  1. How do we book a cabin? Does someone have a number? Happy to book one and "sublease" to get the ball rolling...
  2. Who's down the night before? Lets work out a place to stay?
  3. Pretty far in advance but unless something signficantly change I'll be glad to help. Does a White R33 GTR score a hot looking bridesmaid as a passenger???
  4. Circuit Club Track day on the Queens B-day for the warm up. Couple of us going. I'm stoked for this one. Car should be well sorted with the suspesion work now done. Gotta tell you the SK camber & castor bits tightened it up very nicely.... So where is there to stay for those who want to go down the night before???? Who's headed down? And Jess - get my navigator's butt out on the track....He's good advice but lets see him show us how it's done.
  5. Just picked up detailers clay today and have a bit of carbon fiber bling on its way from Japan... I might have a pretty basic car but it will be there and looking its best...
  6. They both require skill but they are different 'sports". Drifting is a "spectator sport" akin to figure skating on ice. It clearly requires skill to balance the car going around corners, keep the angle, etc. But in the end its about style not speed. Grip racing is like speed skating. You don't get points for style - just finishing first. You also have to do it with other cars (more than 1) on the track and unless you start in front you have to pass to win. Suggesting it is easy is a bit short sighted.
  7. Thats pretty agressive isn't it. Just got mine done (Heasmans) and they have me at 1 degree neg front and back and were suggesting -2 was agressive for a street car. I do have a 33 so don't know if that makes a difference.
  8. I have an aftermarket Mines ECU to put in but don't know where the stock ECU is located (yea - kinda basic but still..) Where is it located and are there any trick to changing them out?
  9. As Chubbs says - different horses... I think drifting looks like a lot of fun but I have a GTR and for some reason Nissan designed it to go around corners with as little drift as possible. Could be that they thought drifting "the 'ring" wouldn't get them around in the fastest time (at the time) for a production car.
  10. likes Beer - check can talk - check interested in racing - check
  11. I've been running Nismo S-Tune pads for about a month & a half. Have been very solid on the track and street. Good cold performance. Sqeek a bit and the only time they have generate much brake dust is driving to and from DECA (long drive, highways speeds).
  12. How about this (with a Skyline of course)....
  13. Hey Corinne - what is the waiting list like?
  14. Does this mean we masses are in you you beer elites???
  15. I'll be at the Queens B-day event. I want to give Wakefield a go before the club track day there in July.
  16. I could deal with that action - especially if you have stickers... Seriously I'd just like to get some guys (and gals) together who want to spend some ttime on the track, have fun, get better and drink a few brewskies afterwards. Taking the piss out of Team Wang is just an added benefit.
  17. Fully Sik Racing cause we're fully Sik... that would be FS Racing for those we aren't "in the know".
  18. I'm out - car's still getting work done
  19. I got a little coaching on the wangs that helped - mmmm who was my co-pilot? The Winton thing sound great. I'm good to go up a day early and spend the day there. I think we should come up with something.
  20. Wow - I seriously figured I'd be dead last for the whole event. If I could pull a decent time for the wangs I could really move up. Now i'm really stoked for going back. I would point out to everyone that we all believe skylinegtts was the most limited by his car of everyone there. He drove much better than the score shows.
  21. I'm running Project Mu SCR's. Think I spent around $1k for all four corners. Have had them out on one track day and DECA and am very happy over the stock brembos. Hard to isolate the rotors performance though as I changed out the whole brake system. I chose them after hearing too many stories about cracked RDA's.
  22. I'm a maybe - cars in the shop and I might not get it back in time
