it is worth remapping the standard ECU if your not going to do any more mods... so i'd suggest getting a front mount before you got it remapped, cause otherwise later down the track u'll need to remap it again. a SAFC is a piggy back computer that modifies the reported voltage from the air flow meter. its good for some tweaking, but if you want to take full advantage of that high flow, either an aftermarket ecu or a remap is in order.

id be checking Spark Plugs (put new ones in for peace of mind - $100 for iridium heat range 6 gap 0.8), coil packs (check for gaps/cracks, do a search on how to quick fix them) and AFM (air flow meter - not sure how you can self test this - think you need a CONSULT hookup.). doesnt sound like r&r if it happens at 7 psi.

on the contrary, if your coilpacks are breaking down, it explains the boost problem exactly.. hesitating and struggling to pull but still reading high PSI indicate its probably not a leak, so i'd definately say coils/sparks.. do a quick search about the coilpack issue and u can quick fix them instead of replacing. at least that will help u diagnose. you will probably find its the 1 cause for both problems.. check out coils and sparks and see how u go i guess.

how long since your spark plugs were replacead ? still using stock coilpacks ? those 2 would be top of my list of things to check.

the big point that keegs hit on the head was that cops have no idea about half the laws they are enforcing with regards to modifications... how many threads do we see about people getting defected for legal mods ? i'd really like to see the ability to hand out defect fines by cops removed, or at least proper training provided so they dont hand out incorrect defects.

Matt Spry will quote you $150 for an SAFC tune and he is known to be one of the best tuners around... $500 is what i would expect to pay for a full PFC/other standalone ECU setup and tune.

no it doesnt. well not properly anyway. Paul is looking at modifying GTR PFC's to work with gts-t's but the big problem seems to be the loss of VCT, which makes the car run like ass. A search should dig up the thread if you want more info.

tell me about it. I think it was taken on saturday afternoon when i was up in brisbane as i had it in my bag.. even though my bag was only about a meter away from me, i wasnt always looking at it. Although it could have happened anytime after that as i didnt notice it missing till sunday afternoon, but spent sunday at home, and pretty much came straight home from brisbane on sat. bleh, just have to start replacing the cards.. bank card will be replaced within the next 2 days when they mail it out. once i have that i can get license and uni id. Then i need to beg karen to send me out a new SAU membership card too

spotted a yellow r34 (GTT i think) heading down University Drv towards Bond Uni.. was heading in the opposite direction, so didn't manage to see plates or wave in time. Car looked nice though. I was in the Silver R33.
