  3. Nigel (Ice Performance) plugged in his module from his supra and it seemed to work fine. Although im not sure if it held the programmed boost. will have to ask. Thanks anyway
  4. Ok my 32 landed last week, and i even spent the extra money to get it shipped in a Container. however i know those theiving CUSTOMS bastards took my HKS Boost Controller unit so i need another one. I am looking only for the Cabin module, as they nicely left the sender unit in the engine bay. Can anyone help? BTW I know it was customs because i personally know and have met the guy in japan who packed and sealed the container in Japan, and only Customs could break the seal and open the container for inspection in Aust. Cheers Ross

    Racepace...

PLEAESE PLEASE PLEASE only use the two tuners that been have recommended. ICE OR Racepace. There is NO ONE ELSE i would use........AT ALL!!! I cannot make it any clearer. What ever ben quotes you; is for you, not anyone else. Although prices dont tend to fluctuate. ICE may be a little cheaper, you would have to ask them either way, call them rather than e-mail

    Racepace...

ben has a 2wd dyno. all he does is drop the front drive shafts out....and GTR in 2wd. Racepace doesnt encounter problems. Ben will give his honest opinion when it come to your car, whether you take it or not depends on how deep your pockets are. Yes there are cheaper people out there, but why risk it. Another workshop that is recommended is ICE Performance, Gerald and Nigel are pretty cool blokes 9512-7591
  10. Emre has stock internals, so he hasnt realised the full potential of his turbo set up. i believe around 330rwkw is his current set up.
  11. you already have an upgraded turbo. Power FC would be my choice
  12. $1400 + shipping + tax/duty It would surely be nearly cheaper to go a full drysump set up. From what i have been told this is the ultimate oil circulation system as you can have a greater oil capacity (which leads to lower oil temp or the ability to scrub more heat off the oil) greater oil controll and pressure, the ability to have multiple oil pick ups from the sump (ie front, middle and rear pick ups) Just a thought Opinions?
  13. driving an import is illegal
  14. GT-SS, T51z (8cm), or what about those AVO 320hp Garrets?
  15. a To4z MAY be a little large, however you want a turbo that makes the power easily. Although admittadly you dont want too much lag. You also dont want to find that; well yes i initally wanted 500 BHP, but now that i have it, a little more wouldnt go astray. To4z or To4s are also options.
  16. also reduces stress on engine mounts
  17. personally, i would put a RB26DETT in it, and then bolt on the accessories. If it is true relaibility, a RB26 will last longer with bigger HP than an rb25. That being said, if you want to keep the 25, then To4z, T78-29D etc should keep you within the required power level. Power FC, injectors, cam gears, cams, clutch, exhaust, fuel pump, intercooler....etc
  18. There has been a rumoured sighting of el presidente' It has been reported on good authority, he was seen cruising the trendy night spots of south yarra and toorak rd in the lada late last week. With the top down so he can impress the chicks as well!!!
  19. I beat you all. I bought my car august LAST year. Applied for my import approval on the 1st of January (like eleventy billion other people). Didnt recieve it untill Mid May, and now im told my car will arrive on the dock around the 4th of August, so i may get it on the road around september!!!!!!!!!! You think your pissed!! Get in line
  20. By complying with all ADR's and emmissions laws, and having the correct test performed, you CAN have the Motec passed. That is exactly what a engineer does. they test the car to ensure that it complies with all aspects of road and emmissions law and then issues a certificate stating that fact. otherwise why the fu(k would you bother paying $XXX for an engineer. I would be calling an Vic Roads authorised engineer and getting an unbiased opinion. not some epa peanut.
  21. in a GTR the motec still needs the stock ECU to run the attessa system. So as long as your motec is away from the stock ECU and hidden somewhere...say under the passenger seat, then you shouldnt have a problem. I have also spoken to a motec installer and he said the Motec is the only aftermarket ECU that can be tuned and passed under EPA and ADR's. i dont see the problem with having an aftermarket ECU providing the Emmissions can be read and that your car passes the emmissions test.
  22. Dude, the only way you are going to find out is to call them Gerald or Nigel are both champions 9512-7591
  23. BD4's, as far as i am aware, have the only english version of the HKS Fcon V Pro software in australia. There was another guy on the forum that had some jap guys come over with the jap version and tune some cars here, but i think they have left. Short of doing the same, or going to japan yourself, BD4's in sydney are your only option....that or buy a MoTeC.
  24. Ditto! I am an accountant, but i wouldn't trust me as far as i could throw me. I cant believe people pay me for it But seriously dude, before you do anything ask how much it is going to cost or what their charge out rate it. Because some of these 'accountants' charge very heavily for the simple service they provide. As an accountant i am sometimes horrified at the fees other accountants charge. If you walk in, and you see expensive offices, silk ties and hugo boss suits, do a u-turn, cos you already know where your fees are going
  25. you would really be pushing it for twin lowmounts to make 400rwkw. You want turbo(s) that will still be within peak efficiency to make the desired power output, not ones that have to struggle to achieve it. So if you still want low mounts maybe twin GT-RS turbos. personally i would do a HKS T04Z or T04R cutback, or a T-78 29D. again i must stress that its not just turbos that make power. All the ancilliary equipment needs to be there.
