause in your contract that prohibits you from being in contact with the school for a year and half i think if you can your contract, which pretty much baulks your chance to get the direct hire and protects their long term investment. However, they cannot legally enforce this as it falls outside labor standards law but if it hit the fan, the school will get spooked and say it isnt worth the hassle to fight for you. If you want to fight interac should it happen, then they wont win but neither will you unfortunately. I sued one of the biggest eikaiwa here 3 years ago and walked away with a packet. They thought if they pushed me id walk away...well, i belted them good and proper for it. I dont ever want to go through something like that again. It just isnt worth it.
  24. Rezz, Things arent as rosy as they used to be in the education industry here. Interac are dispatch for JH and HS here im sure you know and they have steadily been lowering their base wage to take advantage of the growing glut in the teachers market. I think at one point they were offering salaries as low as 180k part time and up to 250k full time. Wish that was in dollars. Admittedly, the working hours arent that bad and the kids can be a lot of fun, plus you wont be required to do that much, but youll have to weigh this up when you make the decision. Dispatch are taking a huge slice of the pie. If you have the qualifications you can go direct. Direct hire is the way to go if you can get it. Try the board of education in your local city. having said that the key is qualifications. Interac are at the most a springboard for experience - nothing more.
