Doc thats exactly what my paint has even including the spider webs, lol. Car looks great - and black is always a good indicator of paint condition. They say its the hardest to look after but it also shows off paint quality the best so its game on in that aspect... Are those spots from acid rain...??? Is that was causes those marks? I thought i could get it all out by hard hand polishing it but obviously not... Machine polishing...okay cool, i can arrange that. Anything else you can prescribe? I care about the car so i want it looking its best. What is "paint correction" exactly and how good do you think Meguiars are? LOl, looks like SAU has its own in house paint Doc now...

Hey Mario, i have a serious question about paint... My Subaru Sti Forester is WRC Blue and has these...how should i call them..tiny dried up water drop marks ( like fine rain has hit the paint and left a mark in the form of a droplet film ) on the paint after ive washed it with meguiars car wash treatment, dried it with microfibre and then waxed it with a $50 tin of carnuba wax...Properly until sweat is dripping off me... I thought that would have been enough but its like the top layer of the paint has a bubbly microscopic film on the surface...and i cant shake it. Its not visible from far away but when you get up close and put your face to the bonnet like any car lover does i can see them! Im not using a polisher by the way - all by hand. Its that, plus swirls i recognize from the photos you took. I know its easily ( maybe not ) curable but ill be buggered if i have any idea how... I dont even know whats causing it. After seeing that last shot of the R35 ( i know what they are like to drive, have a friend who has one here in Tokyo ) I thought the car came out great and it got me thinking... yes im here in Tokyo but is there anything i can do from here to cure this paint and bring it up to scratch without...overdoing it? Help me Doctor Mario!

Importing Scooters

Nah is kewl, NosaJ, i know Teh Baron is just busting my minerals... Still, constructive advice would be great. I just need to know thats all BB and i did say I was "throwing this one out there to see what comes back" Im not counting on anything from anyone... Least of all you Mr. R35! -

LOL, found this on the planet F1 website. "It was a rare sight to see the Ferrari consistently lapping five or sex seconds slower than the Mclaren, and on one lap he was a whole eight seconds slower than Robert Kubica. This wasn't a case of getting caught out in unforeseen rain, this was a miscalculation of grip and tyre wear by Ferrari." The writer obviously had a frieudian slip... "I" is on the other side of the keyboard. Must be a Kiwi.

Im just going to throw this one out there and see what those in the know think of it... A mate of mine and I were talking about the possibilities of importing the lowrider pimp scooters that may or may not be floating about in Oz at the moment. There are an absolute plethora of them in and around Tokyo and im looking into buying one for my own use. I know Australia has the Berghman and the Forza but im not sure about the other brands. If importing the bikes isnt possible we are thinking of customized parts importing. Anyone feel kind enough to lend some words of advice? Cheers.

Dont Have De-rego Papers

Is there anything i can do from Tokyo to help? -
Couldnt agree more. KR is lucky to get those points and yep, he needs every point he can get. RB on the podium was special. Its been interesting - Toyota, Honda and Redbull have all made the podium this year. Never saw that much diversity in 07.

I said after the first stop Marco and on the same tyre. And Ferrari did look like morons today : botched strategy calls, amateurish driving from one world champion and pathetic driving from the other hopeful... Hamilton didnt spin once and the ferraris span 10 times between them. Morons indeed.
-
ouch! Thats not very nice...
-
Dezz your ruining the conversation on what was the best race of the year and detracting from what was hamiltons finest race. let it go mate...
-
Teh Baron: "It's like you opened up my head and read my mind mate! I feel exactly the same way. fast driver, rubbish racer, total f**king wanker." Teh Dezz, "Pretty sure its not just your head he opened...but 99% of the posters in here... Adam = 1%" No, you werent agreeing with him were you, Dezz? Dude, theres no point trying to be argumentative here. Its clear to see whats going on here...and LOL @ "little credibility".
-
lol, strange comment coming from a guy who just watched Hammo win the GP and then say he "listened to the team" and "let them make the call" for whatever reason. I would have switched to extremes immediately and enjoyed a 30 second a lap advantage even if it was only for 10 laps. Brundle said it best when he said McLaren was making a stupid and unnecessary decision to keep Lewis out there on inters when extremes were the obvious choice. Wheres the argument here bud?
-
Im sure the world champion has the ability to think for himself, Dezz. He isnt a robot although he speaks like one. It was his mistake he didnt make the final call for a fresh set of inters - fail to him then isnt it>? Sure he may have LET the team make the final decision but thats never to say he didnt have the power to do it differently. Dont you understand this?
-
Lol @ "Back my statements Up" comment from Dezz.. What was that you were saying about hamilton being a shit racer..?? Care to back that up after this GP or are you going to list off a dozen bullshit excuses over why you still think he isnt?
-
Were not talking about BMW or the team making the decision because the driver isnt sure and whos to say it wasnt Heidfelds call? How do you know that? The driver, like i said, has the final say and Lewis said it best when he mentioned the team made the call to keep him on inters even though extremes were the better choice, obviously. Raikkonens mistake was letting the team keep him out there on faded inters hoping the rain would stop - if he had nailed them on the intercom and said "give me a new set" it would have been fine but it was his mistake he didnt say it and it didnt happen - because of the driver. The driver still has the power to call rank and say "Give me extremes and do it now dammit."

I remember they mentioned engine mapping in the telecast but you can hardly use that as an excuse. Ferrari were Force India today and thats just sad. The ironic thing is that Dominicali is NOT Ross Brawn and the result proved that in spades. That was the best race of the season by a long shot and there is so much to talk about... Webber threw away his best chance to score an easy 2nd or 3rd in 2008...and he should be spewing although not into his helmet this time.
