  1. thanks guys for the offers. but please stop making stupid offers of $500....
  2. maybe instead of the tv doing a thing on hoons every 2 weeks, they should do an investigation into cab drivers? get a undercover police officer to go for a ride with a hidden camera to some destination. and at the end of the ride give the cabbie a fine for all the driving offences they have done. one night on the way back from north sydney at late at night, my mates and i got a cab back home...... - the driver only knew if he was in the lane by the line markers (noise of hitting them), - he never used an indicator but was changing lanes every 400 metres (dont know if he meant to change lanes?) - at one point there was a sydney water truck stopped in the middle of the road doing work.... and the cabbie didnt realise he wasnt moving till we just about hit it..... (scared the crap out of me as we got closer) - he did a 3 point turn in a thin street where there was double lines - when we said to stop and let us out he kept driving another 50-100m the guy seemed like he was half dead
  3. if youve got stock suspension then you shouldnt have anything to worry about?
  4. from what i understood drag radials need a good smoking to get them heated up? also yes with your burnout start in the water so there isnt a massive shock to the driveline, but then get the car into the dry area so the tyres have more friction to fight against. keep an eye on your mirrors to see that you are making good smoke as well
  5. so much hp and they hardly even move! would be funny as if someone decided to build a rotor version.... 5 20b's connected to each other...
  6. if it means anything i bought a kenco one a few years ago, i have used it on my 4 last cars and it worked perfectly. fitted nicely, but if it was outside and windy.... you were almost best leaving it of because it moved... it only has one strap on it. but if your looking for one when the car is inside, then just get your regular cheap ones, they dont scratch and if they have anything on them that might scratch... just cut it off. the one i have is just a thin 1 layer thing, but its not like a tarp its a very soft fabric. perfect for inside protection.
  7. please feel free to send me offers if anyone is interested. no harm in making an offer.
  8. if possible dont use spacers at all, just get the right offset rims to begin with that have aspoke design that wont foul the brakes.
  9. 225 on a 8 inch rim isnt stretch. also if the tyre shop you went to can only adjust toe, tell them you want your money back. they should be able to adjust camber, castor and toe if they know how to wheel align a car. with the sizes and specs you have the car shouldnt be scrubbing, so just get a proper wheel alignment done, and that should fix it, but if your bushes are stuffed that may be a reason
  10. if you don't mind me asking, what do you want them for? if they are for just replacing old ones, then get 300zx rims.... but if you actually want them for grip, and wide 16's get some R32 GTR rims. they are wider and have a better offset.
  11. how good an upgrade would you call them? did they make much difference to handling?
  12. eugene these are some awesome looking and good sized wheels. would almost like to swap my R33 GTR wheels for them, need a car though
  13. you can buy them now, theres only a certain number of places that sell them. i think wheelworx in adelaide sell them. also you can now get blue. yellow and green smoke tyres. dpending on size there like $100 and up . and you cant drive on them road with them
  14. i sold my car and i only have my bike now. saves me sooooooo much money. i got a postie bike of steroids.... Honda CB250, not a CBR its great, got a top speed of 110kmph, but it has no oil filter, no radiator and it gets 30km per litre. cheaper than public transport.
  15. you need to go to a wheel repair place for that sort of thing, all i did was just drop off the wheels and pick them up a week later. $120 for 4 wheels powder coated. before i dropped them off i covered the wheels in paint thinners to clean all the crap off them, and there was only mark that the guy needed to rub down and they were ready. if you want to see pictures mate, follow the link in my sig. it has about 10 pictures of the wheels and how they look now. it was money very well spent.
  16. dont go to bob jane for wheels. i work for a bob jane casually..... and i dont recommend them dont go to tempe either. get some good wheels not this 7inch wide +40 or higher offset shit. get some proper wheels. send a message to some of the traders on NS.com and they should be able to set you up with a nice set of 18x8.5 or 9 inch wide rims with an offset that will fill the guards. last weekend we had a guy come in with a r33 gtst and he put on some ugly 18inch crhome wheels with a +40 offset.... they fit, but they hid so far inside the guards, if he got the right offset to begin with, it would have looked much better
  17. i found that a 205 didnt actually look stretched on a GTR when using a 55 series sidewall. it looked normal. but a 50 series tyre looked slightly stretched.
  18. i doubt anything from ozzie can be had in the right offset? your best off talking to people that import wheels and asking them what your best option would be
  19. as it too high an offset or too low? i would have thought it would be that the offet needs to be more a +25 for a better fit?
  20. have you ever thought of putting a 1JZ in it? maybe another option
  21. definently need to bring in advanced driving courses. my girlfriend cant drive for shit, and somehow she passed the test after failing it 3 times. it still scares me to get in the car (121!!!) p platers should be restricted to a power to weight limit like i was when on my L's for a motorbike. it makes a big difference going from a subaru liberty to a WRX, which i have done. and being slightly older when i got the WRX i had experience and sensibility to drive it
  22. they should. they will easily fit the rear, with the front it may depend on camber and tyre size as to whether they fit. the rim will fit for sure, its only a matter of what size tyre. i have seen many GTST's with GTR rims
  23. bump, someone with a GTST GTT or R32 GTR must want these.
  24. 235-45-17 is the perfect size for a 9 inch rim, especially for price, availability and guard fitment. maybe wider on the rear for drag use, but otherwise no need. cheap brands can be had for $100 brand new, but offer no grip. or up to $300 brand new with great grip
  25. depends on brand.... some brand will have a stiff enough sidewall that it wont matter, whereas some are really soft and allow the tyre to move more. but its better to have a correct sized tyre. so 205 is a better fit.
