  1. id be playing with your boost control man, my cheapy kkr430 /dsr430 makes 14psi @ 3500rpm , actuator setup to open @ 9psi, gain @ 50%, alot of preload on the internal wastegate.
  2. without reading the above; castor arms are a must or at least urethane caster arm bushes. you dont want steering toe moving all over the place under brakes locked subframe locked hicas good alignment maybe some toe out on front good tires good brake pads. good brake fluid gtr will already have decent sized sway bars good monotube large piston coilovers. ditch as much weight as your willing .
  3. ive done the same turbo on another dynapack that time by st hitec in auckland with a engine thatd done 230k's, did 242rwkw, power fc, larger injectors. this tune was done by glenn suckling who has the 1600hp gtr running 7's.. even if it is abit 'happy' it gives an indication of what they can do. they are cars in the 260kw range with these turbos. an 2 degrees timing was the difference between 233rwkw and 256rwkw. a/f's are hovering around 12 . moral of story; kkr430 / dsr430 turbos while not the best with their shitty internal wastegates that you need to load alot of preload on and the fact the interal barely opens, are decent turbos on 25's and you can get away with standard injectors with a fuel reg.
  4. i run a 'bcu' in my current r33 and have previously used one for quite some too and its works a treat. adjustable gain on lo/hi boost + wastegate start open psi. .. 280$ nz i paid, does the job.

  8. yeah i realise theyre shit turbos but i got it cheap. ill get the internal as tight as possible and with electronic boost control can only do me best to avoid lag / boost threshold, otherwise no worries just to drive around it.
  9. sorry, was 208, just checked dyno sheet. 50 psi base pressure, + 15psi boost = 65psi .. should give it abit more fuel..? in saying that, i should be able to work out where im at with the below. theres also an article done by autospeed regarding flow rates vs pressure, basically showing that pressure increases = quite small increases in flow.. so what are stock injectors good roughly? i need to find a maximum safe setting for base pressure. http://autospeed.co.nz/cms/title_Boosting-...86/article.html stole this from another forum:

  11. doubt that. last rb25det made 218rwkw on a dyna pack stock pressure with inline 500hp pump. stock turbo.

  13. Ok thanks Im looking at running some 240/625/17 sized full slicks all around, I assume these will fit over a 8inch rim.. Are the sidewalls in race tires very stiff e.g., no need to stretch em onto a tire to remove any lateral movement?
  14. i currently have 8 inch rims on the front, and 9 on the back.. the car is now 270rwkw , stripped heavily, running isc coil overs, 2 adjustable sway bars, adjustable castor arms, removed hicas, locked subframe full roll cage, 1 seat.. it handles very well however have just upgraded turbo and looking to buy a new seat of slicks so what rim width and tire size would you recommend. i want to stick to the 17inch sized rims. will there be much benefit running 9fronts and 10rears over the current 8fronts and 9 rears. can anyone suggest their preferred brand of full slicks.

  16. Thanks for the replies guys. To make it abit clear Im running ISC N1 coil over suspension, 17x9.5 inch rear tyres, 17x8 front tyres. Will be running both slicks and semi slicks. Its a GTS25t R33 rb25det, full roll cage, around 300hp. Car is stripped interior. Has caster arms, locked hicas, locked subframe, lsd.
  17. what rates suggest for a r33 , whiteline front rear sway bars, 350hp, locked subframe, caster arms and 52mm piston monotube coil over.s have been suggest 12/8 but thinking this abit firm?
  18. Yep theyre around the right way. Itll try fire but very weakly, e.g. one fire every second. Is the ecu light ment to turn off when cranking & if my Crank Angle Sensor was stuffed would the ecu show a code? Cant think of anything else? The only earths on the loom are the two next to the ignitor pack and one earth from the battery to the intake manifold. Have tried putting some jumper leads on the exhast manifold to the chassis too. Alternator is still not hooked up but battery is solid so should still fire? Any ideas?
  19. Hi guys Just quickly S13 Shell RB20DET Hard wired fuel pump, connected the three main powers for the ecu etc.. Engine is getting spark, injectors are spraying, but it wont start. Have wired pin 43 into the ecu from the ignition barrel so gets power when starting for cold starts. CAS is plugged in No Vacuum leaks. Ecu showing no codes (code 55) Any ideas.

  25. I dont have the actually map on my PC, however know its running 18degrees advance at 13psi. The tuner believed could have gone as high as 21-22 degrees with decent gas. AFR's at a perfect 12.0 straight through at WOT I just picked up a cheap crackworthy chinese exhaust dumppipe, hopefully thatll help a tad. - no worries if it cracks, ive got a tig.
