Hi All Am New Here Looking For Other Late Night Drifters An Cruze's
oweban replied to L8SHFT's topic in Introduce yourself
the law is the law. </story> you wanna do stupid shit, great. but you're not part of the community. EDIT:: we save it up for track days. we don't want padding, we don't want a car park. we pick a spot that we're allowed to go on legally, and have a fun day. -

as chubbs said, this smells of police/tt/aca. please, no bait and switch. drifiting/racing on public roads has NEVER been endorsed by SAU, is NOT allowed for discussion on the boards, and NEVER will be. -

Anyone Know Any Good Workshops In Wollongong?
oweban replied to clippy213's topic in New South Wales

Yeah looks good now Sorry, didn't mean to nitpick at all.. Just offering some advice from a personal aesthetic :3

Yeah, or why go?? Or stay the night, or one of many other things she could have done to eliminate herself as a risk. It's a joke, I totally agree with what the police are saying. Especially because there's no points associated with it, she'll be back out on the road going "hehe guess what I got away with". RAGE
-
Oops, Paddington. Still; the point remains. This is for leaving after 10:30pm, which apparently she did (after a work function).
-
Was on the front page of the newspapers... I'll find it. Terry: Pretty much. It's ridiculous. http://www.smh.com.au/nsw/law-review-after...0804-11aba.html So because she would have had to walk 20 minutes and it would have taken her 2 hours to get home, she drove drunk. It'd take me 2 hours to get home from Bondi too!!!!! GRRRRRR and a lot more than that on trains
-
Wait, so some stupid bitch gets off for drink driving because there's no buses that go to her place, and you don't get off for accidentally being in a bus lane?? GET f**kED I have to walk 20 minutes from my nearest bus stop/ train station to get to my house too, does that mean I can drink drive after a party because it's too hard? It would have cost her $8 to do so f**king shitty system in place dude, respond and then ask how it's applicable that someone knowingly broke the law by drink driving was allowed a section 10 but an error in judgement is slammed down on i am SO angry over this
-
*shivers* ohhhhhhh god yes xmas cruise and jimmy sounds good too
-
Wait what??? GNR (or only one) will be there? Way to draw in the bogans by the millions. Get AC/DC there and you'll make squillions. And Pink, cause she's already some mascot bitch.
-
Here I was about to say "I hope OP has his flame-retardant suit on", then I saw the rest of your post ;P If they actually used it to do driver training and courses and tracks instead of pissing it away on schemes that don't work? I'm all for it. I'm still of the opinion that everyone should do defensive driving courses. When I have kids, they'll be doing courses (if it's not mandatory by then, oh lol what am I saying, that'd save lives, oops) whether they like it or not.

Oh I don't deny that it was a loss of concentration that made me go 5km/h faster... I know I should have been watching a bit more. Just sucks as for the placement, at bottom of hills and all. Ah well! It's done now. EDIT:: On flat ground, yeah 5km/h feels a lot different, but going down a hill less so. Doesn't make it OK though.
-
Yeah, it's the old "tell them one thing then fk them with another" trick. Oh well. I suppose we shouldn't be shocked at being lied to by the RTA.
-
Apparently 6 for now, although somewhere I read they planned to extend to possibly 35? Yeah, all about safety. Cough.
-
Yeah, saw a black one on the way home from Sydney on Sunday morning, at the bottom of a dip, around a corner. Was riding the brakes the entire way down the hill anyway, and maybe hit 105 at the very bottom; I bet I get a nice "warning" letter. Was watching the road because it was a little damp, not my speedo... Oops. Wrong thing to do. EDIT:: at the bottom of a dip facing both ways actually; gmaps link to follow. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source...mp;t=h&z=19

not really sure how this is relevant. redhairdness and refusal to believe in something there's no proof of (to us) isn't a failing. but your point on the $2000 rebate etc is interesting; they may actually put limitations on the rebate, such as the car they're buying has to conform to a certain standard. The charade might use less fuel, but will probably expel a lot more random shit from crappy cats, etc etc... *shrug*

Hazard Perception Test: Green P Plates! How To Pass?
oweban replied to La Bomba's topic in New South Wales
Yeah, green P's was actually pretty good.. Oh wait yeah it was the blacks that f**ked me up, oops. Anyways, as squareznboxez said: grandma driver. Be paranoid about everything, the RTA thinks this makes you a better driver than being actually alert. Just remember: Before you walk in, take a big deep breath, and try to stay calm. Sure the money sucks, but if you fail, it's not the end of the world If you do fail and you get a gist of which ones you got wrong, you can always update this post and people will try and help. -
Hazard Perception Test: Green P Plates! How To Pass?
oweban replied to La Bomba's topic in New South Wales
Basically: the one where you press the screen? Any time there is any kind of hazard or potential hazard, tap the screen. This includes mums with strollers on the side of the road, cars coming to a stop at a perpendicular street (who would have to wait for you to go past as you have right of way), people opening doors... all of it. I think the most I hit the screen in one go was like 8 times (keep in mind this was like 7-8 years ago now) As for the turning right against traffic: only press when you have a HUGE gap.
