  1. Migomag 220amp mig welder. Bargain at just $500!!! Item: Migomag 220am Gassed Mig Welder. This is not a little gasless toy you buy at supercheap or bunnings. This is a full house industrial gassed mig welder. This would be suited for an exhaust workshop, workshops that do custom fabrications or the serious home hobby welder ( I have used it to do all my intercooler piping, my exhaust and other general welding tasks.   2. I am pretty sure the fan is up under the glovebox somewhere, cause thats where the noise is coming from. I will just have to start taking things apart, thanks for the help anyway.

  4. Hi all, Just got the new family rig (Series 1 Stage) and now the fan under the dash has started making some bad noises. Sounds like it is touching something or way out of balance or something. Just wondering how I get to it and how I fix it? Thanks in advanced for your help.

Just doing some more research and I have found this bit of information: (http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/lofiversion/index.php/t62674.html) Quote: The only problem is the resistance of the GTR 444cc injectors, and the difference to the std RB20DET injector. From memory the GTR injector is around 2.5ohm. The std RB20DET injector is around 12ohm. So running the the re-written ECU or an Apexi Power Fc with the injectors will damage the ECU unless the impedence differences are addressed. Funnily enough the GTR ECU also needs to see a high impedence just like the RB20 ECU. However it gets away with using the low impedence 444cc injectors by using a ballast resistor from the factory. If you want to use the GTR 444cc injectors with your RB20 then you will need to get your hands on this ballast reistor as well.
  9. Ok, so we have the power question answered, but here comes the tricky part, I will be running an RB26DETT Power FC on my RB20 so will I still need the resistor pack?
  10. Hi all, I have two sets of CA injectors laying around, and can get them cleaned and flow tested very cheap. I have searched for ages and only found two posts about this upgrade but they didnt answer either of my questions. 1. Will I need a GTR resistor pack even thought I will be running a Power FC? (my mate with a Wolf didnt need one cause he could just select low impedance injectors through the wolf) 2. What kind of power will the CA18DET injectors flow to considering they are 370cc? (read somewhere that the 270cc RB injectors being on a six cylinder = 270hp??)
  11. Yeah, standard fuel pressure is 2.5bar on idle according to the manual, it will be set up on a dyno so I am not worried about mixtures, I will be able to see all that, just wondering what people have set theirs to and what the most you can go up to before anything starts leaking.

  13. Background info first: I have an RB20DET with FMIC, AVCR, Full exhaust KKR430 turbo and a few other bits. I had a SARD FPR sitting around from my old car and want to get the most out of the current setup without changing injectors. I fitted the adjustable fuel pressure reg today and was wondering what kind of fuel pressures any of the tuners out there set them to as to get the most out of the standard injectors? What is the max pressure it should be set to whilst tuning? Thank you all for your help.
  14. I have just installed a KKR430 turbo to my RB20. The bolt on really easy. I got the RB dump pipe to suit too, so that made life a little easier too. The only mods you have to do are the turbo outlet (not being the normal three bolt nissan, so it takes a silicone 90degree bend and a bit of intercooler piping to fix) the turbo inlet (I just cut down my standard intake pipe so it was big enough to fit) and a little bit of grinding on a bulbus fixing point for a bolt on the exhaust manifold. So all up it was a really easy fit!

  16. I wonder if this is the same with all of them or just the smaller ones. Because I have had a few other mates using the KKR430 with no problems of overboosting and they said they were actually quite responsive.
  17. Yeah, I have seen the design of them and they are not the best. But you also hear of a lot of people using them with great success. I think I am going to go the KKR430.
  18. So this is only on the KKR480? When you are saying wastegate flow problems I am assuming it is not flowing enough and over boosting?
  19. lol thanks for the reply guys. I already have a highflow on order and it is just taking way too long, that is why i am considering something else. So thanks for your help. Seeing as there is some bad rep for the highflow turbo, Any bad rep for the KKR turbos?
  20. I do all my own work and they are the same price "fitted" so dont worry about the extra stuff that the KKR turbo will need. I am wondering about longevity of the two turbos and spool up time and overall power output. Just a comparison really of the two turbos.
  21. Hi all, I am looking at hearing peoples experience with these two turbos. I have heard a lot of good reports about both and still a lot of people are using both. The only person I know who has used both turbos on the same car is simon A31 but he didnt reply to PMs. So your experience would be appreciated.

  24. Hi all, Well you cannot say I haven't tried to search, I have been doing so for the last hour! I am trying to find out how to use the error codes and get into the diagnostic mode on my ECU, not via the diagnostic cable. I know that you turn the little knob on the ECU some way and turn it back or something then it will give you any error codes on the little LED on the computer but I cannot find any instructions on how to do it and what all the codes (flashes from the LED) mean. Can someone please help me? Thanks.
