  1. Yeah, but at least heathcote's return road doesnt resemble a fire track somewhere in the bush. Its farken rediculous. Pot holes EVERYWHERE, dirt & gravel, those annoying corrigated bumps. FARK!!!! UPGRADE THE PLACE ALREADY. /rant
  2. if you dont mind me asking, who has done all the work, and what gear box is it running? sounds very impressive though. Nice work and i look forward to seeing it at Auto Salon.
  3. Er yes...the echo..hanging out at a local servo near you Probably...really really big turbs
  4. This is the best method, and the one i use. It does take a little getting used to co-ordinating the right actions. Just dialing up and dumping places too much shock on ALL the driveline components. Basically the handbrake method loads up the drivetrain and puts less stress on the components. Sure it is at the expense of clutch wear, but i would rather put new plates on my clutch than replace a gear in my dog box, or a drive shaft. Basically there will always be some wear and tear with ANY method of drag racing. Its just up to you which part you want to replace sooner.
  5. I will be looking into the pfitzner box soon Judd, so please let me know how you go. Ross
  6. I run a single and a Motec M800 on my 32. The idle, drivability, Throttle response etc will only ever be as good as your Tuner and support systems. If you do go a M600 or M800, spend the extra money on someone who knows how to tune them. Even If that means flying someone over. I am really happy with my result. However nige & karlos spent a long time getting it perfect. Personally i hate those pesky AFM's :
  7. the only place i know of is in Adelaide. I think its an off shoot of Adelaide Engine Developments? Stand to be corrected though. http://www.hotengines.com.au/
  8. funny you should ask Im going through the same thing. PM Ash (R31Nismoid), as he knows a guy. Cheers
  9. Providing the car is under 90db, you can have any exhaust, as long as it has a cat. Please keep in mind that if you put in a silencer at the end, it will be recorded that you run a silencer and you must keep it on at all times from then on. Do what most people do, swap it for a stocker. A lot easier.
  10. From your post i assume you need a GTR replacement, not GTS-4? anyhoo OS Gear Set $5k+ (new, you MAY find a used one cheaper) Trust 6 speed $8k+ HKS 6 Speed $10k+ (not that many around, more Trust Boxes around) Pfitzner Gear Set
  11. you want a cheap reliable car, go buy an echo
  12. Honestly officer it came from Japan like that
  13. I agree, benno is the man. But, Im gunna go out on a limb here, (and also not knowing your turbo setup) unless your after huge HP or RPM, then properly prepped standard GTR rods are fine. I do however recommend forged pistons (i think ben uses sps by memory). Also depends on your budget and what the man has to say Rosco

    oopsy!

FOR SALE: One Used 360 Modena, slight panel & Interior damage, low kms
  15. Dont get me wrong, you can Definetly tell there are no syncros. You have to rev it a little to get it into 1st (otherwise you end up with a crunch) Gear changes require a reasonalbly firm hand You also have to rev match when down shifting, so as not to crunch. You have to hold it in gear when reversing (otherwise it pops out) But you just cant beat the whine of a dog box and the lightning quick gear changes.....did i mention the sound farken awsome!!! I am using an OS triple at the moment
  16. I have a Trust 6 spd in perfect condition for sale for $8k Personally i wouldnt buy a standard R34 GTR 6 spd. Ask snowman why
  17. a true "bolt on" turbo should bolt up to everything, including the standard cooler piping. If it doesnt, then it should be supplied (or able to be supplied) as a kit.
  18. It depends on what type/model of turbo you have. I believe the trust turbos dont have water cooling, so that may need to be blocked off. Stand to be corrected though. HKS /Garrett have both Oil and Water lines.
  19. Some one must have a cover, with all those exposed gears out there
  20. There are also plenty of Australian Workshops that can cater to your requirements. The best in Victoria is without doubt race pace. Ben is quite handy at building monster (or mild) engines. Specialises in RB engines, and has a 3ltr RB in his 33GTR. http://www.racepacemotorsport.com/
  21. you have PM stacey
  22. there is no doubt that the rear wing needs to be removed and a nismo lip fitted. Definetly larger aftermarket wheels, (18inch BBS LM wheels look AWSOME!!) There are a few 450+ rwkw GTR's going around melb with standard 33 GTR BOV's. They work fine, no leakage (and they are STANDARD EQUIPMENT which helps get around defect issues)
  23. Hey Everyone, I need the cam Gear cover for the RB26. Good condition, no scratches or dents. (I understand paint will be propbably missing) Melbourne only. Cheers Rosco
  24. Yes you can, but before you start recording, you must inform the officer that you are going to record the conversation. Not sure if he/she must identify themselves for the tape though.
