I would be in for sure. I have previously organised one in the passed and im sure Meggala will tell you was a fun day had by all. My only concern is with the drought and water on the skidpan. I know they have their own water storage area, but Last time I was there we were limited to the amount of water on the skidpan. Please check with decca to ensure they have enough water. GIDDY UP!

Tomei Make cams especially for the VVT RB25. I think since you are getting the GT30, which is big turbo, cams are a good idea, as your power will be coming at much higher revs. However make sure you have exhausted most avenues of modifications before you do cams

Was a black 33 gtst very heavily worked. He only had it for about 3 months. My condolances go out to his family as well as the family of the passenger. It is not upto me to release any names or details of the car, suffice to say there is only half a recognisable car left. Words cannot describe the toll and burden that the famililes must now endure. This should serve as a timely reminder to everyone who drives a high powered car to be careful and if you are doing something dangerous....make sure you are alone.

How to give the 'line that "jap" look
PurpleR32 replied to Greg's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Have a sticker made up in jap-lish like "Hardcore Windscreen" or "Always Bald" -
Man there are so many R33's out there they are becoming almost 'common' Go the R32 GTST or 180sx with the s15 front. Be a little different!! Good examples of R32's are going for 18k and under! this leaves plenty of change out of 20K to put in the bank or re-invest in mods! Alternatively try and seek a 1996 180sx with the skyline-esque rear end!!! HOT:eek: even better, put an s15 front on that!!!

Yesterday I even had a lady in a brand new Jag drag me off at the lights. U know that look other drivers have on their face when you beat them.....you know.....the "Man, I should have bought a Skyline" look. She had that look too:rolleyes: Was really funny.

The Turbo titles are on at Heathcote again. And I for one am going (unfortunately only to spectate at this stage). Went to the last one (where GTR 700 made its debut) and was thoroughly impressed. jason (rh9- 34 GTR) is ment to be making his debut as well, and there are rumours that GTR 700 will be back in action as well!!! Expect to see the sub-zero boys, loads of WRX's & evo's and other hi-po cars. Hopefully some Big HP GTR's as well.

I didnt mean to bag the 3 ltr crew, coz I know a few of them (inc Matty) just a spanner to throw into the works. Matty Id love a ride in the beast. Whan I read Munro's comment saying "There is no such thing as cheating in Drag Racing.First over the line wins.Thats it." I never looked at it that way, thanks mate. Hope this summer sets out to be one of the hottest for drag racing GTR's. Which allows an engine to rev harder bore or stroke? GO THE GTR!!!!

GTR Gear Box 4 Sale
PurpleR32 replied to bigfella's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
I didnt think GTR boxes came in auto -
I also know of a certain red 33 with a 3ltr:D I didnt really explain myself properly, while I would shudder at the expense and effort that goes into a 3ltr, and respect to all those people who have done it, there was a reason that nissan didnt build the 3ltr for the GTR, and that was to allow it to rev harder. Its the age old compromise between low down torque and top end revs.

Yes, a congratulations must go to Keir and his team, however records were made to be broken. Im sure you are not far off Munro, and there are a couple of potential cars in vic that are being built. Will make for an exciting summer. When is the next major meet? Im going to heathcote on the 16th of november (unfortunately not to compete....yet:)) to see a meet. I may stir up a few emotions, but is having a 3ltr GTR cheating?

The only exhaust that is that aggressive in its angle is the HKS (hyper i think) My N1 isnt that angled, and neither are kakimoto. Could be trust, but my bet is HKS. Strange it doesnt have any insignia?

You can safely use RB26 rods and crank (cant remember if u have to modify the block) which strokes it out to a 2.4 ltr. I was thinking of doing this conversion, but i have decided to just buy a GTR instead. Because there is no point in stroking the 20 unless u have a hugr turbo (GT30 or bigger) hten u need cams, injectors, fuel pump, ect ect. till u actually decide a GTR is better anyway. So my car is for sale.

FS: Wrecking R32 GTS - All Parts Avail
PurpleR32 replied to Dr_Drift's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Has the engine been moved? Basically Im after the entire front half (including rotors)...tho u can keep the mags and sell them to someone else. How much? Dont bother....I thought it was turbo -
What type of zorst do u want? Cat-back, turbo back? Do u want new, or second hand? Dont get a custom one made up, go for a big nasty jap one. Ive got an Apexi N1 from (and including) the cat back. Doesnt drone, more power, and sounds awsome. For the price of gettn a custom one done, go the jap one. And trufit...well...Ive had dealings with them.....what gasket!!!!

Fit a larger, more efficient cooler. Your power FC (hand controller) will tell you what duty your injectors are at. As for turbos well you cant go past the 2530's or 2535's with their associated dump pipes (the ones where the internal wastegate has a separate pipe). Both bolt onto the standard manifold and are safe for around 2 bar. Remember that if you do go the new turbo option, you WILL need larger injectors 550cc+, larger fuel pump (you can buy bosch in-tank fuel pumps to suit GTR's) and just to be on the safe side, oil/air separator, and oil cooler. Also a twin plate clutch is also a good idea, as well as new suspension (for handling the extra power and more control/feel). Upgrade brake pads to something like EBC green/blue/yellow stuff for increased stopping. This should net you around 300rwkw. Providing that it is tuned properly (on a dyno is a good way) there is no reason that you need to open the motor. The Gearbox is still safe providing you treat it nicely. Anymore power than this and it starts to get into big HP and big dollar fields.

"Budget" and modifying a GTR dont exactly go hand in hand. Dont even think about turbos if u are only going to put in 5k! First: Full exhaust system (trubo's back) Second: Pod Filters with appropriate ducting Third & Fourth: Intercooler upgrade and or Cam Gears By doing this, boost will rise a little as it is not being restricted as much. Its at this stage that your injectors are nearing max and fuel pump is getting strained. From there on its "Speed costs Money, how fast do you want to go?" Boost controller, injectors, fuelpump, new computer management, oil/air separator, turbos, clutch ect....ect...

Well I guess it was only a matter of time before the 9.75s record set by Mario's GTR 700 was broken. An adelaide entrant has clintched top spot with a 9.745. Keir Wilson is the owner/driver of the R32 GTR with an OS Giken 3 litre, hollinger, and TD06 turbos (last time i checked) Congrats must go to Keir and everyone involved as thats a sensational effort. With the return of Mario GTR records are set to tumble and with a few big HP GTR's on the build, the competition is finally turning into what I've been hoping it would for at least 2 years. My question is this: Is Keirs 32GTR now eligable to become a RH9 car? If so, I believe its the first GTR in Australia to be eligable. (Mario's is in the Pro class)
