Pretty farking lame if you ask me...
-
Intellectual Property Pretty sure theyre linking the plate to the resgistered product

Only the gaijin. Talk about eat your heart out, lol.

I wouldve thought so too. The amount of money people ask for silly plates is interesting. For the record: "The current world record for a personal plate sale, held in the UK, is £330,000 for M 1, sold at auction in Goodwood on 7 June 2006 - News article. The buyer of the number plate is rumoured to have bought the plate for his six-year-old son. Some personal plates are listed on dealers' books for as much as £500,000 — a target that is expected to be reached before long, and should A 1 ever come up for sale, it is widely expected to sell for as much as £1 million. The world record for the most expensive license plate is USD 6.8 million (25,200,000 AED). The license plate "5" was bought at an auction in Abu Dhabi conducted by Emirates Auction on May 12 2007. Gulf news" Fark!

Well, for one the car will pay for itself and roll into the next one - the evo wagon. And who wouldnt want to retire as early as possible unless you fancy spending the next 50 years working... Besides, Id like to see how this goes...i think the couple of hundred it costs to keep the plates over the course of a year is nothing really so there is no loss, so to speak. And its not like there are going to be an avalanche of people buying R35's so.,.. At the very least itll make a good bar or bedroom ornament. Now, what is this "leveraging" you speak of?

Buying something low and selling for a profit... I dont see how thats dubious at all. You could say that about anything. So many people buying things they will never use, clothing, accessories, etc etc and selling them to people for a profit... If it makes you feel better, friends and family are going to use the plates. Maybe ill hold onto them until i can export my own GTR in the next couple of years under PI rules. Look what Single digit plates sell for, for example. Its big business. Morally speaking, i dont have a problem with it and im not looking to get "rich". As far as im concerned its an opportunity i couldnt pass up.
-
The guys on drugs - so needs to lay off the crack pipe aye?
-
Was there any need for you to come in here Richard and call me someone on par with a scalper? So i shouldnt buy the plates cause i dont have an R35? Dont make me laugh.
-
lol not as far as im aware - and even if it were the case id still prefer this crumpet to be giving the drivers interview and something else...
-
This is Charlie Webster, who they are touting to take over the old bag Goodman for the job next year in F1.. Thank God for that. Ill watch for one more reason if she gets the job Shes currently doing the rounds in GP2

Ahaha, well you are into the double digits of life are you not? Well into em, id wager. A Rokor? Holy cow...you still have it i imagine? Depending on the lens, they are stratospherically expensive last time i checked. They had a couple of Rokor lenses that would fund a year in many parts of the world in a shop i was checking out recently and that was in Yodobashi camera here in Akihabara! Go ya halves!

I think this is almost as amazing as SV's win "The last time we had rain at Monza was 1985 and it may be another 23 years till we have as much overtaking incident or as much history made in one weekend."
-
KR.... amazing when he wants to be yeah? Raikkonen's lap times were something to behold. Lap 45: Fastest Lap: 1:32.555 Lap 46: Fastest Lap: 1:31.691 Lap 48: Fastest Lap: 1:30.130 Lap 49: Fastest Lap: 1:29.844 Lap 50: Fastest Lap: 1:29.639 Lap 52: Fastest Lap: 1:29.144 Lap 53: Fastest Lap: 1:28.047 ...but he could only close up to P9 by the line.

Roy, if the car flattered LH then it is easy to say it flattered HK. It didnt and it should have. HK couldnt even make a dent in SV all race where as before his first stop, LH was right on the gearbox of SV. LH maximized the Mac, HK did not and it was written all over his face in the briefings. Thats a different story though. Cmon man, give LH at least a scrap of credit. Those were not the moves of a schoolkid mang. SV "white on rice" Fuji 2007 was a schoolboy move. Grew up fast did that lil weed.
-
I know what you mean by the passes... The move across on Webber was rude but...well...lets not go there. hes not endearing himself to any of you anyway is he? Try to look at the bigger picture if you can. It was a great recovery.

Out driving a WDC to 7th is pretty good when you start from 15th and your main rival in the other red car qualifies 6th and finishes 6th. Job done in a couple of ways. Im not going to rip into him for being bitter about the weather or lack of it, lol
-
Cmon admit it, dirty or not - lets face facts. He was 15th on the grid and made more places than anyone else only conceding 1 point to massa and we know what the points gap was last year. I think in many ways it was also a great drive from LH as well to get himself right up behind FM at the flag. Not bad at all. Good for us and good for the sport.
-
So he should because the only thing better than SV getting this win tonight would be to see JF or AS in the FA get up on the top step - that would be untoppable. As it is, itll be a long time before anyone breaks SV's record as the youngest to get a win. Fark, i didnt think there were any records left to break such was MS and Ferraris dominance, lol.

Dont forget it wasnt the machineries fault. Every driver has a weakness... For the sake of F1 i hope Mac takes it this year...the shit that RD has been through is appaling but look at him- hes standing up taking every hit on the chin and is still delivering. Great to that Merc is to the hilt with him. Regardless of the driver Mac and merc are a magic partnership and RD, NH and the team deserve another WDC.
-
I know, lol! Yeah it has to be said as much as i like him and his aggression and skill, he does find it hard to restrain himself on and off the circuit. I think we should cut him a tiny bit of slack slack...he is desperate for the championship - that much we know - and i know last years let down has made him even more determined. Its going to be a great final leg.
-
Fixed it for ya. Shades of the legend on the podium today. Great day for F1 in so many ways.
-
Im sure its worth scrapping for every point even with the points system we have now and it keeps things very close. I too for some reason would like to see a point awarded for pole and a point for fastest lap. Imagine that - KR would have 9 extra points if that were the case - reward the fastest guy out there, yeah i could go with that.
-
Its also amazing the bullshit from last week is going to pass finally, and in teh best way imaginable. This was the race of the year. Nothing will top it so get your captures boys and girls. Watch it again.
-
There was one other time i *COUGH* welled up*COUGH* and that was when MS came back to win the day after his mother died...in San Marino? And Ralf was third...sorry fourth. I still have a drawing i did years ago of the scene on the podium... Its times like this i understand why i am an F1 man. F1 is normal. And human.
-
Cmon man..its a pride thing. Just take a look at the way HK was on the podium like his mum died and then basically saying " get the f**k out of my face" in the drivers interviews... Ahahah, man was HK a miserable bastard... Its only pride.
