  1. Model number? Any details that lets someone search for it?
  2. Not on the site - I asked. Freight is $30. Don't know about availability for anything but a R33 GTR but drop them a line.
  3. You more interested in a trade or a sale. I have a R33 GTR and have looked a bit for a CF Bonnet but am not sure I want to get ride of the stock one.
  4. Nismo Brake Cooling Air Guide (Item Code: 41180-RSR45): 17400Yen (=currently A$187) Pics from another site http://www.takakaira.co.jp/asp/template.as...RSsOpPpkmLnjqMl Just got that price today from Perfect Run. I wouldn't expect freight would be very expensive. Best price I've found and I've been pricing brake parts to upgrade my GTR. I'm also looking at Nismo S-Tune pads -any one have experience with them?
  5. Dropped a line to Powerplay. You gotta figure that anyone who could source a Z Tune must be connected. They could source everything I was looking for but the prices looked steep - though to be fair I don't have anyone else's number to compare to yet. Checking out the others today as well. Interesting about Linkint - Powerplay indicated they were the sole (besides Nissan Aus) authorised Nismo distributor in Australia. Maybe the wrong approach but I'm keen on keeping as Nismo as possible. Right now I'm working through the brakes with suspension up next. Strangely, Nismo doesn make a rear brake rotor - just front. Feedback I've gotten from most is that Nismo is top quality, always fits, great performance and designed by guys who obviously know Skylines. Interesting to note they don't produce any electronics.
  6. I'm keen to pick up several Nismo parts which aren't usually stocked by the local shops. Who has had experience ordering either through local parts supplier or some of the bigger guys from Japan? Who would you recommend?
  7. Ever consider organizing a road trip to Japan?
  8. We can go one of two ways So the last pizza cruise was a night thing. Took off around 9 and headed up for pizza. Would be a fun kinda night cruise but some of the less behaved boys might be more inclinded to act the fool. One approach could take is to drive up to Palm late afternoon, catch sundown at the beach, then head down for pizza and everyone can go their ways (home or out) from there. Probably argues for a Saturday night (March 24th?). Alternatively, I was thinking a bit more Sunday morning - day like the Blue Mountains & Wiseman's Ferry. Drive up in the morning - hang at the beach. We can either BBQ there or then leave back down to Mona Vale or somewhere on the way back and get a bite. I suspect by March the weekend crowds will be down and finding mass parking during the day will be OK. Sunday the 25th is probably a better option for that. What do you guys think?
  9. I bot from them when I was in the US. Good prices versus retail and a great selection. They usually ship to an approved mechanic who installs. Wonder if there would be an opportunity for a group buy as I'm sure the shipping on a container of tires would be much less.... How is Australian spec tires different?
  10. In plus 1 and felxible
  11. I've been sideline for a few. Lets me look at some date and see if we can get this organized.
  12. kids now days have no respect....
  13. Think about how loud you want it to be. Seems like every week there is someone in here looking to borrow a stock exhaust to put on because they got defected for an exhaust that is too loud. Some exhausts also have a really bothersome drone sound. With the one I had on mine originally the drone was so bad at 4K that I couldn't hear my stereo. Ride in a few mates cars before you buy. I run a Kakimoto racing exhaust which I think is great. Very throaty but not real loud and no drone. Do know anyone who sells Kakimotos in Aus - bot mine used. I think there is a HKS model that is similar.
  14. SydneyKid, Would you recommend anything different for a R33 GTR V-Spec? I understand the V- Spec suspension is stiffer to begin with. Would be looking for 98% road / 2% track use. Thanks!
  15. Guys _ I saw these and would love them but need the same size all the way around for a GTR. I then spent a lot of time trying to chase down a set that would fit and they are exceedingly hard to get - no one could find any. If you want a hot set of wheels and want to make sure you don't show up at a SAU cruise and see half the parking lot with the same wheels as you - these would be the ticket. If you want to check out the manufacturer http://www.kakimotoracing.co.jp/
  16. Absolutely in and in for the nite before. Let's see, what do I need to add on before then.......
  17. In looking at aftermarket coilovers you see spring rate like 10 f / 8 R running to even stiffer (12F / 12R) than that. I assume that a laerger number means better handling but a rougher ride. For comparison sake, what would the stock spring rates be on a R33 GTR V-Spec? I also ntocie that in other threads rates are being quotes as triple digits numbers (200). I assume this is a different unit of measure? How do you convert these numbers to compare to the 8-12 above?
  18. Does anyone have any experience with these coilovers? http://translate.google.com/translate?u=ht...Flanguage_tools
  19. Definately cool - I'm in..
  20. Great Cruise Moanie. We took off a bit early across the ferry and cruised back via old pac highway. Flying along just after some twisties and decided to slow down a bit. Next thing you know there is our fav blue and white sitting roadside. After an "oh sh*t" I look at the speedo and was I OK. Great job and thanks for all the work.
  21. Note you: - Didn't do the burn out - Drove responsibly afterwards - Didn't smart off to the cop You handled it perfectly and got the result you should have. We want to cops busting down on the street hoons. While we can be blamed by mistake like in this case, when its handled right, what happened to you should happen.
  22. If you go take a look on youtube (currently down or I'd send you a link) you can see a lot of clips of the Japanese drivers shifting. The mines skyline clip is a good one. They shift very smoothly and not at all in a rush. Ive found it interesting to also see the clips where they show their feet on the pedals and how they heel/toe the brake & accelerator.
  23. Could someone post an address we can whereis for directions?
  24. In general with a GTR you want to run the same sized wheels at both ends as ATESSA assume this is the case.
