ferni - i think your spot on. the car does have an oil cooler fitted. thank you so much it makes sense now! would it matter if i did still patch up those holes now - or are they essential would the car still have enough intake vents if i did patch them!?

thanks for the tips guys - i will check out what the vents are there for when i get the car. its got me wondering if they were custom made parts or if they are common bumper mods from japan!?

hey guys and girls, i pick up my GTR next week (SO EXCITED!) the car is exactly what i was after - an all original silver series 3 R33 GTR vspec, but has anybody ever seen these extra air intakes which have been added into the front bumper? there is one on the left hand side of the bumper and one near the left hand blinker as seen in the picture. just want to know what they are before i have them patched up and painted, or replace the bumper if necessary! the genuine driving lights will also be for sale shortly if anybody wants to jump in first and grab them before the ad goes up - PM me with an offer! any information on the extra intakes or even any feedback at all about the car would be appreciated. thanks, chris.
