  1. you might want to try some of the traders on NS.com ive seen a few with those wheels for sale. or they should have some similar wheels with a better offset
  2. man if you want reliability, good build and a well designed car get a corolla. it should never die. but dont get a pug! my mate went from a S15 to a 206 rally or something..... idiot! he did for the same reasons as you, Insurance. But he still wanted some speed, why not get the sportivo corolla? why dont you look at getting a import non turbo, theyre around the same price, most of them are cheap to insure and they have better looks than whats available domestically
  3. im not 100% sure if 9 inch wheels fit the front of a R34, but from the one i saw today, i would say they do. go for a 9 inch front and rear and run a 235 semi front and rear. you dont need wider tyres unless you have some massive hp, and because they are the same size as commodores and falcons they will be relatively cheap for a semi. i would stick to 17's as well because thats what the car came with stock and you will have some good sidewall flex. you do want some. 18's wont really provide it. also i dont think 16's will fit the front of a r34, otherwise just get some cheap r32 gtr wheels and run 225-50-16 semis on them
  4. retreads are just plain stupid! i work in a tyre shop and have seen some of the retreads that come in. why would you bother getting retreads when you can get a full set of second hand tyres.... normally fitted as well for $200. and thats in a 16 or 17 depending on where you buy. hell brand new tyres arent that expensive when you consider they look after your LIFE!
  5. damn i wish you were in sydney! i love these wheels, was looking for these when i bought my R33 GTR wheels
  6. SOLD SOLD SOLDFor Sale - Continental ContiSportContact 265-35-18 tyres, 1 pair. Condition - these tyres have a LOT of tread left on them. Please look at the photos for tread depth. The tyres have no flat spots, punctures or any thing that would make you think they were damaged. They were taken off a car because the owner preferred Pirelli's???? go figure. Pictures - Location - Sydney, Thornleigh/Pennant Hill area. Pickup only, sorry no interstate sales. Contact - please send me a PM or reply to this thread, I will give interested parties my mobile number upon request. Price - $200, this high price is due to the tyres condition and brand. They arent cheap junk tyres, and they retail for over $300 brand new. Adrian
  7. i hate fwd's but the idea of a corolla with a 200kw engine sounds good.
  8. yeah but like the money wouldnt be worth it if youve got a crowd watching! would love to destroy a set of those..... would make a great video. next theyll need the make them for motorbikes
  9. bingo ^^^ that guy started at $1700 and over 2 weeks has dropped them down to the same price as mine. ive been offered less than $1000 for mine
  10. im selling a full set which have no buckles, very minor gutter marks (VERY VERY MINOR) with centre caps, and im offering street legal tyres with them for $1300. you wont sell a set for $2000 anymore because you can get better wheels for cheaper. market value now seems to be between $800 and $1500 depending on the buyer. im asking $1300 for my set which have 235-45-17 tyres, and the rims have been fully polished on the faces. look awesome.
  11. stretching does look weird but for the best fitment ive been told to fit a tyre which is the same width as the rim 9 inch rim = 25.4x9 =228.6mm therefore a 225 or 235 is perfect fit. for drags go wider but for cornering dont.
  12. i think the big fat pedal is for - as said so that you can plant both feet on it in an emergency. or so that you have more of a pedal to hit when braking? maybe some people miss it???? and the foot brake instead of a handbrake is just stupid... cant pull it when driving, and you cant rest yuor feet where it is
  13. wouldnt mind going on a cruise like that but might look a bit out of place on a motorbike
  14. damn wish i was up in qld to have a look at this thing.
  15. dont go for a cheap oil.... i used to buy motul for my 200sx and it cost me about 40 for 3L. just changing the oil used to cost about $100. why risk going cheap... an engine is a lot more expecnsive to replace. also are you sure you cant just call up DBA and have them redrill some other brakes to fit a NA R33?
  16. 16inch bridgestones are now sold
  17. i run a 215, up to a 235 on a 9 inch rim and i know that a 255 would sit perfectly as well, so definently will it fit and be safe
  18. interested in a swap? i have a set of R33 GTR wheels for sale that have been fully polished on the faces. would you be interested in a swap?
  19. i dont think you read it properly my PREVIOUS s14a. i had them on that car... they looked awesome and handled great, but would have preferred a +25 offset for that car. but now i dont have a car. need to know what has to be done though before i buy a skyline non turbo
  20. As I cant seem to be able to sell my GTR wheels, and I will eventually be buying another car. Im looking into getting a atmo R33 Series 2..... But for some STUPID reason, Nissan decided to make the non-turbo R33's 4 stud???????? WHY! So the questions are - Will R33 GTR rims fit a R33 GTS? Do the guards need to be rolled? Do spacers need to be fitted? (my previous S14a they just touched the front strut) What parts are needed to make it 5 stud? Do I need to upgrade the brakes? (can get cheap discs but what about calipers?) What is the average cost of converting to 5 stud? Who on here has done the conversion? and do you have any photos? And lastly if anyone is interested please send me a PM about buying my R33 GTR wheels. Adrian
