  1. So true. I'll take crap from Chubbs anyday cause he's actually an OK dude and can drive on the track, even if he preferrs cronic oversteer.
  2. 100% in - time taken off, etc. Tell me where to send the money
  3. I can confirm that. Had one disintegrated on the way home from the track.
  4. One cause of warped rotors is pulling your handbrake when you come in after a run.
  5. Sounds like you might have done this drill before? http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?ti...=Potenza+RE-01R Have considered if it would make sense to get together and get a container from TireRack in the US. Tires and wheels are much cheaper over there but shipping one set across costs a bunch. Has anyone tried that before?
  6. Hey, just because I don't drift the corners doesn't mean I shouldn't get a bit of respect Thanks Liz - I would like to trade some hammering for a smoother line and faster times but that will come...
  7. If you haven't already purchsed it, and you expect to do a lot of track time, you might consider an oil seperator. It serves the same function as a catch can but also seperate the oil and feeds it back to the engine. It will cost more (prob $400 all in) but provides a "closed loop" system.
  8. the love in here is just so overwhelming.....
  9. I definately want another go at Eastern Creek.
  10. Give my Federals have shot craps, I need some new street tires that can also do track duty until I get some semi's. I also need them Saturday as I'm not showing up at the the show n shine with a donut spare on the car. Last time I looked Toyo T1R were the ticket so I'll give them a go. Need 4 in either 245/45/17 or 255/40/17. Anyone know who might have the best price?
  11. They would probably be ok for you as you do run semi's at the track. C thinks they are a good tire but just not trackable. I'm thinking about getting semis myself. After last night the idea of have another set of tires around is an attractive idea. Still need new street tires though. I don't trust the remaining 3 after that. I would point before the next drift day I now have 5 drift tires in the garage - bit ironic given I don't drift.
  12. I believe he was asking if the were S-Tune HA as in Height Adjustable
  13. Great day at the track until 60k out of Sydney when one of my front tyres self destructed. Pulled over with no problems and change into my donut 80kph max spare. The traffic backup was actually a somewhat pleasant site as it meant that everone wasn't passing me 50kph faster. Long drive home. For those of you who I have suggested trying Federal SS595s - don't. 3000K, 1 DECA and 1 track day and they fall apart. Maybe OK for the street but if you want a high performance tyre - these are not them. Great to meet Moanie. My friend is actually my son Chris. Apologies for not getting your partner's name. Serious thanks to Raul for setting us up with garages and taking me out and showing me the lines and well as taking Chris out for a few sessions. For those of you who haven't been to a circuit club track day - they put on excellent events and I would strongly recommend them.
  14. Clear skys on the horizon. Should be good tomorrow. See you all at the meeting point or the track.
  15. Congrats and welcome to the family. Now start going to SAU events and meet other owners.
  16. I'll probably be out to watch you guys.
  17. I'll bring my earplugs. I know how loud it is, but it sounds great.
  18. So don't renew. If you are not benefitting from the club then its not worth being a member. I think the membership is good value at twice the price. The discounts aren't worth a fraction as much as the advice you get from the other owners - and by being an active member of the club you get a lot more than just surfing the forum. But if you do get value out of the forum or the club you should give back in either time or money either to the club, the forum or both.
  19. Thats stupid - never work. I'm personally in favor of everyone getting neon installed and flashing morse code...
  20. see you guys at the meeting point
  21. I'm not sure what he is riding but it's not me. I thnk he better hope we run into those "hotties" in the Ford Focus again...
  22. By comparison Nismo S-Tunes are 6 & 6.7 and the R Tunes are 9 and 8. If you are thinking about shocks/coilovers this is a good read: http://www.wincom.net/trog/autocross_secrets6.html
  23. Sure it's not a myth? I want to see you riding dude. If you don't then Andrew rides with Jess and I'm running empty. I don't have the Chubster's sexual magnetisim to attract hottties to ride with me...
