  1. Thanks for the feedback. The easiest option for me is a drop in replacement since this is what I have right now. So I wanted to know if the KAI would get me towards 300KW. Going E85 is not really an option since the car is used as daily ride and E85 is not that common in the UK. Of course I could throw in a bigger turbo on hi/low mount and make 300KW. But that would constitute ripping my current set-up apart. Yes, my car is set-up for 300KW (4 Inch / 3.5, Poncams, TomeiFuel Pump, 555 Injectors, Blitz FMIC etc.) I am making the current 260KW at .9 BAR ! so the engine flows very well.
  2. Hi, Is the GT2835Kai still a good option these days or has it been super-seeded by newer designs? What power output is reasonable to expect with that turbo? I currently have a non ball bearing hybrid making 260KW at the wheels. (on RB25) So I am remotely thinking about an upgrade to get me into the 300KW region. Would that be realistic with the GT2835Kai? Thanks ..
  3. I was not questioning GTs experience just interested why he says Platinum plugs are not his preference.
  4. Fair enough .. I tried various plugs including multi ground electrode NGK plugs and they all worked. However this BCPR6EGP plugs seemed interesting since it has the Japanese length and a very thin electrode which helps to ionize the space between the electrode gap (in layman terms makes it easier for the spark to form) I will give them a try and report back.
  5. I see what you mean ... I thought of these plugs as an alternative to copper, not the PFR.
  6. Why not ? Do you have negative experience with them?
  7. Well, The copper ones are cheap as well, and this is still an NGK plug ... The tip looks fragile though
  8. Has anyone heard of this plug? NGK 7088 BCPR6EGP Single Platinum Spark Plug http://www.autozone.com/autozone/parts/_/N-5yc1s?itemIdentifier=505371 http://www.driftmotion.com/NGK-7088-BCPR6EGP-p/dm800.htm It seems quite cheap and is a Platinum. Also it has the Japanese length as opposed to the Platinum plugs usually recommended, I use the copper variant but possibly this is worth a try ... What do you think? Cheers ...
  9. Ok .. Thanks for the input. Will source the market for the makes you've mentioned. Cheers
  10. Hello, I would like to install a fuel pressure gauge in the engine bay. (GTST) Is there any gauge brand you could recommend? (or is there possible a kit for that?) Has anyone pictures of how to neatly place the gauge?
  11. It seems to be keeping the lower stock intake runners and from the design I would expect less low down torque but possible added high/mid to top end power. Long runners increase low rpm velocity (torque) but might hinder flow somewhat when you're up the rev band. Is the turbo upgraded?
  12. Good point about the flip forward. I definitely don't want to lose that feature ...
  13. Yep, custom rails for sure, but would you know how much effort this is? Are the Evo seats adjustable in height?
  14. Hi, I recently saw an R34 with Evo 8 seats. These are reclining, nice, and somewhat match the colour theme of my Skyline. Has anyone here ever done this? Is it a straight forward process using my old seat rails and and transplanting these to the Evo seats? I can weld and grind but is there anything else to take into consideration? Cheers .,,,
  15. Cheers for the feedback, I am not running a sub but might consider a small sub in the boot with a small 100-200 Watt amp. I did this kind of installation (on different cars) before but always had issues with noise from the alternator. (actually running 2 amps and 6 speakers + sub) But now with the Skyline and its battery in the boot this might not such a huge installation task. Possibly a sub-box with an integrated amp would be ideal.
  16. Alright, Thanks .. I have 6'5 speakers in the rear but thought I might get more bass out of 6x9.
  17. Thanks, Yes, I know about the spacers but what about the 4 holes to mount it? Can I use the existing ones? Would you have a link (Ebay) as an example for the JDM speaker?
  18. Hello, Can I mount 6x9 in the rear without drilling any new holes? (So can I use the existing holes where the factory speakers were mounted?) Thanks ..
  19. R33 GTST2 ApexI Induction Kit Tomei Poncams 4'' Tomei downpipe 3.5'' HKS Exhaust System Blitz Return Flow FMIC Hybrid Turbo (Standard Housing) 555CC Nismo Injectors NISTUNE (Z32 ECU) Q45AFM 252KW @ Rear 302KW @ Engine Max Torque 560NM @ 3900 @ 14.7 PSI @ Shell V-Power Nitro+ (whatever that is) http://www.shell.co.uk/gbr/products-services/on-the-road/fuels/vpower/what-is-v-power-nitro-plus.html Turbo ran out of puff at higer RPM, would not go over 14.7 PSI. Car is fun to drive with good torque/midrange.
  20. OK, I can answer my own question after talking to the BC-Support: The Pillowball Tops don't make much sense on a double wishbone. So rubber top it is.
  21. I just talked to BC technical support. They recommended 6/5 for 'fast street' and 8/6 for track use. They also said only the rubber tops (RA) make sense on double wishbone. http://www.bc-racing.co.uk/applications/nissan-coilovers/nissan-skyline-r33-gts-93-98.html
  22. BC also offers 6/5, at least here in the UK. 6/5 was recommended by them if you want a more comfy ride.
  23. Has anyone recommendations / experience on BC (BR) Series? http://www.bc-racing.co.uk/applications/nissan-coilovers/nissan-skyline-r33-gts-93-98.html These are either Rubber Top Mount or Pillowball Top Mount or both. How much noise is to be expected from the Pillowballs? I use my car mainly on public roads so I am interested in a less noisy suspension .. As for spring rate I was told 8/6 KG would be alright. Cheers!
  24. Thanks ... I was thinking of 245 at the rear and 225/235 for the front
