I would of given it a coat of clear with matting agent in it, then you get the matt finish but you can clean it the same as any other paint finish, dont think anyone will be able to give you a correct answer on your question, as your not suppose to just coat a car in base coat, its going to attract the moisture and get micro blisters after time, clear coat seal's the base and protects it, like I said giving it a coat of matt clear is your best option.

The R33 GTR Do luck rear wing is not just a wing, its part of the grp boot lid so you need to buy the whole boot lid, then you have to bond or screw the quarter pieces on so they line up with the wing, the actual blade is just a GTR blade screwed to the wing uprights on the boot lid, and is not adjustable. Not the easiest wing to fit but one of the best looking drag wings out there IMO, here's some pics of one I fitted to a mates car.. Not sure about the GTS wing but it looks like it fits to a OE boot lid, looks a lot easier to fit.

Thats nice! real nice! good clean look with wheels that suit it to, well done you got great taste!

I'm pretty sure its carbon effect, with a clear flexible plastic coating, then the Nismo decal is screen printed on the clear coating, they just stick on, adhesive backed.

This any good?

I think the GTS VS-GT kit like yours looks stunning!! although the GTS C1 kit is possibly the worst kit ive seen on a GTT.

Here's a good place for logo's, all in nice eps format to http://www.brandsoftheworld.com/search/?qu...brand_id=114507

The GTR wing does look good but its been done to many times IMO, I like cars to stand out from the crowd, I have an infill low drag lip spoiler same as you I think, gives a nice smooth look to the car but the water problem is annoying at times, If I did it again I would go for the GTS Do Luck drag wing, dont see many around and I love the look

At the end of the day its your car but... Remember the boot on a 4 door is not recessed like a 2 door, and the GTR wing is designed to sit on a recessed boot, so its not going to fit a stock 4 door very easy, you shouldn't have a problem fitting any of the R34 wings as they have flush boots the same, I like the look of the smooth no wing or low drag wing look, but its up to you at the end of the day.

I found dark colours don't draw attention, also it just looks blue until the sun hits it, pics here.. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=179388

I felt the same when I changed the colour on mine, In the end I went for McLaren Colvin blue but added some Xirallis Crystal frost white pearl.. Did the job and was nice knowing there was not another car out there that colour

That Veilside kit is just plain Wrong, It's so wrong a blind man could tell you its wrong. Have you seen the C-West kit? Now thats pure sex right there, the front end's evil as hell
-
Top secret rocks in my book, they got the look just right, goes better with the bonnet lip to.. Top job, I'm liking that a lot
-
Your car looks great! why fit the Veilside? its one of the worse looking kits out there IMO. I take it you mean this one?

John has asked me to post the following as he's got internet problems at the moment.. Quote: Well I have contacted http://www.andra.com.au/ asking for permission to run next year, fingers crossed & if ok will then contact the tracks for permission. Looking at the dates we have decided to run in BOTH of the Sydney & Perth Summer Nationals so really hope we can run. Have also sent an e-mail to HTL asking if there is any chance of a joint run - a long shot I know but if you don't ask - lol God knows if I will get the chance to do this again so worth a go John.

Midnight Purple Iii Cannot Find Supplier
DriftyR33 replied to dorifto13's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
Kinda, It has to be applied over a black base or primer to get the effect. Its extremely over priced IMO, I would go for HOK every time http://www.houseofkolor.com/hok/index.jsp -
Ive used just about all of the pads suggested, DS2500 where good but dusty as said, Red stuff were very good but cracked my discs, Yellow stuff I found to be the best overall, not that dusty, don't squeak, don't take that long to get up to temp, and stop the wheels real quick! I wont used anything else after a few laps with them in, excellent pads

Midnight Purple Iii Cannot Find Supplier

Well I've never had a problem getting a paint supplier to mix me up some, I was using Dupont paints at the time and the special tinter (Chromillusion) was available, I switched paint suppliers to Sikkens and they could also supply it, ask your local paint shop would be my suggestion although they will not have the formula on there system, they will have to ask there supplier to mix it, It's not cheap to! I was quoted £400 or $900 for 1/2 ltr!! but that was unmixed so you can double the amount when mixed with thinners, but your going to need about 3ltr to paint a car, so thats $2700 for the base coat alone, prices could be different over your side of the pond though. -
I use an alloy wheel cleaner thats acid based and it never touched the paint, I've also used a descaling acid before with great results, spray it on with a pump spray bottle, then pressure wash it clean, comes up like new Worth testing what ever you try on paint work first just in case though.
-
blind_elk is right, warm them up and if your lucky the glue will come off with the decals, if you end up with glue still on the paint I would use a panel prep/wipe de-greaser, its what vehicle paint shops wipe the panels down with before painting, if that don't move it I would try either getting it mopped with a compound like Farecla G3, or use a toffee wheel on a low speed drill. As for still being able to see it after removal, this would depend on what paint you have on the car, have you had it repainted or is it OE paint? and what type and colour it?
