Is there any end to Bernies greed??? 'No 2007 Formula 1 videogame' Tuesday 29th April 2008 For the first time since 1996, Formula One looks set to miss out on the videogame market about Sony and Bernie Ecclestone failed to agree a new deal. Sony has held the exclusive rights to produce F1 games since 2003 with the most recent edition of the game, which was based on the 2006 F1 season, coming out on the PS3 last year. The five-year license reportedly cost Sony $15m per year. However, it expired at the end of 2007 meaning a new contract was needed but that has, according to GamesRadar, failed to materialise. The website reports that Ecclestone is "playing hardball" over the fee, wanting more than what Sony are prepared to pay. And with no resolution on the cards as well no work having begun on a new edition of the game, it looks as is F1's gaming fans will be without a videogame this season.

The car has arrived and ive taken it for a bit of a run today. Drives really well, plenty of power and torque. The 6 speed is excellent - great throw, snicks into gear smoothly, heaps of space, interior is immaculate -smells like new...exterior also. Its minimalist functional inside the car - alacantra seats are awesome, very supportive and comfortable - no lumbar support is a bummer for me but then the passenger doesnt get tilt either, so... Its not high on luxury but then again i was only buying a 23k car. Im not overawed by the power or its delivery and the exhaust note could do with some more burble... I think with any Subie owner, the first upgrade is a big zorst. I found out today, this is an ex demo, 1 owner car. It looks well maintained and Im entirely satisfied. Ill post pics tomorrow. I was too busy driving today.

Hes on his way out and we all know it. Scrapping with Sato in the closing stages surely must have been humiliating for him and even Sato in the lowly SA kept him honest for a number of laps. He got properly trounced in Quali to the tune of 10 whopping grid slots, his race craft this year has been terrible... what more needs to be said? Its a shame because DC is one of the best drivers of my age and he's one of the old guard so you know, itll be sad to see him retire.
-
Ivan you got a point there. Yeah, i knew thats what the BMW press release said, but i dont 100% buy that. You are right when you say this could screw up championship contention for some people if it happens to the wrong person at the wrong time... That rule needs to be changed for sure.

M3gtr's top 10 conclusions from the Spanish GP 1) Raikkonen will more than likely be WDC this year. 2) Ferrari for WCC 3) Webber still has what it takes but the Red Bull doesnt 4) Coulthard is getting senile 5) Kubica is the ugliest man on the grid ( he should stop doing interviews... ) but thankfully he's one of the fastest 6) Kovalainen played poker with the reaper and won 7) Alonso wasnt fuelled as light as many thought - his Renault also wasnt built as well as many thought. 8) Heidfeld and BMW are dumbasses for not seeing that the pitlane was closed. 9) We have seen the last of Super Aguri 10) The Spanish GP was awesome.

HOLY SHIT!! live streaming is the feckin BOMB!

I know. It was sudden. I was dead set on the evo as you know and then Brian mentioned the ride he signed for, i goo netted it, crapped myself, and that was that! My decision evolved thanks in part to this thread. I found the Fonz within 15 minutes of searching goo and went hell for leather to get it in the driveway. It was a full million yen cheaper, was a rare, quick and desirable wagon, 4wd ( or is that AWD? ), has a 6 speed manual, brembo 4 pots on the front 2 on the back, is in great condition - 13000 kays, one owner with books, service history, no accidents, factory warranty, 2 years shaken...colour is great...what more could i have wanted? Itll also blow most cars away up in the hills and in the wet... 100 in under 5 seconds is blitzing it. It was perfect.

I was only foolin around. His is white anyways

James, im not sure. Lets say Gonzo is super light...as in 10 laps lighter than the rest of the field. He comes in on lap 11 and short fuels for the second stint, keeping the option tyre. 10~ 15 more banzai laps and he pits again - takes the prime with more fuel. Longer 3rd stint on the harder tyre, 20 + laps... hmm maybe its possible but hes going to have to strangle that Renault, and i mean throttle it good. Hes got the ability - lets see how he does. Mark my words, watch Gonzo closely.

Agree and agree. Michelin was THE tire to have in 05. Its a shame they were muscled out of the sport but i think they jumped before they were pushed,... Again..it was a case of the FIA, ferrari, Bridgestone bandwagon...how many times have we seen this??
-
There was no loss of form! Schumi had a chance for the title up until Japan when his engine blew - right to the wire kinda stuff. Renault only managed to win the constructors championship by 5 points. 05, yes, was a different story but obviously not what we came to expect from a multiple championship winning team with Schumi at the wheel... and not an entirely catastrophic season by any means.
-
No no, youve got me wrong. Im talking modern day, Schumi, Brawn, Todt, Stepney era... Think about how much Ferrari have kicked up a stink when their domination was taken off them. They have looked for anything and everything to thwart the success of their rivals and have aired their dirty laundry publicly on many occasions. They have acted like the spoilt kid throwing the toys out of the pram when they werent winning. It made me sick to see them crying to the FIA over Renaults mass dampers because, plainly, Renault were kicking ferraris ass with technology they developed and Ferrari werent happy. They kick and scream, dampers are banned and theyre back in the hunt again! see what the odd tantrum can get you? It got McLaren thrown out of the championship last year despite the fact both teams had protagonists involved.
-
Hes definitely running light but if the times are anything to go by, he will have to come in after around lap 8 to 10...thats pointless if you ask me and how could anyone think it would be conducive to a top 8 spot, let alone the podium is beyond me right now.. Im just going to have to wait and see. Im going to watch Gonzos progress this round very carefully. DC is getting to old for this stuff. Enjoy this season because i have no doubt he will retire at the end of the year.
-
Well, at that time the F.I.A as in the Ferrari Intervention Association kicked up a major stink on behalf of you know who because Renault were handing their asses to them. If Ferrari doesnt win then no one wins...simple as that. If you can remember the mass damper was cleared prior to the start of the 2005 season - cleared by the FIA. Ferrari wouldnt let it go because they were losing and lobbied the FIA to ban the damper based on a bullshit technicality. Funny that considering Ferraris use of flexing wings, barge boards or floors! Ferrari in my mind should not have won the 2007 championship because of what happened in melbourne.
-
what time is 1 pm for us then>? Is that 1pm spain time or 1pm in britain? btw, feck renaults mass damper. No one and i mean NO-ONE goes out and in the space of 2 weeks finds nearly 2 seconds. I dont care what they changed. There is no way on God's green earth that revised damper is worth 2 seconds. Thats absolutely preposterous even if hes running light.
-
Stephen youre going to have to qualify that comment cause it sounds like bullshit to me.
-
Its being delivered tomorrow. Surprisingly, the red tape wasnt too much of a hassle... I have to say, buying a car sight unseen was a bit sketchy. Ill post up some pics and a vid or 2 when the Fonz gets here.
-
To be fair to hotplates, hes probably thinking along the lines of the car not being a landcruiser or Pajero..not like i intend to take the Fonz thru mountainous terrain, lol.
-
I dont think its a pub stunt. Look at PK junior...right up there until the end of Q3 when he dropped the load. Hes got no home town issues to deal with like Gonzo does. Teh car has found an absolute shitload of pace and from where??? Fecked if i know. Renault have some smartiez in their fold and we know they know what theyre doin,... I just cannot fer teh life of me figure out where all this pace came from>>>> I dont care if some think im anti renault. Im not...but this..THIS is a shock. Gonzo was struglin to hold down 12th a race ago and now hes starting from the front row! WTF indeed!
-
Ive been thinking about this for half an hour now and i still dont get it... Either their RIDICULOUSLY light for the start or they found this time in spite of the fact it has taken teams years to bridge these gaps...years in comparison to Renault finding that time in 2 frickin weeks... I smell mass damper bullshit again!
-
Big fat loads of bollocks to you Ivan, lol! yeah i remember, hes worth 0.6 seconds to the team...so in reality, if we added up all the years hes been competing, he should be able to make any car go 4 seconds faster! Shit, even force India could win a race with him at the wheel!
