  1. night whores
  2. its a close race between shane's running day and the apocalypse
  3. o0o0o, gossip. common dan, spill the beans.
  4. the poor performance could be due to coilpacks causing a miss, but the stalling and hunting is indicative of an AFM problem.. Plus the fact your mechanics said the same thing certainly points towards it... Only way to see for sure would be a CONSULT hookup.
  5. the cops will never notice right ?
  6. like you said, check intercooler and piping for blockages/leaks. Also make sure the BOV isnt leaking air.. maybe its getting weak and is opening and letting out air before it should !
  7. it definately sounds like AFM, but dont pay $400 to have it 'reconditioned'. You can try getting some electical contact cleaner and cleaning it with that, but you should be able to find a 2nd hand afm for < $100.
  8. i cant imagine the heat buildup getting worse for installing a shield around the POD.. even without proper ducting, just having a hole at the bottom of the box to draw air in from behind/below the headlight (as mentioned above), should see an improvement. therefore it sounds like somethings gone wrong in the installation. check all piping, make sure POD was reinstalled correctly. maybe clean out POD if it was removed and put somewhere where it could have gotten dirty/blocked.
  9. boring day in whore town.. where are all the hot skyline chicks showing us their new bikini's dammit.
  10. leaving the hole in the bottom should be fine. I'd check your piping.. sounds like you might have a leak.
  11. a faulty AAC valve could be causing your idling problem. even if you've tested it, might be worth borrowing a working one to see if it causes problem. i'd also be trying yet another AFM and tripple check that is not the issue... i have a similar issue at the moment. car was not idling properly and is running lean through the power range. AFM appeared fine on CONSULT. we replaced the AAC as it was found to be sticking/jamming and that part fixed the cold start problem, but car was still a bit off. Swapped AFM out with a known working one and it started working properly. I'm buying a 2nd hand one tonight, and retune tomorrow morning. ill let you know if its all fixed up after that.
  12. lol i like it big happy birthday anna !
  13. quick question for GTHR32.. what would you charge for a complete respray of an r33 ?
  14. lol was a good finish to the night ? who wants to do my assignments for me ? no noel, you can't.. lecturer might complain if theres old person drool over them
  15. spotted a black r34 with a verrrry nice kit on it on wednesday at griffith uni (gold coast) around lunchtime. also spotted a laborgini orange r32 being very careful over uni speed bumps later that evening when i was about to catch a bus (my line was getting serviced).
  16. yea upon talking with my tuner, he advised against it. suggested i just buy a 2nd hand AFM and worry about the z32 when/if i get aftermarket management. thx anyway.
  17. posted in forced induction this can be deleted.
  18. So my AFM is playing silly buggers, and rather than replace with a 2nd hand one in unknown condition, ive decided to replace with a Z32 since i have a SAFC2. Just confirming, the sensor number settings on the SAFC for a 1996 R33 GTST rb25det for a z32 would be 2 for in and 4 for out ? or still use 1 for out ? also, ive been told that the z32 will cause the af ratios to lean right out, so i need to add a bunch more fuel until i can get it on the dyno (booked in tuesday of next week). Any idea of % required to add to limp the car by (will keep it < 3k rpm in the interim). cheers p.s. i did a search thats how i came with the above info.. but there were some contradictions, so just wanted confirmation,.

  20. SAFC2 = $300-350.. Tune = $150.. so its much of a muchness really.. a remap gives you a better tune/control. the safc2 allows you to change your tune for less...
  21. noel your scary =\
  22. yes, if you increase the boost it changes the tune. do you have a boost controller at the moment ? if not, i would get an EBC and give mercury a call. they'll set whatever boost you want and remap to suit. Also, if your gonna be putting out more power, make sure your fuel pump is up to scratch. fyi i think a remap comes in at about $500
  23. hahahahahahahahahaha i like it. welcome.. will hopefully see you at some of the events. if you want to find out how your skyline stacks up, should come down next weekend to the Sliding performance dyno day. check out the events section for details *more free advertising for aaron since he put in my coilpacks s2
