Hi everyone, I am listing my R33 GTR for sale as i cannot afford to keep three cars any longer due to a new business venture that i am embarking on. The GTR was my daily car which i drove over the past year faultlessly, however changes in work have pressured me to purchase a 4x4 vehicle. So in order to meet current work demands and financial constraints i will also be selling my other R34 GTT which i will be listing shortly on sau. Basic details and history; 1996 Model R33 GTR, 89,500kms, 5 Speed manual, Silver, Sydney. I purchased this vehicle just over a year ago through a prestige dealer who sourced the car in Japan. The car was inspected in Japan and upon arrival in Australia to ensure the car is mechanically in good condition. Notable Features: -17inch Rays LMGT4 Monoblock forged, Japan -Nismo S-tune suspension (which lowers the ride height slightly 20-25mm, yet retaining a comfortable drive) -Nismo front pipes, high flow cat and Fujitsubo catback exhaust -HKS EVC controller -Genuine Defi gauges and controller (boost and water temp) -Greddy intercooler hard piping kit -Upgraded Disc brakes and pads (Project mu) -Nismo rear bumper As shown in the attached pictures, the car comes with the original purchase manuals for all of these features as part of a complete booklet that i will provide to the new owner. I have also attached a receipt of a service i just completed at 89,000kms with quality motul engine oil and redline gearbox oil. I am negotiable on the asking price, as i am pressured to selling. Asking Price: $22,900 negotiable I am contactable any time on my mobile 0404 274 116. Thanks for viewing, Adrian

Which Turbos Should I Get For My Standard R33 Gtr?
adzR34 replied to R33GTRNZ's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I remember a while ago access auto works on this forum were selling rebuilt stock turbos for 1250 odd per pair. Might be a good budget option if someone wanted to keep standard injectors and afms. Not sure how responsive or what they would make as there isnt any info on them. -
I've been going to yavouz for years and i have never had a problem with his tunning or work. The quoted prices are all relative if you consider the quality of the tune and time spent to get there.

LOL!! skittles... -
Good work andrew! What are the plans for the car? A fun streeter or another crazy build?

Mate, great work on the build up, really enjoyed reading it all. How's the car drive now with the new tune?

Dyno Comparo - Various Twins Rb26
adzR34 replied to R31Nismoid's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Ash, great effort on the comparo this is exactly what makes this site useful. I'm looking for turbos at this stage and your turbos seem very appealing, theyre more responsive and overpower the 9s. Boost issues aside, the 9s seem to be behind these hybrids by some way. Do you know if race pace will be selling these offshelf? -
'nitto' R34 Gtr Wins Powercruise Dyno Comp
adzR34 replied to rad100's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Props for the effort, excellent result Not sure if this has been covered, but whats the power band like on this setup 6000-10000rpms? Cheers -
Mate, you have a boost leak somewhere along the intake side of the engine. Double check all intercooler piping and vac lines. This will scenario will happen if there is a boost leak.

for street i find the 3076 to be an awesome unit, great solid power delivery that keeps pulling up top.
-
Thanks lance, i gathered that would be the case. I'm looking at upgrading turbo's so i considered looking at doing the dumps aswell. Really curious as to why other manufacturers (locals) haven't had a go at putting together a decent bell dump.
-
I've been researching a fair bit regarding replacement dump pipes for my GTR. It seems as though the single bell units offer better performance gains making them a worthwhile upgrade than the dual channel variants. I have noticed that these enlarged single dumps that are say, a foot in length cost upwards of $860 for a pair.... I know they are stainless but that is a fair bit in comparison to some of the other split dumps that exist. So i guess what I'm asking is, are there any similar brands offering bell dumps for say $600?? Thanks

my friend, that is a 2jz.. Are we talking about strapping to an RB30 bottom here?
-
The only way your gtt will do a quick time will be if it has an auto behind it with a decent converter. We can all praise the VL's but these cars that are running 9's are built with monster autos and might i add a decent squirt of gas off the line. If both cars are manual, no question its on the GTR.

My thoughts exactly johno. Switching between the two maps; is it as simple as loading up from the laptop? I doubt it would have some sort of an external switch that would allow this, though it would be ideal! In regards to knock control, i couldn't see anywhere in the spec's whether the unit responds to knock by say reducing power or rev's? Cheers for the responses they have been helpful
-
Many thanks guys, this is exactly the type of information i was after. I should really get in contact with my tuner and Haltech direct. Johno, you mention the internal MAP is working well in your setup. I'd be looking at a similar power figure (is that with the N1's?), but basically what i take from their site is the onboard unit would be efficient to 22psi. I think that is more than adequate on a standard internal engine. Obviously pushing more you would need to revert to the optional MAP sensor. I think i also have read that the ECU supports two ignition/fuel maps, making it possible to switch between two tunes? Cheers Adrian

I think i may have found the answer to this from haltechs site "Supports R32 GT-R twin MAF sensors" and " Selectable onboard internal MAP sensor rated to 150kPa (up to 1.5 Bar or 22psi boost)" So i take it will support the twin afm's. Does anyone recommend the AFM approach over the MAP setup? Im generally looking at keeping the factory airbox thats why im keen on checking if its the preferred approach. Thanks
