  1. Can you please clarify this statement on the LS1 Events and Rules. Is this post a 'personal invitation'?
  2. There are four different types of HKS T04. Most of them also come in with different diameter housings as well. I think it goes- T04s, T04r, T04r Cut Back, then the new kid on the block the T04Z. Apparently the T04Z is set to revolutionise turbos with its unique impeller design. It has holes drilled into the excess metal, feeding air into the edges of the impeller. Apparently this is said to prevent surgning with the larger impeller. With the link, on the righthand side under 'new releases' click T04Z http://www.hks-power.co.jp This concept is similar to the new Trust T88H-38GK
  3. dude, you just have to be carefull about the lift and duration of the cams. They may not fit without some head modification. I 'think' (please dont quote me) that anythin over 9.0 lift will need re-shimming. Its a great price if you get cams and gears as well.
  4. $1300 is ok (even better if it come with throttlebody) UPI have them for 1400. http://www.upimports.com.au/UPI_Parts/induction.php I think for the quality and 'bot on' ease of installation, you cant really go past it. I have yet to see an 'australian made' plenum for under $2000 that i would put on my car. greenline have Trust Surge Tank (intake plenum) for Aus$986.276 plus post and import duties. http://www.greenline.jp
  5. Dude, your right . Im sorry for 'flying off the handle' You will not receive another relpy or question from me. May your attempt to be a professional and recognised sporting association become succfessful. The Monkey
  6. Thankyou. Im glad there are people that know what they are talking about. I will gladly pay the membership fee and become a member. As for putting my hand up, its clear all positions have been filled. cut and pasting is better than typing. An unincorporated entity does not need a TFN nor does it need to lodge Tax return, however the financial statements do have to be prepared by and accountant or audited at the end of each financial year. I am offering my services to prepare any financial information required at end of financial years free of charge. This should satisfy any ATO or Legal requirements for preparation of financial statements. There is a big difference between lodging your own tax returns and having the appropriate skill, experience and training at reconciling accounts, managing cashflow and maintain recipts recieved and issued. Please prove me wrong. But this shows that more information has to be forthcoming.
  7. Ok. if that is the case, why do we already have a full and complete board? I was not aware that SAU is already an unincorporated association, the AGM must have taken place already, and we must have elected them. My bad sorry.
  8. Dudes, there are so many questions that have to be answered and im not satisfied that too many people on here know the answers. Its all well and fine to nominate positions and titles, but do you guys actually know what constitutes an official club? Not to mention being affiliated with CAMS or ANDRA like professional bodies, but to have public liability insurance (I believe offered by cams) etc. etc. We are luckly enough to be categorised as a sport so i guess thats ok under the heading: using equipment to achieve mobility: This includes activities such as canoeing; cycling; dragon boat racing; drag racing; go-kart racing; hang-gliding; kayaking; motor-car racing (circuit, rally); motor cross; motorcycle racing; mountain bicycle riding; rowing; yachting. Then there are the tax side of things: It will have to be classified as an unincorporated entity, will need to be audited by a PROPER auditor, have a proper constitution, have an annual AGM, and not to mention all board members have to voted in by Paid up members not just nominated over the intranet. Do we have to lodge a Tax Return? YES we do, so Who and at what cost? Who is going to apply for an ABN or TFN? Then there are the other side of tax Is SAU (Vic) exempt from Income Tax? Does it have its own Constitution? Does it satisfy TR 97/22? TR 97/22: You will be exempt from income tax if: you are a non-profit society, association or club you are established for the encouragement of: a game or sport, or animal racing you are not a charity, and you meet at least one of three additional tests: 1.physical presence in Australia test 2.deductible gift recipient test, or 3.prescribed by law test. The only test I see us passing is #1: Do you have a physical presence in Australia? To the extent you have a physical presence in Australia, do you pursue your objectives and incur your expenditure principally in Australia? 1.It cannot be carried on for the purposes of profit or gain to its individual members. 2.It must be for the encouragement of a game or sport. 3.That encouragement must be the club's main purpose I think some people need to do a bit more research (or it may have already been done i hope) and get yourselves a dodgy accountant who will be treasurer, not just some guy that does his own returns (no offence intended). In my opinion Some people are not taking this seriously, whan it could not be more important for our future.
  9. dont bother with a single. They suck. A waste of time and money. If you are going to do 2530's a twin plate is an absolute minimum. 1.8 bar would not be out of the question on HKS 2530's but it would be at the higher end of their efficiency.
  10. A friend of mine made 310rwkw on 2530's in his R33GTR you are on the right track the list should go like this Apexi Power FC Cam Gears Fuel Pump ( Bosch motorsport 044 (by memory)) Twin plate clutch fuel injectors (700cc) Hks books controller, or you can get one attached to the Power FC, but i hear it is not as good (stand to be corrected) 2530's and full exhaust off the turbo's Dont bother too much with the 2540 range if it is response you are after, while they are good, they are laggy.
  11. Guys the 32 is still the king. Not because it is lighter or quicker, but because it is the origional. Its like a trilogy movie, the first is always the best. Plus its looks are timeless. whereas the 33 looks clumsy. sort of like a patch up job
  12. Either some of you guys are lying or the election was rigged. Its funny you know, every person I speak to swears that they didnt vote for him, yet he won the election by the greatest margin ever seen in Victorian Politics. Go figure I didnt vote for the kunt either
  13. 800PS. Thats enough
  14. Power FC Motec Autronic I personally wouldnt buy a "chipped" ECU either.
  15. Guys if you read the article carefully, the RB26 plenum and its 6 individual throttles, didnt actually impede power. The engine produced the same power, just higher in the rev band. This makes a lot of sence due to its short inlet runner design, where as the RB20 plenum has a very long runner design. Thus if you are running the engine constantly at high RPM (which is what the RB26 and its under square engine was designed to do) the RB 26 plenum and ease of piping is a great idea on an RB20. However this type of mod is not recommended for a nearly stock/low mods type of application, more of a big turbo, high revs type.
  16. Masses?!? Watch out....
  17. Yes. The only two people I would recommend, would be Race Pace motorsport in Bayswater or ICE Performance in Cheltenham www.racepacemotorsport.com or Gerald (Ice Performance) 9512-7591
  18. I know ICE PERFORMANCE has (had?) one for sale. Last time I was there anyway. Call Nigel and ask. Bold on type of affair

Thats a good time for its first time out, and the MPH shows there is more in the car. But why would you run full drag slicks, and not warm them up? If they didnt think the driveline was up to the task, why put them on?
  21. Please dont think you are the only one waiting. As megs stated, imagine all of Geoff's customers who's cars are being stored untill 1st of Jan 2004. I wonder what he is planning, as he is only obliged to store them until then. Patience is a virtue
  22. Firstly, I would actually ask someone that is going through the process (I dont believe Geoff is) on what you can and cant do. Dean from upi would be the man. I believe (stand to be corrected) he is the only one in Vic applying at the moment for the R32 GTR compliance plate. Secondly, its not as easy as "Importing it under race/rally" You have to be a CAMS member and have a certain level CAMS license. With your application to import for race/rally ,it must be accompanied with a log book, showing you actually competing in race events. Like i stated before, the government know the loop holes in the old system and have taken measures to quash them
  23. On the Contrary. What you do with the modified parts matters a great deal. You have to prove the parts bought in on the car has either been: A: Destroyed, in which case they want to see a document of proof from the people who destroyed them or B: The parts must be sold, in which case you need a receipt of sale and a bank statement that proves the money has been paid into your account. Dont think its as easy as "I will put them on later" They are not dumb, and know exactly the loop holes in the previous system.
  24. I was not implying anything megs. Just curious. Cant wait to see it run some numbers. I know tuning is a very important factor in the life of an engine. Good luck to everyone involved
  25. Megs, is that the motor BMT rebuilt with standard pistons? I wouldnt mind a rundown on what is in the motor and what management they use. Is this the one with the Trust box in it?
