  1. Im farely new to the forum, and I finally got some nice pictures of my R32 that i picked up in December. thanks to my mate. I took a fair few of them, and was just wondering if there would be anyone who could give me some tips on how to take better photos.. whether it be the contrast in the background, angles etc, because I would like to learn a bit on making the car look its best in photos. I spend that long polishing etc that I like it to look good in photos if its going to represent what it looks like in real life!!! Anyway.. any little thing would be helpful or even little things you can see on the car that might need improving that wouldnt cost a whole heap!! (Yes, P plates should of gone!) Thanks.
  2. FINALLY!!! Some quality photos
  3. Very very noice!!! Like the plates too.... lol
  4. Hopefully soon I will get some nice quality shots because all my photos I have are terrible... ah well

  8. Was in the city last night, saw 2GU UP.. pretty sure it was anyway... looked hot as!
  9. Its a hard topic. Its even worse at my age. I have mates that love cars, at uni, never owned their own car, and want to buy a house before their first car!!! Obviously if you can afford it, a house would be the way to go. Just for example, I have a mate going for a home loan at present. Pretty much 20k deposit, and looking at borrowing around $250-300k (Apartment). The repayments a week are around $500 a week for 25yrs. Not cheap, easier to afford if you're partner can chip in also. I don't regret taking a loan out for my car for one second. I mean, im only 19 and seriousness will come into play sometime soon, but for the time being, I'd rather have nice car whilst im still young, enjoy it, settle down and then look at something like a home years down the track Being 24, I suppose its in between..that's how old my mate is thats taking out a home loan.. and he sold his VL turbo to do so. He thinks its the right thing to do... and if you feel the same just go and do it.. saying that.. $500 a week is hard to come by.
  10. pm sent..
  11. After seeing a R34 GTT, black with black GTT rims made me think they would look awesome one mine. After a quick chop, I have the two below. First being how it is now, second.. with the painted rims!! I reckon it looks great.. what does everyone else think?? Also, any idea where I could get this done in Sydney? Would most panel beaters do it? Cheers....
  12. I have seen a couple of R34's with their GTT rims painted in black. Is there any chance someone could just change the colour of my rims to black instead of the silver Cheers Sorry about the shit quality photo.. dont know what happened with my 3 megapixel phone camera?
  13. Got Camera?? Awesome pics. Great Scenery too, nothing over the top
  14. Just got my new plates Sorry about the average quality, its off my phone;) Edit... it actually came out alright!
  15. Best Wallpaper I Have Come Across (May be ruined by the logo on the top corner for some people!!) Brock's Skyline Another great site: Car Wallpaper
  16. Pleeeease don't put them on!!! The 34 rims look way better! If your gonna pay the money for those rims new just buy Impuls or something. If your set on those rims i think without chrome would look better
  17. Awesome car buddy... nice subtle mods makes it stand out from the rest
  18. This is true. Does anyone know if they factor things like recalls etc into the COTY awards? Or where they after the competition was run? Only because, the new VE's (minus the recalls) seem like a very well built car. The SSV is a great all-round car, whilst performing exceptionally, having enough room to fit the 3 kid family in the rear comfortably, great styling (ok I could start a war with some people over that) 19 inch rims standard, and a lot of standard features. I coming from a commodore background am slightly biased but I don't know how people cant just sit down and realise that holden MAY have just brought out a car they may be worthy of winning the award.
  19. Im sick of my sucking pod noise.. anyone want to swap for a stock air box ? haha... Sounds cool at the start but you get the shits because anything over 2500rpm you cant avoid it.
  20. This sounds like fun. Im a big maybe though because I have no speedo, & HICAS is playing up a bit. I can still drive it but shes a bit heavy so not sure if its all in all worth it. I'll confirm if or not I can make it.
  21. This sounds like what might be my problem, ever since I haven't had a speedo, my HICAS light comes on a lot, and steering becomes very heavy. As soon as I turn the car off and straight back on again its good for like ten minutes or so. I have been told the speedo wouldnt have anything to do with it??? Its my actual speedo cable thats not connecting, I need a new one. Do you think by getting a new one this will solve my HICAS problem? Thanks in advance
  22. I don't miss driving my old ones at all compared to my 32 (VN SS Auto, a 6 Spd VX SS). VX was good fun with awesome torque but it never felt all that quick because it was so big, but it actually did handle quite well, and it was only lowered. I like the new VE's. The GTS looks great I think. I'm a big commodore fan though, and if I could afford one I would buy an LS1 again and do some serious modding. I just love the 32 because its almost three times smaller engine, petrol consumption is great, handling is exceptional and its just an all round great car.
  23. Corvette hands down... always been a massive fan of that shape
  24. Thanks very much for everyone who helped, much appreciated I'll let you know how i go!!
  25. ok awesome thanks for your help, sorry to be a pain, but did you install it yourself?
