the rule of thumb is less than 1 bar (~14psi) but this probably wouldnt be healthy for extended periods of time. If your going to use a boost controller you could run 0.5 bar (8psi) all the time and then flick to ~0.9 bar when you need that extra grunt.

513-IWD is a definate 100% confirmed. I ran into them again (literally RAN into) while walking through surfers. Brushed up against a car and noticed the number plate. Was going to take photos of the car + police equipment inside n stuff but my phone camera is broken). Its a Silver Holden Commodore (dont know how i thought it was a ford the first time) with no hubcaps on the tyres. Looks like a 2003/2004 model but im not too crash hot on commodores. LIke i said in previous post, its been patrolling Surfers and the Isle of Capri since xmas day or boxing day.

xxx-IWD silver ford falcon (sorry didnt think to memorize it). Has been patrolling the Isle of Capri (one of the main exits from Surfers Paradise) the past 3 days since boxing day. I've heard it pull over dozens of cars so far and seen it pulling over 2 with my own eyes. They tried a nasty trick this morning when i was driving to work. 2 lane road, left lane ends near a bus stop. They were in the right lane next to a bus. Im behind the bus - they obviously see me in my skyline and try and goad me into doing something, cause they slow down in the right lane as the bus pulls over. there was maybe 50 meters of road left in the left lane, they'd be doing 40km/hr (60 street) in the right lane. Obviously wanted me to floor it past them in the left. Luckily i'd been paying attention the last cpl of days and knew it was an unmarked. I slow down and pull in behind them. They pull over and as i drive past i deliberately look at them and shake my head the piggies didnt look happy If i see them again in the next few days i'll memorize the plate an update this post.

Pulled into a repair shop i saw while driving to get my stereo installed and got a quote for $250.. i'll check out a couple of others.. I'd take it to the recommended places, but by the time i drive there and back i'd be paying $30 in fuel so might as well get it done locally. Its not a horrendous crack, but it does detract from the look of the car. I'll play it a bit by ear.. i should probably wait another month or 2 until ive really gotten used to where I can and cant take the car before i get it fixed up, but then im pretty obsessive/compulsive about things being neat and tidy, so i dont know if ill put up with it for that long thanks for the replies.

so after many year of waiting, i finally got my r33 gts-t last week. It had a really nice body kit as well as some performance mods and was in great nick. The owner warned me about driveways and just said be careful cause its low. So after less than a week of driving, being super careful around driveways and speed bumps, i get back to work today after holidays (which has an undercover carpark). I drive into the drive way no problems and drive down the hill, open the gate then slowly creep down the hill thinking it should be ok. next thing i know, *crack*. front bar has copped a nasty knock. back out and take a look.. its a nasty-ish crack with some surrounding paint chipped of the front bar as well. I read the home-repair thread but i think this one might be a little out of my ability. Its not like the bar is hanging off or anything, but the crack is pretty bad and its chipped away a fair bit of the paint. I checked the 'queensland workshops' thread but it only had 1 panel beater listed, and that was in brisbane. My questions are: 1) can any panel beater fix this up or does it need to be a bodykit specialist or something ? 2) what sort of price range am a looking at. Its going to need more than just a respray, some fibreglass will need to be replaced and stuff, but its not like they have to go over the whole bar fixing it. 3) anyone have any recommendations of places which will do a good job that are on the Gold Coast. the only one that someone has said to me so far is burliegh smash repairs with a warning that they do a good job but are a bit pricey.

on the same note, what exactly is entailed in painting a FMIC.. im guessing you cant just spray the whole front of it black ? do you need special heat resistant paint or what ? anyone done this before ?
