  2. I had my old one lacquered, then you can just treat it in the same way as the bodywork
  3. Its a mix of three Dupont Chromalusion flip pearls, one Dupont Xirallis pearl, oh and some Dupont Xirallis pearl in the lacquer for good measure
  4. You need to find a panel shop that uses ICI paints, I've used ICI, Dupont and Sikkens in shops I've worked in and run, but only ICI has a paint formula for ANO, so if a shop use ICI paints they should be able to match it for you.
  5. Here's the cam covers I painted for Project GTST back in the UK, I just chucked a load of flip pearls together and thought "yeah that will do" Over the top car needs an over the top paint IMO

Nissan super clear red, colour code ANO, the worst colour on the planet to match There's not many paint manufactures that even do a formula, I know ICI do but its a three stage colour, ground coat, pearl coat, and clear, so I would imagine some places would charge extra, I've tried matching it with other colours before but it never looks right, mainly due to the OE paint fading very easily, I've seen people end up respraying the car its that bad, sorry mate but its just a s**t of a colour
  8. Yup black or white, thats the only colours that would look good with such a strong colour, up to you which as IMO they both look cool

  10. I had the same idea a few months ago, get a black Skyline, put on a set of nice white rims and get the roof painted white also, sounds odd but the Carbon R34 GTR looked so dam cool with the same scheme
  11. My car did much better 1/4 times on 17's than 18's, but round a circuit I preferred the 18's and they look better, but the 17's felt better for day to day driving, Depends what your thinking of doing with the car really.

  13. I did have an idea a while ago about doing a matt mid silver car, I reckon it would make the car look like a chunk of bead blasted alloy

Like they said use some heat, but I prefer to use a toffee wheel to remove the glue, its a rubber wheel that fixes to a drill, use it on a slow high torque setting and it takes it off with out using sometimes dangerous chemicals, really really good product!! I couldn't really tell by the pics but after looking at there website they say there "Black & Machined Lip" so I'd say there diamond cut and lacquered, Like Finline said what happened is the lacquer has become chipped, you may not be able to see it but the tiniest chip can cause moisture to get under and attack the alloy, this gives the alloy a milky look, the only way to fix this is have them diamond cut again and re lacquered, expensive This is why more and more wheel manufacturers are opting for the stuck on stainless lip, easier to maintain. Finline - I did the same with my old SSR rims, give a much better finish but its a pain to keep them clean!! lol
  16. Are you sure its a polished metal finish? could be coated in lacquer in which case metal polishes will do more harm than good, some alloys wheels have a stainless lip stuck over the cast alloy, and some have what they call a diamond cut surface with a lacquer over the top. What make are they?

Well the only place I know of is Do Luck them selves, the one I fitted was brought second hand so you could keep an eye on ebay but there rare, Do Luck are very good at keeping people from copying there kits but I'm betting someone has.   19. All paint suppliers supply a matting agent for all clear coat systems, any paint shop can sort you out

I've had the pleasure of working on the Focus ST before they where re-badged XR5 and shipped over to you guys, yes the engine is a nice piece of kit, and makes the cars a very quick one, lots of torque and power with a 6 speed box and it will quite happily keep up with a stock R33 GTST, the engine is very strong, and so it should be as it was made by engineers at Volvo in Sweden who know what there doing, but thats where all the good points stop, the rest of that car was made by a bunch of hill billys out in Spain (Yes Spain, that country thats renown for its car making ability's?!?!) Having worked on Ford Focus's for over 7 years now I would not own one if it was given to me, They really are the biggest pile of crap to come out of eastern Europe (Except for the Ford Fiesta thats even worse), It wont be long after you purchase one you will see bits flying off in you rear view mirror, as most of it is stuck together with double sided tape and clips made from recycled kids plastic toys.
