  1. 2km track? Aren't they doing the 3km track tomorrow? Although those times you posted look more likely to be the 3km times so maybe just a typo
  2. Here we go 1999 BNR34 V-Spec Grade 4B 63,324km The ETA is 12th August, fingers crossed!
  3. Hi guys, Just purchased an R34 GTR Vspec from Japan and waiting for it to arrive. I'm trying to organise compliancing now, the car comes with a Nismo front bar and Nismo exhaust. I assume the Nismo front bar won't affect compliancing but the exhaust will need to be changed back to stock to pass compliance. The workshops I've called for quotes have all asked if I can supply or borrow a stock 34GTR exhaust to use for compliance.. My question is, for others who have brought in cars, have you guys had trouble finding a stock exhaust? I wouldn't have a clue where to start looking, it'll only be temporary that I'd have the stock exhaust on there before changing it back to what it came with.. I've started asking around but just wanted to get some advice off you guys who are more knowledgable than me no doubt! Thanks!
  4. I went there to ask about importing since I work and live not far from there.. and there was something about them that made me think better of it. I decided to go through Geoff at Prestige Motorsport and he's been 100% helpful throughout the process so far.
  5. Thanks mxfly I landed a winning bid on one yesterday for under my budget! Now for the gruelling wait to get it in my hands!
  6. Wow, thanks guys. I guess I'll just keep being patient and hopefully can find a good example of one. I was hoping not to spend more than 3.25mil FOB, but that's my absolute maximum if I find something worth stretching that far Fingers crossed!
  7. I'm trying to find one using the same budget too, under 50K on road for a Vspec. Fingers crossed, had a few pop up but haven't made a bid yet after the inspection by the person in Japan. How long did you guys wait before finding one that you liked and bid on it? I've only been signed up for the service for almost a week now. Kessian and mxfly, mind if I ask what you guys set as your FOB budget in Yen and how much you won at? I hope I'm not aiming wrongly with what I set as my max FOB.
  8. Hanyou this has been really helpful Thanks for taking the time to write all of this up and help the rest of us who are looking to go through the same process! I've just started the search of my car a couple of days ago and I'll keep a report and timeline like this too to put up for others to see how it goes!
  9. I'm from Melbourne too and was deciding between Jspec and Prestige just like you. I have nothing against Jspec at all but was keen to get started with a company in Melbourne and after a few emails with no reply, my decision was made. I just couldn't wait any longer. I have just started the search with Geoff at Prestige. He's been 100% helpful and always been quick to reply to emails and call me to discuss anything. I'm very happy with his service so far and it's only been a few days.. hopefully once my experience has ended I will be able to provide more feedback for people who are in the same position of deciding.
  10. Was just pointed in the direction of this thread by a fellow member, I was wondering the same thing hehe. I'll wait patiently for your reply Craig I assume you'd do the emails in order of what you receive so mine will be after snoopy4eva. Thanks! Jason
  11. I'm not trying to accuse you of selling a bad car.. I'm just trying to ask questions that even you or any other buyer would be interested in knowing the answers to when searching for a car to buy. It's unfortunate though that the only question I've had answered was "is the car still for sale" and that any time I try to contact you (if you even read my few SMS msgs to you) to ask to see the car at your tuning shop, I haven't had any reply. I don't see why you say "when this car is done will you meet me". What are you "doing" to it after advertising and also after you just completed a full service? Those are the answers I'm trying to get to help me decide since it's so hard to get in contact with you! Believe me, your car isn't the only one out there and there have been far more helpful and informative sellers out there who give the full story (even if it's not a pretty one) but then it's up to the potential buyer's decision from then on of what they do. I've had my fair share of time wasters as well. I sold my car and handed the keys over on Thursday night so have been through the same hassles.. but anyone who enquired.. I would still get back to them. And to reiterate my earlier questions in hope of answers: A mobile phone being listed as a contact option indicates to me that enquiries should be directed that way. Any kind of reply now would be helpful. When do you think your car will be "done"? I've already organised an inspection on another GTR while waiting for your response. A tip for in future, if you choose to take this on board or not.. the only way to see if someone is a time waster is to at leat give them the benefit of the doubt in first instance.. otherwise you'll be pushing away every potential buyer. Good luck to the next person interested in your car.
  12. Why the change back to standard clutch? And why more changes after you've advertised? What was the figure on dyno that you had organised? No response to mobile or PM..
  13. Hey mate, is your phone number correct? Haven't been able to get a response from you.
  14. Anyone know if this is still for sale or if the seller is contactable? Or can pass a msg on to tell them to check here? Thanks
  15. Hi, tried contacting you earlier today. Is this car still for sale?

  21. Heya, it was a successful event and most things ran pretty smoothly. We did 1 morning warm up/practice session of 5 laps and then cycled through each group doing 5 sessions of 7 laps. Then at about 4pm we did individual runs where each car got to run 2 hotlaps on an empty circuit, then it was a free run until 5pm Pics will be up soon hopefully.
