No...put a rubber tipped flat edge at the back, lift gently andslide the whole thing backwards and lift a little and it should come straight out...no force needed

True Yes, some have a dual adaptor for the senders or some kind of sandwich plate. Dan, any good tuning place should be able to do this easy for you

Auto meter in the U.S do a remote fuel pressure guage and sender as you cant have fuel coming into the car It sends fuel to an under bonnet diaphram, then that sends pressure via anti freeze solution to the gauge, very accurate. Or the do electric senders and guage... not as accurate though
