  1. Hey guys, So I just recalibrated my TPS as the guide posted up says to. Previously, at full throttle, the display would only show 86%. Now that I've done the calibration, for some reason my boost display is completely whack. At idle it used to show -470ish but now it shows -200. I am running 0.9bar daily and my AVC-R shows this is correct when I give it full throttle however the display on the center screen shows 1.6 bar. When I'm cruising off boost, it's showing 0.5bar. I didn't think that recalibrating the throttle position sensor would effect this at all. Does anyone have any ideas Thanks!

Hey Anthony, that was me in the GTR, I was behind you from St Georges Rd intersection and got caught in traffic. Couldn't get up beside you to wave until I had to turn off and realised you were right beside me! First thing I was going to do when I got home was to hop on here and say I spotted an R33 with SAU stickers but you beat me to it
  3. Hi mate, Do you happen to have the dash piece that surrounds the headunit?
  4. Hey Roshan, I may be interested if no one else has the gold/silver colour one for GTR. How much are you after for the piece? The black one is off a GTT right? Thanks
  5. Thanks so much! I'll give it a shot in the coming days, for now the wiring has all been laid and I put the interior back together just so I can drive around for the time being.. I'll hopefully be able to give a proper review once it's all connected properly
  6. Hey guys, Just after the R34 GTR dash piece that surrounds the headunit area as seen below. I'm located in Melbourne and can pickup but happy to pay for postage if someone interstate has it.

Spotted a white 34 with black/cf bonnet last night parked at the shops on the corner of Springvale Rd and Ferntree Gully Rd.. anyone here? There were plenty of cops waiting at spaghetti junction too last night, I got pulled over and asked to pop the bonnet.. the cop was a nice enough guy, explaining what he was looking for then in his words "you don't look the hoon type for a car like this so I won't hassle you any longer" and let me go!
  8. Awesome! Thought it was just my inability to put it in properly haha. I'm a little confused how to wire the rear camera and tv with the lack of instructions it came with though.. Did you have to run the camera off a relay? And I thought I hooked the tv up properly but it keeps saying about the safety when I try to click on it..? Any help plz? Thanks! Right now those are the only two things not hooked up properly, but I'm loving the unit anyway! GPS works a treat
  9. Hey Pat Did you have trouble fitting the unit to the space of the dash surround? Seems the unit is just a tad bigger and I might have to file back the dash piece so that it can sit properly around the screen..

Ohh awesome, so maybe it's parked there most days.. awesome professor haha! Spotted a nice white R34 on Bell St this morning heading towards the Tullamarine Fwy.
  11. Vic Police had a stand at the Melbourne F1 this year for the one way screws. You just had to tell them what car you had and they looked it up in their book and gave you the best screws to use. I haven't even looked at them yet because I was going to wait to order personalised plates before using them. Maybe you can still pick them up from police? :\
  12. Hi, could I please get a quote on standard slotted rotors front and rear for R34 GTR please. Could I also get a price on EBC green stuff too? Thanks
  13. I missed the news last night.. did anyone see pics/footage on the news of this incident? Was it a dark reddish/maroonish 4th gen Prelude? I had one around that area at 12:30am speed up beside me then slow to my pace and drop a gear and floor it ahead... then slowed to my pace again and drop a gear again and race ahead. He did that 3 times before realising I wasn't going to even bother with him and I turned off. It said the incident occurred at around 2:30am so I'm just wondering if it was the same guy :\
  14. Haha yeah, I meant Synergy8000 felt better to me compared to Vpower and BP Ultimate.. they just feel a tad more sluggish when I try them in my car.
  15. Haha it's hard for me.. my car is tuned fairly rich and even on a long trip along the Hume to Sydney my car would've struggled for 500 I think, I filled up before being able to see how far I would have gotten and wasn't keeping figures back then. I use Synergy8000, seems to make the car feel more responsive to me.. maybe it's just in my mind though!
  16. I'm having the same issue as described. I did 2 laps on track and both oil and water temps rose to 115-120degrees in no time. I backed off and let it cool down, which it did, but then rose again very quickly once I started another hot lap. I checked and bled the coolant in the pits and then went back out but it still hit those temperatures again in just over a lap. I went to get the radiator flow tested but was told they couldn't do much with it? Hmm My mechanic said it's either the radiator or the clutch fan but he doesn't have a spare clutch fan to test. Do they cost a lot?
  17. Great tips Callum. I've just started seeing how low I can get my consumption by driving very conservatively.. just as an experiment. I think it's a matter of self control most of the time too.. other drivers take off from the lights and pass me looking over with a "why do you drive that car and go so slow" look. But it doesn't bother me Anyway, I was averaging 13.5L/100km and when driving with fuel economy in mind, I managed to get 12.4 and 11.16. I think driving style and keeping an eye on traffic ahead so you can keep momentum and minimise your start/stop driving helps dramatically. I'm going to keep my experiment going for a few tanks to see how far I can wind out from a fill.. my goal is 500km from a tank without running out empty. I don't think I'll make it haha.
  18. This must be the one you're talking about. Found a pic of it. Does anyone have a link to the guide?
  19. Thanks Rob, might have to hit you up for some help if I get stuck installing this myself if you don't mind! I can't seem to find any reviews anywhere for the other unit. All I've managed to find out is it's made by Hoatoa (www.hoatoa.com) and it's the HT-9000i model. I'll probably give it a shot anyway.
  20. It says in the product description: Display Adjustment (Brightness, Contrast, Color Arbitrarily Settings) I'm not too technical on the wiring side of things but the 'illumination' wire.. does that connect to the dash lights so it dims when you turn the lights on?
  21. Anyone know if when this says iPhone ready, if the bluetooth will connect to iPhone and allow you to do dialling through the unit? Really interested in getting one of these too given the feedback so far! Pat, now that you've had it in for a while longer, is there anything else you found annoying about the unit? Is there any info on how to update maps later on? Do you just have to download maps from "other sources"? Also.. how does the TV reception fare?
  22. Agreed with funkymonkey.. Many times, I've had police drive up behind me and I get myself ready for the lights to come on.. then they just go around me. If you're driving sensibly and don't have anything ridiculously noticable on your car which could be defected, then as mentioned, they tend to think you're a more mature person driving the car with a passion rather than a hoon.

    R34s...please!

I went out last weekend to take some shots.
  24. Hey guys, some amazing shots here! I'm pretty amateur at photography but thought I'd share a few I took of my car last weekend. Just click to view larger. The first three pictures are HDR. Any tips/feedback would be good so I can try to improve Also, while I'm here.. can anyone point me in the right direction if there is a thread where people have listed good locations for taking photos of their cars? I'm keen to find some more nice backdrops to head out at night for shots. Thanks!
  25. Thanks for the info Jack! Time for that alarm system!
