  1. Well then change your goal to be as strong as you can and the muscle will come Im not against isolation exercises at all, yes they can definately help and like you said if a muscle group is lagging it can beneficial to target it. However it comes back to goals. If you want to lift as much as you can, piss the overheads away and do closegrip benching. Overheads may still help, but a tiny percentage when compared to the other. If your after solely muscle size, then yeah go nuts on your isolation exercises
  2. Yeah see it all comes down to why you train and what your goal is, I know it's a cliche saying but it is SO important. If you just wanted a big bench, it would take almost all of your tricep isolation work out. There is no point doing 20kg db extensions if you want a 120kg bench. Your tri's may be big and used to doing quite heavy isolation work, but put a big load through them and they are not used to functioning that way. For a big bench, working your triceps through close grip benching and board presses is heaps better. Your trices are being worked hugely in those exercises, but the important this is they are under a massive weight load, as comared to pulldowns etc etc. But if your goal is to be big, ripped, have a good bench etc, then yeah, do your isolation work if you like. Now, Im not one eyed. Although i used to do powerlifting and weightlifting, I now have to be very fit, run long and short distancde, have alot of muscular endurance(high reps), do heaps of bodyweight stuff etc. So I change up my training as much as possible, but that's how it has to be for MY goal. So it takes a long time now for me to get my bench up, and squat etc, because I'm training for so many different things, now and again i even go backwards in something ha ha Most important thing work out what you want, otherwise you'll be zig zagging forward instead of going in a straight line. You might get there, but perhaps you could have got there a long time ago
  3. thanks to all the people that made this possible, you guys did a great job. Had fun, i think the weather was perfect in terms of driving, a tad shit for spectators and officials, but shit happens hey. Wont be here for the next one but will def get into it again next year. Cheers!
  4. yeah i had blitz rims on my 33 when i bought it, in the same size and offset you mentioned and they fit fine, no spacers no rolling. I have pics up in my thread in the projects/overhauls section if you want to check em out
  5. Im not sure which exercises you're talking about, but the way you need to look at them when you are hitting a plateau is "why am i hitting a sticking point?" If it's bench for example, doing bench nonstop is not going to help you get the weight up significantly. If you find your struggling at the top, you need to start doing alot more tricep work ie board benching/close grip etc. At the bottom, start doing speed work ie lighter weight but moving it as fast as you can, and heavy negatives. Point is to get good at an exercise it's not always best to do that exercise. Look at what movements are worked, and work them. Same as a 100m sprinter, they dont just sprint 100m nonstop all day. They do different intensities over different distances, they do alot of weight training, all just to get their 100m spring faster. Olympic lifters, to train for a clean and jerk, they dont do clean and jerks. They do deadlifts, highpulls, hangpulls, front squats, backsquats, jerks, pushpresses etc, just to get their clean and jerk better! I know it may seem like common dog f**k, but most people forget it. If you take a step back and think about it, in relation to all your compound exercises, you'll find that they will all improve immensley.
  6. yeah i need to the aasa license on the day also
  7. No difference mate. In australia ther are are only a couple of factories that actually produce whey protein. They then onsell it to supplement companies who add their own flavours, protein mixes(ie isolate/concentrate) and extra bcaa's etc etc. A couple of these companies just sell it raw(no flavour or additives) for a lot cheaper online. Might not taste good, mix that well, or have fancy packaging, but the protein content/quality is the same.
  8. does the steering go heavy also?
  9. yeah good one mate, I'll change how I speak just because you don't like it...rightio
  10. Don't get your knickers in a twist mate. Again, i dont care whether the discussion had ended or not, i was just stating the truth of the matter.
  11. Im not too fussed on what you were discussing, all I said was that compound is multi-joint and isolation is single joint. It's how it's always been and still is. Dont try and be a know it all if you dont know it all, too many of them in the fitness/weightlifting/nutrition industry anyway
  12. effective for what? If you want to be good at doing pushups, then yes they are effective. Every exercise known to man can be effective, you just need to tell us what for though.
  13. dude, i dont care what a dictionary says. Whatever your doing it for makes no difference, the true definition of a compound exercise is a multi-joint movement, and vice versa for an isolation exercise. It doesnt matter what you think, that's how it has been for the last hundred years mate
  14. Just for your info compound and isolation has nothing to do with how many muscles are working, it's actually in reference to how many joints are working. So although yes, a fly does work more than one muscle, if done properly it is an isolation exercises, as the shoulder joint should be the only joint working.
  15. over the counter mate. Musashi make seperate amino acids and carry l-tyrosine. THere are also a few good practioner companies such as bioceuticals etc that carry tyrosine in their thyroid products
  16. Genuine carbon fibre ganador mirrors to suit R33 Been on my car since Feb, just need some cash at the moment otherwise i'd keep them. Don't really think there is any need for pics, located in south west syd $450, bought brand new in Jan for 550
  17. Had a bit of spare time this evening so put in a new Personal steering wheel, leather with suede around the hand grips. Really nice looking wheel. While i was at it put a just jap removable boss kit also.
  18. ha ha, nah no 'attempted' drifting in this thing. No updates really, collecting parts but Im just flat out at work and away a fair bit so no time to really do anything. Had a day off yesterday so did a quick trip to repco, bought 90bucks worth of paint and took to the wheels. The anodizing on the te37's were worn down anyway, and i thought i'd give this a shot before paying to get them powdercoated. Turned out really really good, very happy with em.
  19. i bought mine off Dane, but here is one which looks exactly the same. really not that much to them http://www.gmpracingproducts.com.au/accessories/misc-tow-Strap.php
  20. I have a Willans adjustable tow strap on mine, pretty much the same idea as above, bolted on to where the reo meets the chassis. I have an indicator on the front bar which i remove on track and it sits there.
  21. I have 245's on the front of my 33, they sit on +22 9 inch rims. I had to roll the guards, and on hard turning it rubbed splash guards, but i modified them to suit. I think i'd be able to fit 255's on and get away with it, but your problem is the gtr wheels will sit further in than mine, so you might have alot of trouble with the splash guard and even rubbing on the suspension.
  22. wheels are sold other parts still available
  23. i used ground zero and i can say i'm not happy with the MANY bubbles in my tint. Perhaps i should stop complaining on here and take the car back there
  24. Hey hey can you change the wheel colour to gloss black Cheers dudes
