Drag and street dont go well together. Usually whats awsome on the street is dissapointing on the strip. Not to mention we all live in the land of defects now. My advise would be to build a streetable car, that looks stock, but blows away 97% of the competition. The recipe is a very well trodden and proven one. *HKS 2530's with HKS actuators *HKS Split dump pipes *Full 3inch (minimum) exhaust. dB requirements are different from state to state, but around 90dB is the limit, so a couple of mufflers or a silencer is advisable. *Apexi Power Fc *Boost controller (HKS, Blits Apexi etc) *minimum 660cc injectors *larger Bosch in-tank fuel pump *Cam Gears (Os Giken, Tomei, JUN) *Minimum twin plate clutch *Either Twin Pod set-up or higher flow air filter. But I would recommend still using standar air box. *Nismo or Z32 Air Flow Metres *upgraded brake pads You dont really need another intercooler. Standard GTR will flow ok. Dont really need cams either, but HKS step 1 are a direct bolt in option, so they are pretty good. Thats what is a great street car, and with tuning and installation 15-20k is around the right figure (if you are buying brand new components) This will net you around 320rwkw. Any more and it internal time, bigger everything (turbo, injectors, clutch, gearbox etc) add another 20-30k (including labour, tuning etc)

Help Selecting Single Turbo For RB26DET(T)
PurpleR32 replied to nocab72's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
HKS T04r cut back, or the new HKS T04z. Both support around 600hp, although the T04z is newer and is supposed to spool up quicker due to the holes drilled in the compressor cover. Trust T-78 either 33, or 34D. thats for high mount single. However, it would be very hard to achieve (on an un-stroked RB26) 600hp and have full boost hit by 4500rpm. thats with any turbo. I know two people who have made 320rwkw on thier R33 GTR's with HKS 2530's. These are a low mount bolt on application. They have a great spool and would hit full boost around 4500rpm. how much does 320 rwkw equate to in HP? -
can you say fastest supra in australia!!!

nice work dude. I know how long the car has been in at ICE. must feel great to plant the foot and actually go somewhere. With all the problems sorted, should be an absolute weapon.....and an inspiration to other 33 owners looking for the same power.

RB20 to 2.2 or 2.4 Using RB26 parts
PurpleR32 replied to MADGT4's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Tomei also make 2.4 pistons specifically for this type of conversion. http://www.greenline.jp/catalogue/bcpartli...ntake=FI#engine at 145,299 Yen or approx Aud $1700 the 4ag pistons are a better buy. Depends on how much you want to spend I would have loved to do this conversion in my R32 GTST, but i did the math, and bought a R32 GTR instead. -
My Bad Boys are here (GTRS Turbo's)
PurpleR32 replied to OZ GTR35's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
What I would like to know is why 25/30's made more rwkw power at 1.4bar than GT-RS turbos at 1.4bar. Forgetting response, I have to believe there is something wrong when at the same boost, GT-RS make less power.....some 46rwkw less too! I guess tuning is the key -

You can also submit a complaint about the officers condcut. Chances are he has harrassed someone before and hopefully had another complaint against him. Im not quite sure about queenslands police structure, but there should be the equivalent of a Police Ombudsman who handles complaints.

33GTR For Sure. A gt-t is still a gt-t. But a GTR is the KING!!!!

they also coat their chips in an epoxy resin, thereby making it nearly (read totally) impossible to re-chip. They are usually tuned for jap fuel so run rich. i think zoom (or hpI) did a chip comparison and found that on their particular test engine the mines had the lowest power figure.

Definetly s15. Insurance should be lower because its Australian Delivered (providing you buy an aust delivered), and just about all insurers should give a quote. Not like the 33, where only specialists will insure you. ie Just Cars.

has anyone brought from this site??
PurpleR32 replied to davidl's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Greenline and nengun would be a safer bet. Reasonable prices, heaps of people on these forums have successfully purchased from them. http://www.greenline.jp http://www.nengun.siteblast.com -

Unbelievable car story (long) (names changed)

Guys you are missing the point. They cops are useless because they are too buys defecting us, to be worried about silly little crimes like car theft -
My Bad Boys are here (GTRS Turbo's)
PurpleR32 replied to OZ GTR35's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
How it going Oz? A lot of people are very anxious as the GT-RS are a much hyped up turbo and are awaiting real world experience in Aus. Cheers -
Ben and ICE are the best GTR mechanics and tuners in Melbourne. That is a fact. They are the only people I would trust to work on my car and do a great job and at a fair price. Something i think a lot of other mechanics forget when you mention the three letters G, T and R. "OH you have a GTR.......Thats gunna cost eleventy Thousand" Did i hear that Promech are the Official HKS distributor for Victoria?

about 40k dude. TOTALLY worth it. Just call him and set up a drive if you are serious.
-
Call Gerald. Its midnight purple, stock (except for exhaust) origional kilometers and never crashed. That is guaranteed. Just take it for a spin and you will see im right
-
i agree. applications can only be submitted on or after 1st jan. DOTRS then take the mandatory 3 weeks to return the very simple application. As it is on a case by case basis, you also have to prove the car was fully paid for by the cutoff date as well. Only after you have the import aproval should you put it on a boat.

I was of the opinion that 33GTR's came with the same ceramic bb turbos. The exception is the n1's which have steel wheel n1 turbos. As for flaws, well the early 33's have been around for a while. Things like the rubber hoses & pipes in the engine bay get frail and brittle due to heat and age, as well i have seen AFM's become faulty and lean out one bank. Coils can become faulty as well as fuel pumps. Origional kilometers also becomes a problem as the japs love to wind back the clock. Remember this can happen to any and all cars that are becomming older. I dont think there is too many common flaws though, just basic maintenance and attention is required. Gerald from ICE Performance has an absolute immaculate R33 GTR for sale. This was/is his personal car and is a real stunner. If you are serious about finding a good car at a great price call him on 9512-7591 or 0414-359-888
