  1. from what i've seen it's pretty much about the look of your car, and your driving record. friends with good driving records hardly get pulled up, but others with bad records are constantly being hassled. if you're driving at night you have alot more chance on getting pulled up. and if you're near any area that is known for hoons (eg, elwood beach area), you'll get pulled up regardless.
  2. that looks pretty cool. anyone know of any other inside engine cam vids?
  3. type x 180 i almost decided to sell the line and get one.. shame on me! haha
  4. every time i cop a fine or something needs to be fixed i get into 'f**kit, the cars going' mode. give it a week or 2, and it's love again. ahah
  5. good to see you're keeping the line. rb ftw!
  6. forgot to mention i lost my license previously, so maybe that's why. i got an official weighbridge paper in my glovebox. cops don't want to know about it! you also have to put into consideration that if your car even has exhaust and fmic, it'll probably be over p2w. and who drives a rock stock skyline these days? haha.
  7. easy to install, but hearsay tells me they're illegal. most light modifications are
  8. one of my closest friends owns a vs senator 215 stroked to 5.7L and hates life. as soon as my friend gets his full license he'll be changing to turbo cars.. he can't stand v8's anymore. i was a v8 boy back in the day. i put a deposit on a VQ statesman 5.0L... but cancelled within 3 days and got my liner. i'll never turn back! pros: nice for long cruises on the freeway boys like v8's cons: my friend spends $20 a day getting to work and back.. changing gears under 2k rpm people say R33's are like boats? wait till you drive a holden.. interior has only minor upgrades from the vn/vp not as customizable as a skyline engine isn't cooling efficient, rev her out and expect problems more money spent, less HP/kW gained girls like turbos at the end of the day, get what you want!
  9. driftline racing have a few. ph 0425855540
  10. the r33 gtr pump, as it would be newer and in better condition. if you want a new gtr pump, get the nismo pump.
  11. only thing this product would be good for is a nice spool sound, if that
  12. here's an example of my crappy diy for the time being. need a nice 3" pvc pipe but got this one for free, so cant complain.
  13. i've been asked this question by mates a couple times... to the technical side the only thing that makes me feel like i've been cut short is that i don't own the original pedigree of nissan. people that own the r32 gtr own a part of nissan's history. apart from that the way i see it is that i own a sports car used for drifting motorsport which i love, rather than a race car used for racing motorsport which i'm not so interested in. i also have the benefit of cheaper parts and wrecker availability! my2c
  14. thanks bud. i'll keep it in mind. let's see how long it lasts thanks everyone for your help
  15. thanks for the input cubes. how would a 25 gearbox hold up against the clutch?
  16. i spoke to a high cop on the phone for a good hour after copping a p2w fine. even though my car was technically under p2w he said the place which calculates as you said is called DOTARS. i'd be guessing they would record the specs as different to factory specs. as for tezflow, sorry to say but i copped 12 months suspended license after breaking my 1 year 1 point option. this wasn't a court matter, it was automatic. if you were to take it to court, and show some sort of proof that you needed your car for work then maybe you would be let off like i was the 1st time.
  17. mine sucked up crap 3 weeks ago. started making sucking/straining sounds. it's at bosch right now, waiting for it to get back to my mechanics. fk they take their time! do you have any ideas to stop this?
  18. didn't you get warranty with these pumps?
  19. if you have the cover on, hot air will get trapped in there. whereas if you have mesh or no cover, air can circulate.
  20. jesus would like you to get a new skyline. he told me.
  21. haha. nah my car is pretty much internally and bolt-on standard. i will be reaching the 200rwkw stage soon but i've been told that my stock gearbox should be able to handle this. i'm just still curious what could be fkd in the gearbox to cause these probs. especially the gear stick rattling. it's doing my head in! anyone else have any ideas? i'm sure there's some drive train minded sau'ers!
  22. thanks buddy, i'll keep that in mind if my gbox fries itself anyone else have opinions/info/blah?
  23. hey guys, i've read up on older threads, but would like a pinpointed answer if possible. i own an r32 gts-t, and just recently installed an exedy heavy duty cushioned button clutch. everything else is standard. i went for a hard drive the other day and stopped as i noticed a couple things: the gear stick has started to rattle for starters. if i've stopped, engage clutch, and put it into 1st i get a slight "gunk" sound. if i then try doing it again it won't make the sound until i move forward and repeat the same step. i also noticed when slowing down to a stop, if i clutch in, hold the clutch, and put it into 1st i gear i hear a high pitched wheel sound. obviously this is gearbox related, but i'd like to know what exactly could be fried and is it worth to rebuild or just replace?
  24. very nice
