How To Break In A 2-way Diff
Chrispy replied to Bainator's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
So where do you do this? Shopping centre carpark at 2:00 AM? -
I've had a couple of them... Great cars and the TwinTurbo ones are nuts with a bigger 'cooler, exhaust and boost. They are a bit tricky to work on, while you can remove the turbo's with the engine in it's not a good idea as it takes twice as long... It's really a DIY maintenance sort of car, if you are happy to crack out the spanners and have a go the costs of fixing them are pretty good. Check out www.aus300zx.com friendly bunch who will sort you out Good buy Was thinking about buying this one myself... I know this Zed, very clean

Velo Podium Fixed Buckets!

Piccies! Sorry, thought it was in my avvy... I'm in Brisbane. -
Going to flog off my race seats as I've got some OEM 300ZX Recaro's coming which are rare as (only one other set I know of in the country!) They are blue and yellow Velo Podium's. Fibreglass frame, VERY light and VERY stiff, you can pick them up with one finger no hassles. These are brand new, I bought them off a guy with a rally car down south somewhere. They have never been installed in a car or used. One is still in the original packaging. These are fixed back, so no good if you want back seats. They are FIA approved and made in Australia, but now out of date, but ok for street or sprints. They are quite tight, but well padded, about 50mm wider than a comparable Recaro or Bride. Has very good thigh, shoulder and side support, you wouldn't move in these seats. Also has provision for 5/6 point harnesses. I will try and get acurate measurements of the important bits this weekend, along with pictures. They come with Sparco sidemount mounts (no sliders). These will not 'just bolt in' to any car. These will require some custom work to fit properly, I believe that rails are available for R32/33. This is the slightly newer version, looks the same except for the colours. $700ea or $1200 the pair (negotiable within reason). Won't seperate unless I have a buyer for the other one. These are over $1200ea new and that's without the Sparco mounts! I would prefer not to post them, when I got them up from Vic it cost around $180. If you really want them I will probably be able to organise something.

Bumpy! Want them gone... -
Hi all, Got a set of four RS-GT 19"x8" wheels. These came on my '93 slicktop 300ZX and I don't have any need for them as I have lightweight Ray's already (and 8" wheels are a bit skinny for a 500 hp RWD V8 )... Tyres are Achillies 235/35's all round. The guy I bought the car off bought these new before the timing belt went less than a 1000k's later and he sold it to me. Unsure of wheel offset, but fit perfectly on the Z, so assume that they will suit a R33. Nothing is stamped on the inside other than the load rating and width. I'd suggest you come round and try them on if you are interested. Chasing $1500 ONO, I want them gone. Cluttering up my shed Located on the Northside of Brissy, pickup/drop off only. You can PM me here, or on www.aus300zx.com, or e-mail chrispy300 at hotmail etc or 0400 023 604.

Nissan Vh45de And Impul Ecu
Chrispy replied to ed300zx's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
These fit suprisingly well in R33 engine bays. They have a front sump so no mucking around there (unlike on the Z's). There is also a group buy on adaptor plates to mate up the Z32 5 speed manual gearbox being run on www.aus300zx.com -
The Q45 AFM will max out way before the Z32 one... Check out www.nicoclub.com they have a whole forum dedicated to the VH45. I've been hanging around there a lot since I'm sticking a turbo VH45 into a Z32...

Nissan's engineers went over the top on these engines... Adding in things that they could have done without. The VVT was dropped in 96 due to emmissions, that's the only reason. Nissan reckons that they still kept the same power and torque, but most people aren't convinced. I quite like my Z and was looking quite seriously at getting a R34 GT-T not long ago to replace it, just couldn't get a reasonable amount of money for mine... So I've decided to keep it and wack in a TT V8 There is much more choice when buying a Skyline, you can afford to be picky and get a decent one relatively quickly for a good price. For the Z's it's very hard to find one that is in good condition within 1000k's from home within 3 months. Another thing the girls always prefer the look of the Z over the R33
