I have one in Tank feeding a surge tank. From there two bosch 044 go to a twin entry greddy fuel rail. 1000cc injectors and a sard fule pressure reg. One VERY important thing to make sure you get right is the return line.

Ok i will just say this. If i had a Two totally stock GTR's (same model and all things being equal ie same condition, km's ect) and i gave one stock GTR + $30k to Eric/hypertec and the other stock GTR + $30k to Ben/Racepace and i gave the exact same directions to both workshops (how they go about preping the car is up to them), I know who would produce the best results without any question.

Has anyone actually seen hypertech work? There is absolutly no doubt as to the quality and finish of every racepace product/service. Ben is the man.

The only thing at beppu are a hell of a lot of hot mineral spring & mud baths. Went there last year and had about 3 'mineral experiences' the day i went there. Pity it was in August and farken hot anyway Didnt see alot of drifting i have to admit. Best chance like Rezz said it to take the train down to Fu-ku-oka and check out the scene there. Also Prime Garage is in the area and they turn out some pretty impressive cars. HKS Kyushu may also be a place to stop and talk to Dragon-san

Hey Guys, Was a great cruise. Sorry I had to turn back at yarra glen. The '9 sec echo' was so floaty around the twisties it wasnt funny. I just put new shocks in it, and found the old shocks (that were farked) to be much better oh well hope the GTR will be ready sometime this year. I calculated Ive only driven it for about 12minutes before it broke. Was a real :kick: Farken GTR's

While I agree with what you are saying, I believe the reason for holding the cars comes down to parts. That is, parts that Genesis have bought on credit from a supplier, who they havnt paid and put on the car. If i was a turbo manufacturer and they had one of my turbos on a car that wasnt paid for, i would want it back ASAP! It takes time to sort all of that shizzle out. my .001c

no not missing anything, its just nengun, greenline etc skip all the middle men and have lower overheads compared to someone likle just jap, hi-octane etc. In turn they can sell it cheaper

How top end? What is the price/quaity difference over JE? Where are they manufactured? do they have an aust. distributor? Cheers

In one of the HPI Vids they have a visit to the tomei factory where they show the pistons / cams being manufactured. I think JUN make their own as well Either way, I would use JE Pistons and Carillo Rods (HKS is the same) if you are doing a big HP Build. Having said that, I think mario is using JUN parts? But probably special order (read: hell expensive) stuff.

From what i am led to believe HKS use JE Pistons and Carillo Rods anyway. I Stand to be corrected though.

Dont have the car too low (100mm is the legal height) Dont have a BOV noise (ie venting to atmosphere) Dont have a shiny engine bay (Piping, cam covers ect, Paint everything Black) Dont have different coloured hoses, use black ones. Make sure you have something covering the pod(s) Paint your cooler black Dont have a loud exhaust Dont drive like a farkwit. Dont have gauges on the a-pillar or obstructing your vision. Make sure you dont have tyres/wheel sizes more than one inch bigger than what is stated on your tyre placard. Basically dont give them a reason to 'think' your car is modified. Of course that all goes out the window if you have a dirty great big lump of metal hanging off one side forgot to add, make sure you have some form of padding on the steering wheel. I even think some guy now driving a red russian 4wd even strapped a pillow (or something similar) to the steering wheel to pass an inspection. And a H Pattern on your gear knob. Got to know where the gears are apparently

Yeah, like 2 turbos, 2 AFM's, 2 exhaust mainfolds, 2 dump pipes. Who needs all that crap when its so much easier to fit one of everything

When i was in Japan last year a very well known HKS person said they are the most useless piece of gear ever produced by HKS. They do nothing except make your engine bay look different. "Sure I can sell it too you, but it wont do shit" - All in Japanese of course and all through a translator but we all still laughed

Well after having work done by ben over the weekend, i can personally say his work is AWSOME! His attitude, work ethic and quality was outstanding. I wouldnt hesitate to use him again (Actually i will be using him again soon to put in a head unit) and I highly recommend him. Thanks Ash for putting me onto him.
