  1. Not too convinced on rarity Ash... I mean, there are heaps about and they weren't a remarkable model, most are now in poor condition. RVF/VFR400 are more the 80's catch. But you could be right.
  2. ^Sounds very silly obviously. Most likely people are trying to get what they paid for them back when they were the majority of 250's on the market or the value has stayed high because of the original worth. There's no way they would actually sell for that much. Kwaka 250's are just as good if not better considering the km's. Plus you can put an Akrapovic on them Praying rain doesn't fall over Phillip Island circuit tomorrow... Just that little bit of land... Please please please. Friggen bleak forecast for the next two days
  3. Agreed, it's all bluffing if theres already damage to the car.
  4. Aw cm'on, lemme have my fun Driving around in an Alfa Giulietta turbo today through the Otways, mmmmmmm
  5. Sure I enjoy riding Ducatis, but have known many cracked single sided swingarms (stupid design purely for looks) and also busted starter motors, usually these are recurring problems as well that take forever to fix because Euro parts are difficult. After working in motorcycle wholesale you get an idea of what bikes last well and what doesn't. Also Euro has a small section of the market so problems won't be seen as often as they would with equal numbers. Having said that the Streetfighter is on my list, but as you say only for looks and sound. As long as an owner is happy with this then that's cool, I wouldn't be able to buy one without another bike in my garage, due to the type of riding I prefer. On another note did you know the state of California has more motorcycles than the whole of Australia? Freakin awesome.
  6. The four major Jap brands (Kawa, Honda, Suzi & Yam) are all hghly reliable, it's only finding something in good condition similar to purchasing any vehicle. Koreans are hit and miss, I've known a few to need new engines early on but my Hyosung lasted 45,000km and I completely thrashed it. European... Don't even bother unless you want it only for looks and will never ride it, or you are willing to spend the value of the bike again in repairs. So to answer your question... Ninja's are good.
  7. Yes. LAMS means that it's based on power/weight ratio hence why an SV650 is acceptable on you L's and P's but an RSV250 isn't. Two strokes are fun bikes but are quickly going out of fashion because there is no longer a class in MotoGP and now the same for 125's (Replaced with Moto3 four stroke 250's). Basically due to polution so lame.
  8. Usually there's a three day course for l's and a two day course for p's. Both about $250. They are very similar tests and I don't think many people would have trouble on either. I suspect the reason why they have this structure is perhaps because of how it was formed in the past (could have had a bigger difference in restrictions, also the fact that you used to be able to get your bike license before you were 18 would mean you couldn't go straight into p's) and the fact that cars have two stages as well (you can get this license without a car license where as for truck I believe you require a car license therefore the stages are done differently) Quite simple to complete, if you can get it done then it's done forever
  9. I would recommend an SV650. Relevant to learners as a market but also tourers so they resell quite easily and not much depreciation. V engine, good cc's, quality build, probably one of the better learner bikes that's stil in a not-too-committed price range. Or you can get you license and wait for your restrictions to finish and go straight for the bigger bike, but I'd rather have learning curves on something I don't care about. Either way you should get one

Black R32 GTST with stickers on Burwood hwy near taronga road just after 7pm. Turning into the coles complex.
  11. Bahahahahahahaha. Gold.
  12. Agreed. They had some crazy stat recently on how many people would die because nurses went on strike. Ridiculous, lives are priceless. They should be paid much more.
  13. oooOOOOoooo, want to come to a track day at Phillip Island on the 16th of January? I'm getting a group together which means we get a discount and it's an awesome day
  14. Happy Birthday Aaron This morning I went to get milk out of the fridge and realised that last night I had put the ice cream in there by mistake. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Question: Is there anyone in SAU Vic that rides motorbikes seriously?
  15. Been wanting to do this for a while now. Will look into it properly as soon as life gets consistent. Anyone know a good mma place south to east near cbd?
  16. x2 I hadn't smiled yet this morning... Thanks gais.
  17. You're correct asthetics and performance are completely different ball games
  18. I also included Japanese and was only speaking from an asthetical point of view, it wouldn't need to be top of the line Euro. Also I don't think just because a car costs less it has an excuse to be less attractive. They're targeting a different market, I'm obviously not that market.
  19. Yah I don't like the HSV either. Actually the only new age Ford or Holden I /do/ like is the Monaro in its simplest form. That will age really well and it's elegant.
  20. Ummm... Grey tacky bits? I don't think Ford is exempt of this design fail: I don't think either has anything on Euro or Jap.
  21. I agree, thats's incredibly dodgy! 'Sif the rest of us should get punished with no mercy while he gets to do what he wants. Maybe in Europe but you can bribe those cops with almost anything, and at least it's consistant. Special consideration? Grumble grumble grumble
  22. Haha, sorry dude, only have penicillin and this apple flavoured stuff. Although I can get sedative for when I clip the horses in winter. I'm guessing though because I can administer it myself it's not the good kind. Will probably kill you. Dutch as a first name, switched to last name when my ancestors entered South Africa
  23. Thanks guys As you can see with the last photo, the chain links around a gate and reconnects to that metal piece in the lhs of the pic. I'm guessing he tried to put his head through to reach 'greener' grass, pulled back and caught the edge on his jaw somehow. Seems ridiculously hard to do but it's the best I've got. Searched the whole paddock for other signs but the hair makes me pretty sure it was here. Was indeed way too close to his eye but fortunately missed even ripping to the edge, was always about 7mm away. So lucky in some ways but so damn harsh in others. I love this guy, he's the sweetest dopiest horse I've ever had. Will spend the next couple of weeks watching him like a hawk and injecting penicillin morning and night.
  24. Had an interesting day today. This morning one of my horses decided to skin half of his face. Fortunately I was there as am not often and it most likely would have ended in infection and death if he wasn't treated. My vet has never seen anything so bad and neither have I. Therefore if you can stomach some gruesome pictures... Image of actual injury is quite full on so I shall put it here. After we sewed him back together And finally.. what caused it: Nine years of happy until now on the least likely item in the paddock. wtf.
  25. Damn it, have a stoopid wedding the next day somewhere near Lorne so will be there lame-o
