the SAFC isnt going to handle the high flow turbo very well. you'll be able to tune it slightly, but you'll be missing out on somewhere between 30 and 50rwkw from the lack of an ECU once you put a aftermarket / hiflow turbo in. Plus stock injectors cant cope with much more than ~225 rwkw. The SAFC isnt a bad option, as it will hold its value, so when you put in an aftermarket ECU, can sell it for same price you buy it. Nothing wrong with the Bosch 040 if its installed properly. can just hear it over exhaust at idle, and you cant hear it at all once you start driving. As i said in my previous post however, make sure you have set aside money for a clutch, especially if your still running stockers.. it aint gonna last long. might just be able to squeeze that into your 2k budget along with fmic, fuel pump and safc2.

Gavin Wood - AutoTech www.autech.net.au has the contact details. hes expensive, but you get what you pay for.

i'd recommend getting the FMIC and fuel pump (and Cold Air intakes to shield your pod if you dont already) and saving the rest until your ready for the next step - injectors, turbo and ecu. you COULD get an ECU now, but then your up for a retune when you get your next upgrades.. if your definately upgrading again, i'd hold off the ECU for now until you can do the turbo/inj and ECU in one go. edit: ahh yes, clutch.. once you add the FMIC and put some boost through it, if your not running an aftermarket clutch, you will be soon enough. between a FMIC, fuel pump, clutch, cold air intakes and the associated installation fees, you aint gonna have much of the $2k left.

theres a lot of 'he said' / 'she said'. sounds like something went on with the time sheets, a 'pen issue' ? lol. but u can always expect the club exec / members to stick up for their own. not a lot you can do except boycott the events in future. were u the guy they accused of doing a burnout / skid as you left ?

didn't you hear ? Noels getting a cpl of 15" subs put in his boot so he can listen to hardcore R&B while cruising

your stock exhaust is very restrictive and probably stopping you from making much power.. get an aftermarket exhaust with high flow cat and you'll know about it. as for whether or not there is a problem.. if you say the car is revving and not going anyway, i'd be suspect on the clutch slipping perhaps ???? if it was missfiring / boost leak / AFM you'd notice fluctuations in the revs. if the revs appear to be normal, then i'd guess its the clutch or something in the drive train.

if u were looking to trade down to a (very tidy) mildly modded r33 GTS-t + cash, i could possibly be interested in the next few months.. love the car, but just not in a financial position to make a serious offer at this point in time. best of luck with the sale, it looks top class.

that joke potentially predates your birth, but I still smile when i read it. since we're posting old jokes: A man and a friend are playing golf one day at their local golf course. One of the guys is about to chip onto the green when he sees a long funeral procession on the road next to the course. He stops in mid-swing, takes off his golf cap, closes his eyes and bows in prayer. His friend says, "Wow, that is the most thoughtful and touching thing I have ever seen. You truly are a kind man." The man then replies, "Yeah, well we were married 35 years." ------------------------------------- On the 16th hole of the golf course, Fred had hit his ball into the woods. Harry, his partner had laughed and poked fun, but then somehow managed to hit his ball into the woods, just a few yards beyond. Fred looked for a long time, getting angrier every minute. Finally, in a patch of pretty yellow buttercups, he found his ball. Instead of just continuing the game, he took his club and thrashed every single buttercup in that patch. Suddenly, in a flash and puff of smoke, a little old woman appeared. She said, "I'm Mother Nature! Do you know how long it took me to make those buttercups? Just for that, you won't have any butter for your popcorn the rest of your life.....better still; you won't have any butter for your toast for the rest of your life.....as a matter of fact, you won't have any butter for anything the rest of your life!" Then POOF!...she was gone. After Fred got a hold of himself, he hollered for his friend, "Harry!... Harry!... where are you?" Harry yells, "I'm over here, in the pussy willows." Fred screams back..... "DON'T SWING!!! FOR GOD'S SAKE!! DON'T SWING!!!"

i made 170rwkw (silver r33 with SAU sticker). reasonably happy with that. Once i get some cash saved, highflow, injectors and ECU and i'll hopefully hit 230-250.

if you dont intend on modifying your car down the track, look at an SAFC to band-aid the problem. otherwise, start thinking about tracking down a PFC and getting a proper tune done.

sounds like boost cut to me. just means your hitting a point on your ECU map that it considers dangerous and cuts power to the engine. time for aftermarket management, or just take out ~1 PSI to avoid it. if there are other symptoms (like missfiiring through the rev range) could be the coilpacks.. but from what youve said, its just boost cut.

Ok So Here Is A Log Of My Surging Issue And Cold Start
Strik3r replied to WogsRus's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
check the AFM wiring.. it could be shorting like ceffie said.. look for exposed wire or anything out of the ordinary.. if your AFM is doing anything wrong, it will throw out everything.. idle, power etc. -

i dont have any software to read through all those logs, but ill recommend again to try yet another AFM just to tripple check thats not the problem. any chance you can also borrow someones AAC valve as those 2 would be the first things i'd be checking (even if you've already double checked them - once more wont hurt). -
my bet is on AFM. borrow a working one to find out !

looks like a good event. nice purple GTR

mornin all. just got my retune done with new AFM in. verrrry happy. got 170rwkw @ 11psi on matty's dyno which he said was 'good' for my mods. wasnt able to truly test out the car as it was raining, but could already feel it pulling harder than before mucho happy. look forward to seeing the readout @ the sliding performance dyno day. hopefully a few of you will make your way down for it. still spots available i believe.
