  9. Dude, ive been trying to get a beer outta this bastard for more than a year now. Dont get yer hopes up. At the risk of sounding rude and insensitive, i present to ye... Adam's top 10 conclusions from the Canadian GP... 1. Kubica is a title contender - if not this year then the next. He should be approached with caution...not because of his devastatingly good looks which are much akin to the Double Baron that haunts SAU boards the world over, but because he is genuinely quick, incisive and indeed decisive in traffic and can build and demolish leads like not many before him. 2. Oh, and lest we forget, he made teh Pikey, Nick H, cry into his Steiner for three hours that night after the press conference... Martin Brundle's quip about Nick being related to the guys fixing the track surface pre-race only compounded the issue... 3. Lewis Hamilton, at the risk of looking like I'm actually against him which many SAU members will think is impossible no matter what he does, committed a grievous, pathetic and ultimately unwarranted yet memorable pit lane screw up that far eclipses Robert Doornbos at Magny Cours last year when he took the fuel rig with him... Not even the Bagota Bruiser - in all his glory - has Hamstrings "strung" up in this area and that at the same track not even 4 years earlier. 4. Kimi Raikkonen is as much to blame for his "ON TRACK" excursion that ruined Adrian Sutil's race in Monaco as Lewis Hamilton was with his "OFF TRACK" excursion that ruined both his and Raikkonen's races - end of story. ( i know this is going to get a flame but meh, its only my top 10 and you wont always like it! ) 5. D.C may or may not have life in the old dog left yet...the Jury is still out on this one but the general consensus was that D.C ( not B.C - he's old but not that old! ) was in the place Mark Webber should rightfully have been. 6. Going on from point 5, Mark Webber does not possess the ability to "muscle" his way through traffic. He has copitulated faster and more often than a sinner infront of Christ and yet, to his credit, brings home the bacon through other means - which include other drivers misfortunes, brilliant strategy onbehalf of the team, spewing in your helmet, copping it up the ass from a brother, a RELIABLE car, a defunct nondescript teammate to belittle and the little thing I call a Webberism... Whats Webberism? Well, it has to do with a manly chin cleft and a lot of money. 'Nuf said. 7. Canada is an AWESOME track. Any track with shots that come televised with wheels scraping the exit on slow mo and a corner that's named the "WALL OF CHAMPIONS" goes straight into the hall of fame...plus the fact that many drivers, prior to the race, cried and bitched about the surface breaking up only cemented Montreal's place. Dear oh dear, where's mummy when you need her? Harden the F%$& up is what we all agree on. 8. Mosleygate is the furthest thing that should be from anybodies mind. Not that it changes what the sado-masochistic-asshole got away with but the fact that the racing, the teams and the drivers wont. Bring on the showdown to 2008... ( You know theres going to be a smashing finale dontcha>? ) 9. Nelshino Pique has to lift his game or hes out before the next 4 races. Seriously, this guy was saying he was better than Hamilton a few races ago and where is his ego now? He is not F1 material. Plain and simple. 10. Filipe Massa is a darkhorse in this race. At the rate with which KR, RK and LH are making progress its no wonder why the Brazilian puller out all the stops to make sure he made an impression from difficult circumstances. The reason why he feels this way ONLY when hes in the firing line remains a mystery but rest assure he is STILL in the firing line due to a certain Pole who may want his seat in the near future...
  10. Ah Tempura! I forgot about that - that stuff is amazing if battered and cooked right. Ive had some really amazing temps and it was worth every bite. While we are on the subject of food and it looks like everyones hungry, lol, post up some places where youve had teh grub peeps. Im in Tokes but im always up 4 a travel and get around a fair bit so post away not just for me but if you think about it... When it comes to travel advice for gastros this thread could be mighty useful, dontcha think>?
  11. mark, wtf dude? Are you touched or something?
  12. Its Db...not Bb.. Bb is the alcoholic running around here with the Homer Simpson avatar, lol./
  13. That monstrosity is a f**king complete rip off. How does Daicrapsu get away with it??
  14. Yer it was Rosberg. If we all agree Hamfists blunder was lineball penalty wise, then Rosberg copping a penalty is preposterous.
  15. Its a no contest for me. Natto is the most vile putrid food known to man. Not only does it make you dry retch when tasting it, it smells like pus and has the consistency of facehugger slime from aliens. Fav food would have to be all types of ramen - a no brainer - plus any type suki yaki and shabu shabu. I cant go past miso soup - to think that its made from the same stuff natto is made from... Two things that puzzle the hell out of me spring to mind. Firstly why do Izakaya insist on serving you a little bowl of slime as an entree when you arrive and have not asked for then charge you at the end and secondly the concept of "sweets" here is still very weird to me. Post em up peeps.
  16. In my short time of 2 months on the road, Its been very smooth. I havent had any problems so far and have found many ways to scythe through traffic. Ive found people here in Tokyo to be pretty observant for the most part although i will agree that it shits me that people dont stop at zebras - like they dont understand the meaning of PEDESTRIAN crossing. Ive nearly been hit a few times... The traffic jams can be excruciating especially when your pressed for time - and navigating without a navi takes practice although i have found my way in and around Tokyo pretty easy after a couple of tries navi-less. I had a situation last weekend where a dumbass pulled left to overtake a slower car and i had to hit the anchors pretty quick to avoid joining his bumper. The Brembos work very well i can tell you. There is ZERO road rage as far as i can tell and people just ignore you and stick to the rules...unless its late and the roads are empty. I have to say the Fonz is f**king thirsty!! It cost me 10000 yen to fill up and i only got 300 kays to the tank!...probably something to do with my right foot i imagine...
  17. lol, blow me richard - you wish you were my boyfriend! If we looked up Beer Baron wed find a pic of you and teh Koob gettin jiggy wid it.
  18. Dude, sif you go around making generalisations like that... 1000 yen says hes a Japanese.
  19. Thats alright./..hes got Rubes and DC to drown his sorrows with... I wonder how NH feels being BMW's new bitch on teh block? Shit, where the bazza when you need to start a shit fight?
  20. Yep, but dats the way teh cookie crumblez. Lucky Koobie! I bet Nick is Effin pissed right now... sif he wouldnt be being denied BMW's and HIS first because of what may transpire into team orders... I would have preferred for NH to get the win because we know it may have been his one and only chance... Conspiracy anyone? I like NH...he's mr Invisible until #SHAZZAM#, he appears on the podium like a regular little genie.
  21. Oh come on man, LOL! A small minority!? Only Hamilton fans that agree with me?? How did you come to that conclusion? Honestly, in the spirit of avoiding a flamefest lets drop this here, yeah? I dont mind if we dont agree on this - at the end of the day, Kubica took his maiden and BMW their first 1-2. I remember reading this guy called Dr Lawrence on Pitpass and he has always said BMW will never win a race. I bet he's eating his shorts right now, lol.
  22. This is the point where we can both say we agree to disagree and leave it at that, no? Im not going to say you are WRONG. I see it differently and im NOT the only one Dezz.
  23. I was supposed to type "mistake" Chill out Dezz - Its not the end of the world.
  24. yer, It was a move warranting a penalty but i cant believe how many people on here are defending KR and saying his move didnt!! Thats biased. I just want to also say that Massas move on HK and RB at the hairpin was stupidly wicked.
