  10. im sorry, a bad batch of fuel happens once in a blue moon.. not every time you fill up.. no direspect to your tuner, but if hes saying its bad fuel every time, then maybe its worth taking it elsewhere for a touchup tune. retarding the timing a few degrees can help, but your removing power and changing the tune.. i wouldnt be doing this without having it on a dyno to see the impact its having. take it somewhere else to get a touch up. if they cant make it work, at least you know your tuner isn't full of hot air. then you can start considering other possible reasons.

  14. 1 question noel.. why didnt you start out with a GTR instead ? seems that the amount of money your throwing into it means that the price cant have been the concern ?

  17. sounds like there could be a small leak somewhere.. check all hoses & clamps etc.

'96 r33 GTS-t SAFC: SAFC2 GearBox:MT Turbo: Factory Exhaust: Turbo back Highflow Cat, 3" from turbo back Air Filter: pod with CAI Injectors: Factory Intercooler: GTR Intercooler Fuel Reg: No Fuel Pump: Bosch 040 Boost Controller: Bleed @11 -> 10 @ High RPM BOV: Factory 160RWKW but SAFC tune was set to +5 to +10% all the way through.. probably a problem with fuel filter/rail/pump causing stock ECU to run lean. Getting it sorted in next cpl of weeks and will post new results. Expecting 180-190RWKW once problem is sorted.
  19. that is incorrect, you need the throttle signal..... when you tune the SAFC2, you tune for high and low throttle.. the safc maps differently depending on how far you push the accelerator.. it also interpolates between high and low throttle points for when its in between... You *might* be able to half-ass tune it with no throttle signal, but to do it properly you need it.
  20. 15-16 PSI i would guess.. 220-230rwkw is all they are good for.make sure you keep the injector duty cycle below 90 or you might end up paying for more than just new injectors.
  21. atmo BOV aren't 'illegal' by themselves, but they can book you for undue/excessive noise... is the noise really that important to you ?
  22. this is normal.. it has to do with how the SAFC interpolates knock values.. you will often find that after a long driving session (where your knock might have been say 10-15, you will come to rest in neutral and the knock will jump up 8-10 while idling. dont worry about it.
  23. rule of thumb - SAFC should read below 20 during normal cruising.. up to 30ish if your giving it a bit on a hot day... if your seeing 40 and up regularly then you might have some probs.
