  1. welcome to the world of skylines and enjoy your stay.
  2. stays perfectly in position and doesn't move. it comes with velcro, but i havn't needed to attach any.
  3. hey mate you have PM.
  4. my mechanic said that my dump pipe will have to be slightly modified to fit. the water and oil lines will also fit with a little modification. did you have one on your RB20? how did it go?
  5. cheers guys if anyone wants extra/different pics just give me a yell. oh shit man.. i totally forgot! dw i'll be getting that pink tutu and the wig for those pics you requested asap.
  6. it's a boost guage. not sure of the size but it fits in nice and snug without any brackets or modifying. yup it's a drift handbrake. brought it for $15.
  7. i know this may have been covered before but i thought i'd post up.. i went into repco and asked if they sold a dash mat/cover for R32 skylines. after a couple minutes of searching, they sure do! Moulded Car Carpets of western australia make the "Aussie Mate" dash mat range for most common cars which you see on the racks, but they also make a range for cars that they don't produce for often. they have to be ordered so i couldn't see the final product.. but for only $51 i thought i'd bite the bullet and see how it turns out. i'm actually really happy with the design. it only took 2 days to get to my local repco store from the day i made the order. they are moulded to shape and made of good quality. they look like they will last. here's some pics: what do you guys think? some people say dash mats look too 80's, but i think it looks nice. for anyone interested the product code is AMNI191BL.
  8. love the front end conversion jaqule, looks p0rn!
  9. you have pm. can you explain your theory more deeply? i was told that it should fit on sweet, and that all i needed was a VLT dump pipe because the exhaust flanges are slightly different. can you please PM me what you're after for it. cheers!
  10. for a general base: full exhaust, fuel pump, boost controller, injectors, turbo and tune. the list goes on. it all depends where you want your car at, and what you're willing to spend.
  11. i have a gates racing timing belt myself and have this whirring/whining sound. it's not loud like some have described, but if you're outside the car near the engine you can hear it a little bit. 3 mechanics told me that gates timing belts are noisy naturally but as the belt stretches the sound will go away. doesn't seem like a problem to me!
  12. what i said was if you didn't have the airbag issue. a while back someone mentioned that they had their FMIC on their skyline engineered (no airbag), and the only modification was to ensure no rust would form by using thick rubber.
  13. anyone? i'm sure someone has a VLT T3 lying around somewhere..
  14. sorry to hear buddy.. hope she comes back in 1 peice
  15. SR20 with the usual mods pulls like a train, but as mentioned the power delivery is different to an RB.
  16. apart from the airbag issue, i'm pretty sure that if you made a clean cut with a holesaw under the battery tray you should only need some sort of covering for the newly exposed metal to stop rust.
  17. block the bov hose and leave the breather atmo. if you block the breather you will end up with ventilation problems.
  18. you can tighten your stock bov by putting it under a vice grip and "crushing" the top of the bov a couple of millimeter. i would only advise this if you're doing it for bov leaking purposes. using a blanking plate is the same as tightening a bov enough for no air to pass through. stainless intake pipe will increase the sound of your "dose" because of the resonating sound traveling through. the standard rubber snorkel deadens it. have a read of THIS. he's apparently the master of "dosing". your new best friend. hope that helps!
  19. i see that the admins are just trying to make a safer place for us to trade through, but i do agree with the majority of the people and it sure is a pain in the butt! i think it would be better for donating and club members to be able to edit posts in all the non-forsale sections at the least. it would make everything alot easier and cleaner, wouldn't it? look at the users feedback also. after all, we are what keeps this site going!
  20. 1. it's not designed to run in the cooler piping 2. wierd readings 2. the reading pin inside the air flow meter is a delicate object which you wouldn't want to damage at high boost levels.
  21. i totally agree with bry. unless you're going to spend loads of cash on the motor which would be worth the engine swap, i'd stay with the RB20. tuff little 2.0L they are.
  22. oh, and where are you going to mount your afm? on the cooler piping? wouldn't advise it...
  23. trust me bud, women dont like it. i know you're doing it for the ladiez and think they get nipple fats when they hear it, but really they think you have a small dingaling. but anyways back to the topic, the 2 pipes connected to the intake snorkel is your blow off valve return line and a crankcase breather (or blowby). i wouldnt go blocking off the breather but if you're not going to run a bov then you can block off the bov return line. OR. save yourself the headaches and potential turbo/engine damage and get a stainless steel intake pipe. you'll have mad flUttErZzZzz.
  24. no scrubbing, but the only problem would be lowering it. the previous owner of the rims had them on his R32 on lowered king springs, and that used to scrub on medium-big bumps.
